About
Restaurant is closed - spoke with Open Table and they apologized for the inconvenience
This restaurant closed for good the last week of August due to rent increases. It would have been nice to have been informed by open table. Fortunately we figure it out because we called to try to make an earlier reservation. It’s a pity. Had been looking forward to the meal!!
Our large group was accommodated easily, the food was tasty and the wait staff efficient. The one annoyance, several listed wines were not available, and we gathered early on a Saturday evening.
The food was delicious. Recommend the cauliflower for sure. Additionally they did a good job with some handcrafted drinks as well.
This was a decent experience. The food was good but nothing spectacular. I did get dripped on by the air-conditioner as in other reviews. The wine list also had several wines no longer available on it – as a matter fact most were no longer available. The service was great though! It just wasn’t a great enough experience overall to warrant returning.
Wow we tried Americano for the first time and were so impressed! A great selection of food and great service!
I read reviews of this place and it seemed like a good choice for a casual meal with a co-worker. It was close to the hotel and convenient. It was almost completely empty at 6:30 and now I know why. While the service is cheerful and a little over - attentive the food is really below average to bad. The menu is small for a tapas place and most of the four dishes we ordered were disappointing. The kale salad is small and boring, the scallops were raw on the bottom, and the Korean ribs were dry with a gloopy overly sweet sauce. The only thing worth eating was the brocclini and even it was over-sauced. Do yourself a favor and find something cheaper and worth eating elsewhere.
Fantastic experience!
This was a place I would come to Nashville just to eat there and drive 4 hours home. I can’t stop thinking about how delicious it was.
We had a fantastic experience! Each plate we tried was an experience onto itself! The flavors were amazing! The service was exceptional!
Always an amazing experience! The server even took notice that my regular party included my Mom tonight - he took time to make her visit extra special!
The food is always top notch!
Highly, highly recommend going to Americano!
We were supposed to dine at Chef & I but they lost our reservation. We found an available table at Americano and boy are we glad. The food was great. Dave was our waiter & had great suggestions. One of our group is a vegetarian & was impressed with the options. Totally recommend. We all agreed that Chef & I losing our reservation turned out to be a blessing. It was a great night.
So many interesting tapas it was hard to choose. Five served the three of us well. Watermelon salad was my favorite.
We enjoyed several small plates - street corn, spicy cauliflower, scallops with blackberry horseradish sauce, lamp chops, and fingerling potatoes in smokey tomato sauce. Scallps were outstanding, lamb chops rare, and cauliflower was too spicy to eat. Service was friendly and the restaurant was not busy when we were there, so very quiet. Easy parking.
Great food and service, as always
Some of the wine on the list not available. Server did not visit table often. Water dripping down from air vent. The food was worth dealing with the other inconveniences.
Americanos is a really somewhat hidden gem in Nashville. We went on a Monday night and there was a group of over 40 that were there when we arrived. Once we saw them we started to leave as they had not gotten any food, but a friendly server assured us she would take care of our orders. She did and we had no issues, the tapas were all good, particularly the Nashville hot cauliflower, Mexican street corn and a chopped Kale salad that rivals that at super upscale Kayne Prime. Even with the large group, we had all our food in a timely manner and food that should have been hot was. My only complaint is that Americanos is following many area restaurants and adding the liquor tax, 15.25%, onto the menu price. Once you add the normal sales tax to the liquor tax, you pay an additional 24.5% tax to the menu price. Only recently has this become a practice that some, but not all , are doing.
Food was good! Ambiance was great! Loved the new experience!
Americano remains, as it has been since it opened, the best/only good tapas option in Nashville. The tapas menu seems to change more seasonally than it used to, but the paella remains top-notch. We ordered the charcuterie board, which is fairly new, and it was outstanding. The wine and beer selection is well-curated, and the bartender made a cocktail for us that used to be on the menu but is now off without missing a beat. I deducted for service because we had some new staff who could be better, but that's a struggle for all restaurants in Nashville these days and smoe of the longer-tenured staff do a really good job.
The food ranged from fair to good.
Best Paella on earth. We conducted a great business meeting. Kelly took great care of us. Drink were fantanstic as well.
This is my second time dining at this restaurant. I enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.
We were only people in the restaurant and our food still came out and it was not hot. I don’t know if my seared scallops was even cooked. Everything was not the quality that we had on other visit’s. Our bill was almost 100.00 and we were not pleased with anything.
First time at Americano-enjoyed all tapas plates and look forward to going back for paella with a group soon. Great drinks as well.
We're thrilled you enjoyed your experience with us, it's why we're here! We look forward to seeing you again. -Liam DeLaVega, General Manager
Fantastic food! Highly creative and imaginative. A few of the dishes (cauliflower especially, but also tuna) were too hot (spicy). I'd take the heat level a notch or two down, or at least give a heads up to the customer.
Thank you so much for coming in and letting us know what you thought. We will definitely do a better job at alerting our guests to some of the more... kickin' menu items moving forward. Again, thanks for your invaluable feedback and we look forward to seeing you. -Liam DeLaVega, General Manager
Food was amazing! The variety of tapas was interesting, the paella was tasty, and everything tasted great. Well worth the price.
I’ve been in Nashville for 6yrs, and I am SO SAD that it took me so long to try Americano. The food was EXCELLENT, the service was very good, and the ambience was better than expected given the high traffic location. Not only will I return soon, Americano is now on my list of stops for visitors.
Casey and David are amazing! The food was creative and delicious! The ingredients were fresh and locally sourced. I only wish that the portion sizes were a little smaller so that we could have tried more stuff!!
If you take a trip to Nashville and you’re looking for a great meal & great service look no further and make a reservation. This little gem should not be missed. A big thanks to David who helped us make excellent dinner choices.
It was our first time dining there and our server was very friendly and patient seeing that we had our kids with us. She made great suggestions and we really enjoyed our food. We also loved the ambience and background music. Definitely coming back for more!
I can’t stay away from this place. Nor would I want to!! Everything was delicious!
Food is very good and service attentive. If you have not tried this place yet, and like tapas, go for a visit.
Fabulous tapas - large servings too! Our server was wonderful and the food delicious. We were there later on a Friday evening and it wasn't crowded. We'll definitely return!
Birthday dinner.
Some of the best food in Nashville! Will be back for sure.
Terrific food! Great service! Highly recommend the scallops, short ribs, kale salad, flank steak and brussel sprouts. Large portions for tapas.
Amazing food and service. Simply some of the best small plates ever! Our server David was fantastic
Outstanding! Really unique flavors. David a great host.
A welcome reprieve from your typical Nashville fare. A rare find with an exciting menu. Food was expertly prepared and delicious. Service was impeccable. Loved the kale salad and compressed watermelon salad, which was a nice healthy option in a city where Mac/cheese is considered a veggie lol. Also loved the charred octopus, skirt steak with chimchurri and plantains, scallops and lamb chops. Each tapa had an exciting twist to it to tantalize the palate. Shaun is a masterful restaurateur/manager, prices were reasonable too! A must do in Nashville!
Really good meal. Four people for Mother’s Day, reasonable and great tasting food!
This is my 6 TJ meal here, no issues!
