Overall, our experience was disappointing and fell far short of expectations. Despite having a 6:30 reservation, we weren’t seated for nearly 15 minutes. After that, it took another 20–30 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. By the time our wine arrived, the busser had already cleared our clean glasses—likely assuming we were finished, though we hadn’t even been served yet. While the food did arrive in a reasonable time, we weren’t given any silverware or plates and had to wait another 5–10 minutes for those. As a result, our meal was cold by the time we were able to eat. For a restaurant that presents itself as stylish and elevated, disposable napkins and a single fork handed to us just don’t align with the experience one would expect. It’s a charming space, but the service and attention to detail were truly lacking.

I’ve been here a number of times and it was becoming one of my favorite places. It has gotten more popular and now they really need to manage their reservations better. The last two times I was there, and had a reservation, I waited 20 minutes in the crowded entry for a table to open up and when seated the service was very slow. They could fix the issue by accepting fewer reservations.

Disappointing place. I had high hopes but was let down by the experience for brunch.

We had to wait about an hour to sit down. The host sat a later reservation before us. The only reason we got a seat was because a server pushed two tables together for us. The bottomless ended at 3 and our reservation was at 1:15 so would have worked perfect and got the full 90 minutes but we didn’t get started until 2 and they had a hard cut off at 3. We spoke to the manager and he was incredibly rude and did not apologize or offer anything comped. I will not be going back. It was unacceptable.

4 Stars for the Food, 1 Star for the Service We had dinner as a family at Americano while visiting Chicago. The atmosphere was chic and stylish, and the food overall was really solid. The burgers and sweet potato fries were a hit, and the mac and cheese was delicious. The branzino was flavorful but came with some scales left on. Still, the kitchen deserves 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service from our waiter, Damian, was a major letdown. From the start, he seemed cold and dismissive toward our table. He rolled his eyes, ignored basic questions, and didn’t once check on how our meal was going — even though we saw him checking in attentively with other tables. When we asked for a simple switch to sweet potato fries, his response was a curt, “I’m not sure.” There was no smile, no engagement — just a sense that we weren’t welcome. We’re a family with kids and don’t usually bring them to more upscale restaurants, but we were traveling and staying at the hotel, so we made an exception. Sadly, it felt like we were being judged for that. We also had an issue with the mac and cheese order — we asked for an adult portion with chicken, but were served what was clearly a kids’ portion, and the chicken was missing. When we raised the issue, Damian got defensive rather than trying to resolve it. Another server ended up bringing our check and boxing our dessert, explaining that Damian was “busy” — though he was standing in the back, clearly avoiding our table. Despite all this, we still left a 20% tip, in the hope that this was just a bad night and that future families won’t feel as unwelcome as we did. We’d consider returning for the food, but we’d hope for a warmer, more inclusive service experience next time.

They’ve got a brunch menu listed on the website which is also the same brunch menu they give you at brunch— and you can only order about 9 items from one section off of it. It’s exceptionally confusing and also false advertising.

We reserved outside. Zero accommodations, was not kind about it. Same thing happened to the table next to us. Mistake, booked for the patio specifically.
