Great place to grab a beer and a burger
We love this place. The food never disappoints and the drink menu has a good variety of offerings. The patio is always a nice place to dine right alongside the Harpeth River.
On a beautiful warm and sunny Fall afternoon, a good friend and I enjoyed lunch outside on the patio. Everything was very good including a very nice server. Great burgers and fries (and tap beer).
We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious! The staff was great, we visited on a warm busy night and were able to sit outside. Shout out to Rae the hostess who is welcoming, friendly and great with everyone and their pets!
Lovely outside dining, especially on the riverside.
hot chicken Pimento BLT is so delicious! portions are a great size. Service is decent - not super friendly, but it's fine.
it was a beautiful day weatherwise and it was so nice to be outside and enjoy a bottle of wine....the trio dip plate was good, but we wished the wine selection was better...nothing over the top, but just something like Kim Crawford, Whitehaven, Ferrari Carrano (Sauvignon Blanc) ... our server was delightful and allowed us to have a great long visit, yet she checked on us quite often.
Nice outdoor ambience. Food was very good and server was friendly.
Only second time back to TapHouse since conversion from Boathouse. First time, before the fry well was up and running. Second this visit. COVID seems to have taken a toll. Very limited menu. Fish and chips were good. Blacked tacos were a bit skimpy. Server was very good.
We had a great time at Americana Taphouse! The attention to the cleanliness and safety of guests was apparent. Solid beer selection with popular local brews and other regional selections. My husband enjoyed the offerings. Burgers were great and enjoyed the fish and chips as well. Looks like a good spot to watch college football with a large projector on the patio. Planning our return trip from the Nashville area.
I failed to check the new menu prior to my visit. They are clearly moving to the burger and beer crowd, which probably makes sense. I was disappointed to find my wedge salad and coconut shrimp have both been omitted.
The service was good as usual!
The food was delicious, I had the salmon and I ordered a side of the chili roasted okra and they were both cooked perfectly and very tasty. Unfortunately our service was not that great and the waitress continued to forget to bring items that we requested. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Our service wasn't the greatest as we sat with empty water glasses quite often and our plates weren't cleared, and more cocktails offered. The outdoor seating was great, the appetizers were delicious, but my pot roast was over cooked and the grits tasted bland.
First time at Americana Taphouse. Was excited to give it a try. Atmosphere hasn’t changed from Pucketts Boathouse. I was excited by the menu. Had the fish & chips....it was okay. Waitstaff was great. Will probably give it another try.
Our server Carol was great. Friendly and helpful. Food was good. Beer was good. Overall enjoyable experience.
Pretty disappointed. Everything from the service to the food could only be rated as two stars. With so many fantastic restaurants in Franklin, we were terribly disappointed we wasted one of our dinners on Americana Taphouse.
Good time with friends. Food was really good but a bit heavier than expected. Will come back.
Great atmosphere. Used to be an old filling station. Smaller menu, but good selection. Food was delicious.
The changeover from The Boathouse amounts to a coat of white paint, re-branding, and a revised menu. It used to be PACKED on a Saturday night. No doubt COVID-19 fears and rainy weather didn't help, so we shall see.....
The ambiance and server were great. The food was really bad and far too expensive for what it was.
We had lunch there & the food was really good. We had burgers and a cobb salad and we will definitely go back.
Just ok. I had a burger I could get anywhere. Service was great but lots of empty tables and a large party loud was seated very close behind us with many empty large tables all over the restaurant. This Ended our conversation — we had planned for another drink after dinner but left for a different place.
The food looked way better online than in person, and so did the photos of the restaurant. We were expecting a new vibe and it still looks very similar and smells awful.
Great service and good food.
We were all disappointed with the food at the New Americana Taphouse. Honestly, I've had a better cheeseburger at McDonald's. The fish and chips were exactly the same as the "fish sticks " on the kids menu, except one more piece of fish. My wife's pot roast and grits were subpar as well. All in all, I don't think they made a good decision changing to this restaurant. Wont be back.
We found the Taphouse to be just OK. We loved the boathouse and wanted to give the new concept a try, but I doubt we will be back anytime soon. The service was excellent, the food was well prepared, but was expensive for the portion size. We also found the menu to be limited and not unique to other restaurants in the area.
Very disappointed in food selections...five of us ordered different dishes and all of us were disappointed.
Great food, service and entertainment!
We’ll be back!
Sat outside service was good sandwich great ,Fish and chips ,Fish a little greasy .
Is a downgrade from when it was the Boathouse. Menu was very limited and very basic. No music. Do not think we will visit again.
Hi there, We are so sorry to hear that you didn't have the best experience at Americana Taphouse. We are working with our staff everyday on providing the best service, and our menu is built to provide a little bit of everyone's tastes. We apologize if the music was not playing. We have currently been working on our AV system. We do hope you change your mind and decide to come visit us again.
I went on Valentine's Day 2020. The restaurant had only been open 2 weeks since changing its concept from Puckett's Boathouse to Americana Taphouse. I had an early reservation. The food was good. The service was a little slow considering it was early and not yet very busy. I definitely plan on returning!
BRING THE OYSTERS BACK then we’ll be back.
We plan to bring them back!!
Food selection was very limited and rather expensive. Service was slow considering restaurant was only 50-60% full. Do not plan to return.
Hi Denny, We are so sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your first visit to Americana Taphouse. We are working with our staff to continue to provide the best service that holds true to our standards. Our menu was made to satisfy the tastes of everyone, and we have many great options as well as a few Puckett's Boat House originals. We do hope that you will come back out and visit. We will be happy to take care of you!
I was hoping to get excited about a new place. The lighting is overly bright. The noise level is so high (nothing to absorb sound) that you can’t hear a conversation. The menu is the same old thing - Nothing outstanding. The cheeseburger was very mediocre . You would think that there would be better cheese than processed American slices. The fries were greasy.
There are better burger restaurants in the area.
We are so sorry to hear about your experience. As it is no excuse, we are working towards getting sound panels to control the noise. We hope and ask that you stay with us through the finalization of this transition. We are taking all of our reviews seriously, and making adjustments where needed.
I know that you are a new restaurant and that things always have to ironed out, but our service
can only be termed poor. The server was not particularly attentive--we ordered an appetizer and
never got it. She didn't ask if we wanted dessert.
Hi March, We are really sorry to hear about your experience, but we greatly appreciate you letting us know. These are not our service standards and do not reflect how our company normally handles business. We are constantly working with our staff to provide the best of the best service to make sure everyone has an A+ experience from the moment that walk in the door.
Food was poor quality and over priced. We order corndog appetizer that was cooked in a deep fryer that has not likely seen an oil change since restaurant opening. The cornbread exterior was soaked in oil and smelled like old oil. My $11 burger was the size of a McD's small hamburger and burnt. My wife ordered a $33 scallop entree that had 4 scallops on it. Son ordered fish and chips only to learn that don't have tartar sauce available. Bad, overpriced food.
Hi Jon, First, we are very sorry that you did not have a great first experience at Americana Taphouse. Please know we are taking every review very seriously and working to better meet the tastes and needs of our guests. We have let the kitchen management know if these issues, and they are being handled. We do hope that you will come back and see us and give us another try.
It was my daughter’s birthday dinner as specified in my OT reservation. There was no mention of it by staff. I brought it up to the server, but nothing more than a “oh, happy birthday” was done to make the night special.
The server spilled beer all over my jacket (required a cleaning) but nothing more than a “oh, sorry” was done. Was still charged for the beer. No manager made an appearance at our table.
We started with a wedge salad. Good, but pricy for what it was. Her burger was overcooked and my fish tacos were tasty, but unbelievably small. ...the equivalent of 2 tiny fish sticks. I could go down the street to Mojo and get ones bigger for $3 each. (Instead of the $14 Here)
Even though I live around the corner, I don’t imagine I’ll be back.
This is the only restaurant we have been going to during this pandemic, since they are doing a great job of following the rules to keep everyone safe. Plus the food is SO good.......highly recommend the black bean burger, turnip greens, & key lime pie!! Tonight was delightful on the patio with wonderful live music. My only suggestion would be to light torches in the holders along the fence and add candles on the tables for extra ambience.
