The menu offers a variety of dazzling flavors, styles and ingredients. All beverages from cocktails to mocktails are made with the freshest of ingredients, and are all made from scratch. The beverages are enlivening and expertly seasoned with flavors from East India.
The best Indian food I've eaten in the US — wonderful people, authentic cooking, delicious.
Large portions. Fair prices. Not your typical Indian restaurant. Interesting mix of seasonings and flavors.
Very underwhelmed. Will not go back.
Not great flavors, bland. Confusing menu.
American Tandoor is a pleasant, moderately priced good vale mall restaurant with above average food. No excitement regarding the food but heavy on the good tasting Americanized Indian comfort food. If you’re looking for heat and tastes that explode in your mouth, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for good tasting, mild Indian food, you have found the place. Did not try the street food quick serve outside the restaurant but looks good.
Horrible Food. Bad sitting and Bland Food..Looks like more stale
Food is superb! Fried Kale salad was and some of the best grilled salmon I’ve ever had. Highly recommend.
As usual food was very good
tween ager’s Birthday
Came here for a first date since I never been here before. It's in a good location so if your date goes south, you can go shopping afterwards or catch a movie at Tyson's. Anyways, the service was great. We were seated right away and the waiter was on top of his game. The food isn't super legit Indian, but that is actually a plus. I've been to "real" Indian restaurants in the US and overseas and my stomach can't take that pounding too often. The food here is like what Olive Garden is to Italian food. You can't really go wrong. The prices are kind of high, but you are in Tyson's where everyone pretends to be a baller. I'd recommend coming here for first dates if you want to show how sophisticated you are.
Lost it’s edge, typical shopping center cooking. Blah. Eat the Dosa outside at the street food counter. Still good, still authentic. Worth the cost and HUGE. Good lunch to share.
Lively, colorful place that is not too loud for conversation. We enjoyed the inventive appetizers, which offer modern twists on the traditional.
Initial impression was set by an extremely unfriendly hostess, who without a smile threw menus on a dirty table, turned without a smile and walked away. I had to flag passing busgirl to clean our table and replace smudged napkin.
Waitress, by contrast, was very friendly and accommodating, but the first impression is the first impression. We have been to this restaurant before, first time shortly after it opened, and the food was much better. It is a busy location, so the restaurant probably does not feel that they do not need to work too hard to maintain the quality.
Food food and great service. Love the different flavors
Loved the ambiance and the taste of the food was great. Would definitely recommend to friends. I have dined here several times previously.
Rack of lamb is plain amazing and reasonably priced. The Biryani is excellent too, you'll leave happy.
I guess the name says it all: American Tandoor. Those seeking an authentic Indian experience shouldn’t be surprised with the non-native spin of the dishes.
We've been here many times. Menu hasn't change, it's all good stuff but really wants to try new menu once in a while for our favorite place.
Everything was great but did not receive points (credit) for this completed reservation? Can you please follow-up? Thank you.
Consistently good food. Consistently good service. A great place to eat!!
Great food, great service!
When my brothers and I go to American Tandoor, I have a trust that we’re going to like what we get. Food’s the tiniest bit on the salty side for me personally, relative to the same dishes at other restaurants, but it’s not a problem as long as they keep the water glasses full, which they do. The service is always great. Recommend the samosa sampler and the palak paneer, and the butter chicken is a family favorite.
Server Nick was amazing. Saturday night at prime time is was very busy and noisy. Food very good!
Considering that it is kind of an 'Americanized' Indian restaurant, the dishes were quite authentic. The varying flavors were delicious, the menu had lots of wonderful choices. I will go back again.
Worst service! Avoid at all cost . Your order will all be messed, missed. Quality of food is not good and expensive. There are better choices in Tyson
Food was very disappointing - quite bland and boring.
Celebrated a birthday, my party size doubled but American Tandoor made it work, the atmosphere was great! Food was delicious- I just wished they would have brought more drinks and refilled water faster.
I was really impressed with American Tandoor - it was a good menu with small plate selections - gave us an opportunity to sample a number of things. The food was very nicely done- not like some other Indian lunches - no buffet with goopy sauces and unrecognizable food. This was very good, including crispy kale palak which I love. Will be happy to go back and try more!
Terrible food and terrible service. I've had lots of Indian curry in my time, and this was the worst I've ever had. The chicken tikka masala did not taste like it should. The service was late and poor. My food arrived 30 minutes after everyone else's, and the waiter brought anything we asked for after we no longer needed them. Really bad. I do not recommend.
I love this place. The service was great. I would recommend anyone to try this place. I drive over an hour to come to this restaurant
We went there for dinner. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Lamb Raan and zeera aloo. The Lamb Raan was thoroughly cooked and good with spices. However, the Biryani was bland in taste. The presentation was nice but the lack of spice in the dish made it not good. If they can ask what level of spice we want at the time of ordering, then it could help make the experience better. The zeera aloo also was more aloo than zeera aloo. Add more zeera to it.
What could make the experience better is to add either a pallette cleanser/starter.
They should at least offer complimentary raita or sauce with the biryani. For the value of the dishes, it would make sense to offer this at least.
The drinks though were very nice and well presented.
Made a reservation for 930pm. When we got there had to wait a while at the hostess station before anyone came to greet us (waitresses and other staff looked over from time to time). When someone finally came over and I told them I had a reservation at 930 and they acted surprised and asked if I was told that they closed at 10. Upon sitting, the waitress told me that the kitchen was closing in 10 min. Food was good, but I felt rushed and unwelcome.
awesome per usual. staff were very friendly and attentive. we are everything we ordered.
Ambiance, food (yummm) and service was great! Definitely will be coming back often.
Made advanced reservation through open table. I clearly stated that we wanted booth. Upon arrival we are told they don’t have booth and we opted for a regular table. We just sat at the table and a booth got vacated and we immediately asked for it. We were told that someone already waiting on it.
I see no point in making reservation thru opentable.
Very good food, and nicely arranged! And the service was great!
Creative and flavorful! If you love Indian spices but want American cuisine options in addition to the traditional options, this is the place for you. Their hand-crafted mocktails are DIVINE!
very poor service and food taste is mix of indian and American blend. There should be straightness for taste for food lovers.
Thank you American Tandoor for the excellent food and service. The best!!
Food options for vegetarians were limited. Service was not great. Definitely there is good room for improvement.
Perfect ambience, with good food. Great arrangements for winters with heaters and red lights. Great for hookah and food evenings.
