American Cut is a modern Steakhouse, brought to life by Chef Marc Forgione. The art-deco restaurant in Tribeca features several dining spaces, craft cocktails, and a special take on American classics, like the 40oz Tomahawk Chop and Chili Lobster.
We also offer two private dining rooms - “The Black Room,” named as one of “the best private dining rooms in Manhattan” as well as “The Morrison Room,” located on the lower level, with a private bar and dining area.

The service, food and the ambiance was phenomenal!!Me and my wife really enjoyed ourselves!! The steak was so tender and the biscuits were so good. We can’t wait to go back again.

Incredible food, server was a little inattentive even though they put us directly in front of the kitchen so lots of kitchen noises and servers rushing in n out around our table. Despite the service, the food is exceptional and will be coming back hopefully a million times

The food was good, however we waited an hour for our table. There were five other couples waiting about an hour for their tables as well. Afterwards I asked around and was told that apparently waiting an hour for your table table is their “thing”.
I love this place. I’m no amateur when it comes to NYC steakhouses - I work in sales and often entertain clients at the “top well known” establishments. After discovering American Cut I now only come here for a nice filet. My fiancé took me here for my 30th, then we went back for Winter restaurant week: no matter the night, the service is top notch, their Sommelier Mary is an incredible human, and the food is always amazing. Skip the hype of PL in Brooklyn, and other places that have gotten lazy over the years; Come here for true value and an unforgettable meal!

The food and service were very good. It's quite pricey but worth the expense for special occasions. Went for restaurant week and was pleased with the atmosphere, decor and comfortable vibe.
The place was really nice. Service was good. The sides we got were really good. We got the Mac and cheese and spinach. But, our steaks were not up to par. Me and my wife ordered our steaks medium. She got the 12 oz filet I got the Ribeye. And they both came out medium well. The server offered to switch it. But I was hungry and didn’t want to wait. I would have to come back and give the steak another chance. If it was cooked properly I’m sure i would have enjoyed it more.

Food was fine, nothing to say, I had a great meal, just good. We cane at 5:30 PM, and we were the first to be seated. Strong smell of bleach in the dining room, it did not add to appetite, we asked to be moved to another side, and we were, a lot further from the kitchen

The service & ambiance was good until the big group of people showed up. Then may not be much for a date night. The server was very friendly and nice but didn’t come back at all until pick up our check which was already paid... the filet was cooked to perfection, medium rare, but meat itself was dry and not tasty. The potato skin was the same. Too dry that we didn’t eat. It’s very unfortunate. I expected to be better here. However we really enjoyed the desserts!

We went here for our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the server was attentive (but not annoying), and the ambiance was phenomenal. We even got a free dessert in celebration of our anniversary :)

The food and ambiance at American Cut were excellent, especially for a special occasion dinner.
The service from the get go was just poor. We sat for 15 min once seated with no engagement from anyone. We experienced continued slow service and mistakes made on our order throughout the evening.
We were given an appetizer as an I’m sorry even though we never complained, indicating the awareness of substandard service. The food was good but definitely overpriced. And lastly was charge for an additional drink that was ordered but never received. Waiter removed from our bill when questioned, and in addition removed the first drink which was a customer friendly appeasement, but would have preferred to have just had the drink.
Just disappointed, would not recommend or return. Too high of a price to risk that experience again.
Made a reservation for our anniversary and had a lovely time. The food was delicious all around and the wait staff were very attentive. It was an enjoyable experience and we’ll be back!

Service was amazing and the fool was outstanding. We were a party of 12 and the staff made everything super easy. We ordered a collection of steaks for the table and a few burgers to be split amongst the group. Love the ambiance!!!
