what a total Pro our Sever David was! just outstanding. fantastic Meal and a great Value also. i was floored by the value, way less expensive than any Prime Steak House in Boston or the Suburbs and they serve Dry Aged Prime!! not Wet aged like around Boston, and a good 20% less than the Wet aged around here. better quality and better prices you just can't beat that.
5 star treatment for our anniversary
Great place. They never fail to deliver. Food and service top notch.
Amazing experience and amazing hosting from restaurant employees.
It was my Husbands 65th Birthday and we came to NYC to celebrate.
We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted very well no problem.
We went and had a cocktail first again no problem.
When we got to the table our server came and he didn’t introduce himself so I asked him his name.
After a while we got menus and then ordered some drinks.
We then ordered our food.
However he had t told us about the specials.
The server then told us about the specials after we had a,ready read the menu. He spoke so fast we had to ask him to go through them again even though he was shouting because if the noise level.
Our starter came and was was incorrect so that went back.
Our main course came with sides and they were incorrect the server explained he had made substitutions because the kitchen had run out but he didn’t check.
We ordered a second bottle of wine but again he brought a replacement because their was none of the first bottle left.
This is our fifth visit to the restaurant and the most disappointing even though we had told our friends how fantastic it was but not this time.
Before leaving we visited the restrooms honestly had I have gone before eating I would have left, they were disgusting.
Good atmosphere and our server was great, problem was the martinis were terrible (we reordered and they still weren’t great). Steak was OK, not as flavorful as other places I’ve been. Sides and Mac & Cheese were delicious but portions were small compared to a normal steakhouse. Not rushing to go back here, much rather given my business to Wolfgang’s or Strip House.
We had the best meal celebrating my fathers birthday. Our server Jared was enthusiastic, accommodating and absolutely made our experience. Coming to American Cut is now a family tradition and we could imagine celebrating anywhere else. Thanks Jared and Team!
Had my husband surprise birthday dinner there and the staff and food was amazing. Everyone said there food was cooked to perfection. Drinks were awesome too. The only complaint was due to the buckled floor that I was informed was going to be fixed and it wasn’t so I felt bad for the staff and guest who would trip but we all made fun of it. All in all it was amazing and for my first time there I would return just to have a nice casual dinner there with the hubby. I do want to say thank you to American Cut for the great hospitality and wonderful food! The porterhouse was EVERYTHANG!! Lol twice baked potatoes heaven! Lol. Thank you thank you and thank you!!
Great food and service.
First time here. Food was adequate. The service was outstanding. I forget the waitresses name. If we ever came back it would be for her.
Very good, it has been a while since we had dinner at AC but it was worth it.
Dined at American Cut Tribeca for a family birthday dinner. Very good take on classic American dishes. Mac & Cheese, mashed potatoes (puree), etc. The table side presentation for tomahawk is a bit gimmicky but steak was tasty nonetheless. Overall good dinner, albeit a bit noisy.
Went here for NYC Restaurant week and thought the menu options were really great!
We’ve dined here many many times since opening, and they know us, but this evening was average at best. To have our waiter continually apologize because there was a party downstairs while we waited and waited doesn’t work for me. Will pause before going back.
Great food and service. I highly recommend.
Food was very good ..Jared was amazing waiter and great customer service ..love it there !! First time and I’ll b back p
Everything was amazing, starting with the bread that I had to guard from the bus service who tried to remove it from the table!
Waiter was attentive & so friendly, food was great, and I'll be keeping this one on the list to return!
Immaculate service, large portions, delicious filet, energetic ambiance, and lots of space -- my date and I felt very comfortably seated and had a great time. Waitstaff was on point. A Tribeca gem.
Food amazingly tasty, service abysmal, decibel level deafening. Our server was not at all thrilled when half our party was interested in the Restaurant Week Menu...in fact, she sneered at us. Not a good look for a high quality dining establishment.
Went for Restaurant Week one late evening with my boyfriend & the service & food far exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be returning!
Great food and overall ambience.
My wife and I had a good date. Great food and service was very good. A little loud but it’s the ambience.
Tenderloin tip was dry. Asked for Medium well. Was pretty well done. The hash brown was ok. Was not impressed. Maybe because it was restaurant week they were servicing mediocre food. Not sure. It was warm as well. The AC is not working. The seats are comfortable but very worn/torn. It's a pretty space. But wasn't impressed
Great service. Amazing steak. But the real standout of the evening was the Clams Casino. Everyone at the table thought they were truly awful. Sadly, it overshadowed the rest of the food which was fantastic. Highly recommend the lamb and the pastrami ribeye. Smoked Old Fashioned was also top notch.
The hosts were welcoming when we arrived. The ambiance had style and elegance. The noise level was manageable, considering it’s a popular restaurant.
The steak was very good, but not quite outstanding. Both were ordered medium rare, but the ribeye was slightly over cooked. The sides were delicious and the wild mushrooms were worth a return trip on their own!
Great food and ambiance
This is still one of our favorite go-to steak places in the city— probably the favorite of the two of us. I am not a meat eater, but my husband is. It is not often that I visit a steakhouse that I am as excited about as my carnivorous husband is. American Cut is just such a place. They are also fantastic about children in spite of the upscale atmosphere. We all had a fantastic dinner. Leave room for the outstanding sides.
Service was amazing. Staff friendly and attentive.
Food was very good. Chili lobster was soooo amazing.
Drinks were also very good! Will go back for sure!!
Worst service ever. Wouldn’t go back
Great food one of the best steaks I’ve had in a while. My girlfriend had the hangar and i had the filet. The spinach was also really good as a side dish.
American Cut felt like the ultimate steakation for two weary parents who were able to escape into the city for a date night. We loved everything about our experience and meal. The Art Deco ambience is beautiful and sexy. The service was friendly, unpretentious, and attentive. The food was without fault. Absolutely delicious and indulgent. We shared the porterhouse and it was totally worth it. The table-side flambé sauce preparation was a fun bonus and the sauce itself was divine. American Cut has moved to the top of our list of favorite NYC steakhouses. We can’t wait to come back!
A perfectly delicious meal great service fine noise level
A really great restaurant all around. We went as a special night out because we need to eat gluten free and they have GF fries (oil is not contaminated with wheat!) the servers were very knowledgeable and attentive to this allergy and we fully enjoyed the entire evening.
Was great. Waiter recommended some options for our 8 person group and it worked really well
It was a very nice experience, great decor. Amazing steaks and food. 100% recommended, great restaurant.
The food was good but the side dishes weren’t a good value. Sides were overpriced. Don’t waste the money on the dude dishes.
The steak wasn't seasoned enough. The seafood in the seafood tower wasn't as fresh as ideal.
With a reservation they made us wait at the bar and then after 20 mins sat us at a table that had been open the whole time and wasn’t even in the main dining room. We had no waiter and the hostess ended up taking our orders. I asked for the steak to be rare and it was at least medium. It wasn’t “bad” but it wasn’t good... for $160 / head with one glass of wine, I will not be going back
The service was outstanding, David really made us feel special. The steak was cooked to perfection and Chef Dan’s potatoes were excellent!
