American Cut Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I thoroughly enjoy the experience at American Cut. The staff, the food, the service and the management are first class. Paige, the general manager, is charming and professional. Gabriel, the bartender, is wonderful and my date thought he was extremely handsome. The food is excellent. Hats off and well done!
After a bumpy start (forgotten about and left at the bar for 30 mins) the team really pulled out all stops to impress. Friendly attentive service and delicious food, so much that we couldn’t get close to finishing. Hands down the best shrimp cocktail I’ve had, enough horseradish to start a fire! Steak cooked to perfection and expertly carved and flambéed tableside. Desserts the final nail in the coffin. Don’t hesitate, just book it
This was one of the best meals I have had in a while. The only thing that surpassed the service was the food! If you get there and they have the pork belly app - try it, the glazed carrot and cauliflower sides were exquisite, the steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. And the cracker Jack sundae was to die for. It was expensive but totally worth it!
This is the ultimate dining experience especially with Jarod as our waiter. He was not only very professional but very attentive to our needs. His recommendations were right on target. Everything was delicious. It made for a wonderful 65 th birthday dinner!! The sommelier made an excellent pick of wine at a reasonable price!! All in all it was s very pleasurable experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
I wanted to love American Cut as I have heard good things about it. Well first I will say, I enjoyed my sides and the bread however the steak left a lot to be desired. The waiter who served us was fantastic but given the lacking steak, I wouldn’t return there again for that.
Restaurant week menu was AMAZING! Large portions of food for a great price. Waited about 20-25minutes to be seated with a reservation, but host was nice enough to offer drinks on the house for the wait. The service while seated was great! Made sure drinks were filled without asking and made the experience that much better. Steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Overall had an amazing experience and can’t wait to go back.
I went with some family for Restaurant Week. The pork belly appetizer was delicious, though the sauce was a bit overpowering for those of us who had it. One of my cousins had the lobster bisque and really enjoyed it. The steaks were prepared correctly and were tasty. I would not say that this was the best steak we've ever had, and the portion size was just okay. I found no fault with either of the sides (collards, potatoes) in taste or portion. The desserts were tasty but again underwhelming with portion size.
My party hated the table we were given, a guest in our party had a dairy allergy. We requested non dairy items for her and needed a non dairy steak sauce which we were told would be brought out. They brought au poivre steak sauce...which contained dairy! My steak came out cooked to the incorrect temperature. The manager decided to bring us a complementary dessert which they charged us for on our bill! A dessert that no one even wanted. We just ate a whole meal...where are we putting an extra dessert? Just an overall mediocre experience. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants.
I had left a note in the online reservation that it was a special occasion (birthday), and confirmed it 3 times leading up to our reservation, but there was no acknowledgement of that. Was excited for a nice birthday dinner, but ended up with a pretty average dinner. Server was friendly, food was decent, ambiance was great, but overall not too satisfied with the experience - nothing really set it apart from other steakhouses I've been to.
Our service was poor. The waiter was nice enough but bringing additional bread took 1/2 hr, bringing the right side dish took until the meal was completed, an order for wine or coffee was never taken. Also, there were so many servers coming over to the table, that we never knew who was really in charge.
The filet mignon was good as were the rolls. The skate was mediocre at best and I would not recommend the thai basel sorbet, I couldn't eat it.
Overall this is an overpriced restaurant that at best has mediocre food and service.
Went for a nice dinner on girls Friday night out. We were seated downstairs where it was quiet and dim. We had a great server, great wine and our filets were cooked perfectly and were delicious. You’ll love the everything almost scone like bread and herbed butter cream cheese spread. It was so good! I enjoyed my dessert but we weren’t sure what kind of sorbet my friend was given. It was all white and did not taste very good, no particular flavor at all but we laughed it off because it reminded us of a palate cleanser. Overall a great dining experience but wish the hostesses at the front door would’ve been a little more pleasant. I’ll be returning with my husband.
From the moment we walked in the staff treated us superbly. Made us fee cozy and ready to enjoy a nice evening. American Cut accommodated us in such a special way. Best service in the City, Food was amazing. Rivaling Luger’s 100%. We had an amazing room and for my dear friends who do not see each other often American Cut made it such a memorable experience. The waiter was truly rehearsed on his wine knowledge and made a wonderful dinner recommendation. I highly recommend American Cut
Nice place for special events and romantic dinner. We had party for 7 people. Stake and fish were delicious. Do not order coffee. Our cappuccino as well as espresso for dessert was cold, we re-ordered it twice and got the same result - TOO cold to be a hot drink.
Cocktails in a bar were very balanced and unique. We have been informed about the happy hour when arrived, but paid $45 for two drinks - good idea to check the list of cocktails for happy hour.
