Request Daniel H. He’s awesome.
Everything was amazing!
Overall very good experience.
Our waiter smelled like a cigarette. My steak was generally good but could have used more seasoning-- I had to ask for salt. The roasted mushrooms were outstanding. My wife asked to have half of her crab cake and foie gras boxed up along with her side of cauliflower. When she got home, they had only boxed up her cauliflower. To the restaurant's credit, they prepared another order of crab cake and foie gras that I had to pick up (fortunately, we live about a mile from the restaurant). No alcohol free beer. The roasted brussel sprouts were very good as well as the scallops.
Compared to other Buckhead steakhouses (Bones, Chops, Hal's on Old Ivy, NY Prime and Little Alley), American Cut seemed a bit expensive.
Love this place! The only thing was my steak was ordered medium rate and it was way tooo rare and had to be recooked which made it dry 🙁
there is no relationship between the prices charged for food and the quality that you should expect for such a restaurant, even the steaks were horribles, it is just an expensive restaurant with a fancy location
Although on the pricey side, the food and service was great! We shared two entree steaks with another couple, and got mushrooms and twice baked potato to share. The rolls were to die for! We will be back again.
It seemed like nobody wanted to be there. We had 9 people and had to beg to refill our wine glasses. I believe we bought 4 bottles but probably should have had 6.
The day aged steak was rancid. It actually smelled like wet dogs. Half of our party completely lost their appetite.
One of the best steaks that I have ever had in a restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful service and great food. Thanksgiving could not have been better.
Good food, good service but pricey...nice for celaebrations...seafood tower was great, filet was good, specialty beef was ok.
I’m always at American Cut but usually hangout and eat in the bar but this time since meeting friends for dinner I booked a reservation for the main restaurant.
The space is gorgeous and has a very sexy vibe to it.
The staff as usual was great and really went above and beyond.
The food is consistently good.
An amazing experience I’d highly recommend American Cut to anyone looking for a great night out on the town in a modern space with old school service.
I challenge the food quality to pricing, it’s a bit sub-par on taste and presentation for the cost. Also it’s a bit too dark-maybe bring up lighting a bit to soft white but it’s a beautiful restaurant
Stake was not cooked right had to get a new one.
Great restaurant and food! My only complaint is you don't get a lot of food but it's delicious.
Not one steak was the right temp
Service very good. Food tasty but a little pricey. Find charging to bring your own birthday cake in short of good customer service, when birthdays usually have specialty cakes.
The food was good, but for the price, I expected better. Ahi tuna was the best thing we ordered. It was very good.
Visiting family in Atlanta, had been years since I was there and someone recommended American Cut restaurant for a Friday night out. Very nice layout over several floors, 1st floor we noted a nice bar area and there might’ve been some dining seating, 2nd floor was a very nicely decorated restaurant area, lively but not oppressively noisy. Rooftop was where there was a very lively and popular bar with a great view of the area, and live music. Service was fantastic, bartender was very friendly and attentive without being overbearing, drinks were great. The wait staff was really great, knew the menu, made great recommendations, and also the perfect balance of attentiveness while not constantly pestering us. The manager and Maitre ‘d were both extremely pleasant, chatted us up a bit at the bar but not in a fake or annoying way, stopped by the table a couple of times first to also ask our preferences and offer some suggestions (which all were perfectly spot on) and again to check and were genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our meal. I travel the world on business and have eaten at top restaurants in many major US, European, and Asian cities and have to say our experience here ranks up with the best. Highly recommended, will most definitely be back whenever I’m in Atlanta.
Overall my experience was just about perfect. Food and service were excellent and loved the rooftop bar for before dinner cocktails. My only big negative was I brought a very expensive bottle of wine that needed to be opened and decanted. The waiter took the bottle somewhere in the back and opened it and decanted and then just brought out the decanter with the wine already decanted. This should always be done in front of the customer with the bottle being left on the table. When I brought this up to the waiter he stated it was too dark at the table for him to open it up.
The ambiance was nice. The food was carted out to us, and a nice show to finish off the steak table side, however, the steak was rare in the very center and not very flavorful. The presentation was AMAZING, but it did not meet the same expectations in flavor.
Amazing service and great menu. Food was best in Georgia.
Steak wasn’t as good as I was expecting considering the price. Still a good experience. Nice, chill vibes
1st visit for my birthday and it was amazing. We were immediately greeted at the door and promptly seated. The guitarist in the downstairs bar area added a nice vibe too. I will be back soon!
Waiter was very very rude. Food ok, drinks awful. Spent too much money be be asked by the rude waiter did I want my ten cents back, really, when I actually gave him a fifteen percent tip. # LEARN HOW TO COUNT AND BE NICE.
Great food and excellent service. Mark up on wine is about 3.5x so might would skip their menu there unless date/party necessitates. When 3 bottles on menu would buy a case...
The food and service was superb. Our out of town guests really enjoyed their meal, cocktails and the wine selection suggested by the sommelier who so graciously came to our table at our request.
Had the TOMAHAWK CHOP (tableside flambé) and the Grilled Asparagus and Twice Baked Potatoes as sides. Great flavors and presentation. One of the best steak dinners in Atlanta.
We came to American Cut after a fashion show we were invited to at The Shops. We decided to have dinner here after coming to the restaurant for the after party on the rooftop, but quickly realized we were going to need more than just the appetizers being served. I made a last minute reservation and the hostess was very accommodating and seated us promptly. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. My husband and I both ordered entrees since we wanted to get back to the after party with our friends. He had the halibut and I ordered the branzino with the lemon butter sauce on the side. My entree came out with the butter sauce on the fish and my husbands food bland and just ok. By the time a manager came by we were well into our meals and he just apologized but did not offer to get me a new meal. I found that to be very surprising as typically managers are usually very receptive to complaints. However our waiter made up for it as he was willing to do what was necessary to fix it. By the time he knew what was happening we were almost finished eating; he offered to have the kitchen fix it but I declined. He did offer us dessert on the house which was good. I appreciate his willingness to make us happy. I’m just not sure if that would have happened if we had another waiter since the manager wasn’t as helpful as I would expect in a restaurant of this caliber and that’s unsettling.
Went with my sisters and we had excellent service in the restaurant. Steak house should have great steak but the filet mignon was gummy and flavorless. Mashed sweet potatoes were just ok. Branzino was good. Mushrooms were the best thing we ordered.
This was my fourth time visiting American Cut and my wife second. I booked us a reservation there for our 20th wedding anniversary. Although my food was fine my wife sent her food back b/c the crab meat on top of her steak tasted spoiled which ruined our evening. Management and our waitress was very apologetic but the damage was already done
An amazing experience that I won't forget. The food and the service were off the charts.
Wonderful service and ambience!
Fantastic restaurant and Bar. Food, drinks and service top notch. This is our steak restaurant of course each month
Our server JOSH is world class; the ambiance reminds me of either Manhattan or Los Angeles; the roof top Regency Club is a unique spot and a great way to end the evening, and of course the food is very good. Can't wait for our next visit!
As a restaurant owner I must say that MIT (gm) is the heart and soul of this fabulous restaurant. Thanks once again MIT, Chris
This was our first time dining at American Cut. Everything was absolutely perfect. Steak was prepared perfectly along with the sides. Natalie, our server, is hands down the best server we’ve ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and so kind. It was an amazing evening and will for sure be back!
The food was outstanding! The chili lobster appetizer was incredible, and there was a special of shrimp mac and cheese that was great too. The server came to check on us multiple times and our water was always filled.
Very great, wonderful mood, friendly and informative staff. My only complaint was the lack of choices for beer. Very few donestoc
