Great place to take your woman if you looking for her to enjoy some great quality food
The food was not good at all.
We normally eat at Houston’s and Chops.
This is our first and last time here.
Unfortunately, this time around our experience at American Cut was a major disappointment. We had a reservation at 9pm and waited in the bar till 9:20pm only to be seated in the bar-we were expecting to experience the dinning room. American Cut should have been considerate by to informed guest with reservations, in advance, that there was no dining room service due to a private event or at the very least inform us when we checked in. The experience in the bar is night and day from the dining room. (No white cloth table service).
Food: Very limited menu and they don’t do those delicious biscuits anymore. (at least not in the bar)
Drinks: Spicy little number was a perfect choice.
American Cut is phenomenal. They have recently reopened post-pandemic and they are as good as ever! They currently have a somewhat reduced menu, but the steaks are top notch, best in Atlanta. We come here for every celebratory dinner. The new chef has some neat additions, the corn side is awesome and the fries are *chefs kiss*. Don't like fatty meat? No big deal, the ribeye is tender and marbling is buttery. Will continue to come back. I hear their drinks are awesome but that's no surprise since the rooftop bar is awesome. The manager Alex goes out of his way to make sure you have a pleasant experience. If they have it, be sure to try the pastrami rubbed ribeye, it’s like no steak you have had before!
Pro tip- parking in the lot is free and they offer validation (should cover a glass of champagne or Prosecco)
For a first time visit, American Cut was an excellent choice. The food was delicious; we had the rib eye and the strip with beans and cream corn as sides. The steaks were cooked perfectly. The service was as expected from a place like this. Definitely would recommend and will come back.. I just wished the rooftop was open (closed for private event).
Our server Mr Brown was delightful!
The service was exceptional. Our waiter checked on us often, made great recommendations, great energy. The host was nice. The bar tender checked on us and so did the manager. Very clean. The food was delicious, especially the cream corn. Definitely recommend for intimate date night
Very disappointing that they are closed on Monday, but still take reservations. Wasted our time and gas to find the doors locked.
Had to wait standing up for an hour and a half before we were seated. Took thirty minutes before anyone came to our table. The service was horrible and the food was marginal. The staff from management down could care less about the customers. This was a great place to dine prior to COVID but now I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worse enemies. Be warned, stay away.
Service was slow. Although I made a reservation for 8pm, once I arrived I was told it’d be 20 minutes before they could seat me. I wasn’t seated until 930pm.
Not the same experience I have been accustomed too here. Menu was trash. Drinks were trash. Service terrible.
And I have been at this place more than 10x. My average check spend is at least 250.00
Salad and appetizer were good. Ribeye was too gamy for me. Service and ambience were great.
I had a confirmed reservation and I showed up with a colleague to a closed restaurant. We had to walk and convince Capitol Grill to accommodate us. This was quite embarrassing.
The food and drinks were excellent!! Huge portions and great taste. It was a bit loud but great ambience overall. We also went upstairs to The Regent which also had great drinks. Will definitely return.
If the food were better it would definitely have received 5 stars. Everything else is great!
We ate here a year or so ago and loved it. We're from SC so every time we're in ATL we call to see if it's back open. Our excitement that it finally was open after pandemic was short lived. From downsized menu to poor quality of food. Waitress was very nice however so it made this review less dull. We spent over 500 with 2 guests our first visit. Barely spent 250 with 2 guest last night so the disappointment is evident.
Incredible staff, amazing food, I couldn’t say enough about this place!!!
It was my birthday and Will was our server. He was more than accommodating and he was super sweet! Probably the best server I’ve ever had. Me and my friends had an amazing time!
Wife’s birthday dinner. We went expecting to get the tamale side steak, but it wasn’t on the menu yet since they just reopened. They still made it a special evening for us going beyond expectations despite not having the table side stall
Great food and service, I would highly recommend the ribeye
The food was very good, but nothing special for a steakhouse. I very much wanted to have a good time and tried my best to defend our anniversary dinner to my husband while dining, but the cost just doesn’t line up with the food for me. The steak was more tender than the quality of steak that I can likely source easily, but if I wanted to spend an evening having just a good Caesar salad, crab cake, green beans, and baked potato with steak, I could do so at Longhorn or Outback without spending $200.
The ambiance was nice, but not particularly well suited to a date with the large tables. Our server was also the bartender and she was as attentive as I would expect a bartender working the dining room to be.
It was fine. If work wanted me to dine there and was buying, I would go. It seems suited for a business dinner. Not worth it if it’s a date.
Great food and the atmosphere is excellent. Be sure to stop by and see Kyle at the bar. He really made the experience wonderful. WIll definitely be back.
Steak sub par and not seasoned
Poor bar selections
Weird limited menu, did not like
The host was rude, the restaurant was very small, the menu selection was literally two pages that's including drinks, appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. The place was very quiet and soothing, but it wasn't a place for me.
Manager on call was very very professional & nice I would definitely go back food was amazing for a soft opening not much on menu but what we had was great !
Wow. We were blown away with the service and the food quality. It was a fantastic experience! The manager went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. He personally took us on a tour of the restaurant and escorted us to the rooftop lounge where he introduced us to the bartender. We will be back!
I was excited to see that the dining room was open again. The steak however was a huge disappointment. It was very tough and when it was brought to the table he asked that we cut the steak down the middle to check the temp. I’m sorry but if you are paying 50$+ for a steak they should be confident that it’s cooked as requested. The table next to us sent their steak back and so did we. Even when the steak was brought back it was still horrible. Still paid for it, and was not happy about it and it was a dinner for my birthday. The service was great but the food was poor. I will only come back to visit the rooftop bar.
Fried green tomatoes were amazing! I ordered the vegetable risotto and it was OK. Ambiance was great and cute intimate bar upstairs. View wasn’t was I was expecting.
Waitress was inattentive. Forgot one of 2 salads. Had to request pepper for table prepared salad. Food was fair steak chewy and poorly seasoned and well done not medium. Five star prices with Waffle House service. Never to go there again
The new American cut is a shadow of its former self after reopening in 2021. With a much smaller menu, lower quality food, and pretty average to poor service, this place feels like a real casualty of the pandemic. And the fact dining guests are unable to be guaranteed space to attend the roof top bar, they’ve lost the plot and don’t deserve to take up such a prime location in Buckhead village. It’s a big no for me.
We didn't realize the restaurant hadn't been open for the past several months so we were surprised when we arrived that the only dinner seating was on the first floor bar area. A little disappointed about that but overall, the staff was incredibly accommodating and pleasant, and the food was really very good.
Wonderful place to eat be sure to check out American Cut and the Cocktails Club!
I loved the food and the service, but I am all about the details, and the music didn't set the right vibe. I find that 80's music has no place in an art-deco setting. Classics fit the mood here, and that makes a big difference to me as far as the overall experience. A clear mismatch of decor and the ambient music.
I enjoyed the food and staff was great welcoming and serving.
Thank you for an amazing birthday dinner !!!
Food is great
Great place, great food
Great service, delicious food and a very drastic/fabulous environment.
I would eat here for dinner every night.
Thanks for making our bday dinner outstanding.
