Great experience. Food was great. Pricy, but worth it.
Great service. Excellent food. Loved the outdoor seating setup. Highly recommend salmon and tagliatelle w shrimp. Fantastic.
Good, high end casual dining. Oysters weren’t the best.
Nice restaurant, good service. Reduced menu
We arrived on time for our reservation but were asked to wait outside because they were not ready to receive us. The fried chicken sandwich, which we’ve had before, was awful this time - the chicken was hard and rubbery. Gave this place a try a few times now and each time there was always an issue with service and/or food. Unfortunately what had potential to be a great neighborhood restaurant that we could frequent is now off our list.
The food, drinks and desserts were all amazing and the service was excellent!
Last minute reservation for Thanksgiving turned out to be the perfect choice. It was a warm, pleasant early evening at the outdoor dining area and everything from the initial greeting to the dessert was great.
I enjoyed dining here - we had a nice birthday dinner and the waitress were patient and professional. The food is always great and refined. We ordered the Long Island duck and the Halibut - Halibut can he a bit more flavorful but the duck is amazing. The only advice I have is the noise level could be a bit lower (with the music maybe quieter). Overall it’s a wonderful place for any special occasion
It has been my favorite place since the Re-opening in summer. The oysters and the shrimp cocktail is always spot on. cocktails are great too! They also have a sister restaurant Maiella that has fantastic squid ink pasta! Spent our anniversary there:) The owner/Chef definitely has an excellent selection of food menus and a lovely aesthetic of the restaurant decor.
Service was poor - I ordered steak and didn’t get a steak knife and no one came by to check on us so my husband got up to ask for a knife and was told to go find our server because the person he asked was not our server. Steak was ok, chicken sandwich was pretty good - waffles were good but got too soggy very quickly because of the compote
We looked for a special outdoor place in Long Island City to celebrate a special occasion, and found American Brass through Open Table. The outdoor setting along Center Blvd, looking directly at the East River and Manhattan, was beautiful, especially with very light traffic. Service was attentive and helpful. The towering seafood appetizer was the highlight of the meal - plenty of oysters, clams, lobster, shrimp and octopus for three. We all had steaks, a double portion of NY Strip and a Wagyu steak frites. The former was notably tastier. My one complaint was the wine list, or lack thereof. It was a very pricy meal, and they should have a better, wider wine selection. I chose a $200 Caymus (because there were so few red wine choices), and found it disappointingly sweet. With a better wine list, I would give 5 stars for the food. Great for a special occasion, but perhaps too expensive for more frequent dining. We will definitely return.
Fantastic service. Heaters by all the tables was great and nicely enclosed tent to sit under with clean air still traveling through for safe and enjoyable outdoor dining experience. Great staff and delicious food.
Wait staff was understaffed so had to wait quite some time for service and food but, otherwise they were great.
Amazing food and amazing service. Even though we went to several times at Maiella,Which is the sister restaurant to American brass, I have to admit that the food is way better then Maiella.Great service, small wine list but the few wines they have were great. We love Caymus And I was pleasantly surprised to find it in their menu. The oysters were fresh, and the Garganelli pasta was cooked Al dente to perfection, and you could feel that is homemade pasta and not the dry pasta from the store.
Overall it’s a neighborhood gem,And we will definitely be back.
All of the food was beautifully prepared and delicious, the service was excellent and we had all four desserts and each one was amazing!!
Everything was wonderful at this restaurant the service exceptional and the food was outstanding can’t wait to go back again
Always a great choice. The menu is innovative, tasty and well presented. The bar serves up superlative cocktails.
Fantastic food, wonderful service and ambiance. Would highly recommend for a brunch with friends.
Very decent food and good distancing outdoor dining at this new restaurant. I was here a couple weekends ago for outdoor brunch and came back tonight to try their dinner menu.
Temperature check on patrons upon arrival. The four of us opted for outdoor, but we saw the indoor set up with partition between tables as well.
Our server Jonathan is friendly and informative. We enjoyed some nice cocktails along with the west coast Kumamoto oysters before dinner. For starter we had the grilled baby octopus and sourdough focaccia with whipped ricotta. We ordered the halibut and wagyu flank steak for main course and a couple side dishes (grilled broccolini and roasted cauliflower). Everything was delicious and we enjoyed our meal in their comfortable atmosphere.
American Brass definitely is a great addition to the neighborhood!
Great quality food. This is going to be an LIC favorite!
Food was good, but tough being one of the pricier options in the neighborhood. It would be a better review if our service was consistent (we were either getting WAY too much attention or not enough, it needs to land in the middle) and if the cocktails were not so weak. At these prices, I should have a stronger beverage. Stick with wine or beer so you get what you're paying for. Those two things took away from the experience when we would otherwise be pleased with the food, even knowing it's a higher price point than other restaurants in the area.
Food is delicious but portions are very small for the price
As always serviced was excellent, food was delicious, an overall great time.
Excellent dining experience. Delicious food and chic ambiance. I love this place and will be back!
Delicious food, but very overpriced for the tiny portions provided. . Fair service; we were rushed, though only half the tables were actually occupied.. Pleasant location overlooking the East River. A welcomed addition to the neighborhood!
Great menu and food led by new chef, Kevin McGinley
We had a great meal - excellent service and delicious food.
Soooo good!
Food was amazing
Delicious Bistro food. The Raw Bar selections are top notch.
First time at this restaurant for our wedding anniversary: we will be back! Excellent service, very fine food and great wine. The outdoor setting is lovely and all safety measures are carefully met. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco for our anniversary which was a very nice touch. We will be back to try the Brunch!
Excellent quality we were pleasantly surprised!
The food was not fresh or blend at its best. Not worth it $200 for two adults and one child spend on a dinner.
I like the vibe of the place but the food is not amazing and I think it’s a little overpriced. They used to have more options in the menu.
Great pasta along with oysters
Finally a great American brunch spot in LIC. Will become a neighborhood staple.
Great new addition to the neighborhood! We’ll be back
