The food was great. I loved the quail, the chocolate mouse and the corn soup, my husband enjoyed the duck. The service was very attentive.

Our dinner at American Bounty was mixed because while the food was outstanding, our server, a student who was a paid server whose wages went toward his fees, was not on his A game. Despite being experienced, He had to be asked several times to bring our drinks, slow to respond to reasonable requests, bought the out the steak dish being very rare when medium was requested, never brought me a soup spoon, made a mistake on the bill (included lamb dish when none was ordered), etc, etc. However, the food and the presentation were nothing short of superb! So, take the plunge and book a reservation and enjoy yourself! Please note that your bill includes a mandatory 20% Service fee.

The ambiance at CIA and specifically at American Bounty was perfect. The high-ceilinged room, and well spaced- out tables provided a sense of graciousness and distinction. Our Saudi witness and Georgian sommelier were attentive and offered insights into their studies and career plans. The food absolutely excellent, attractively presented. A good wine list. All in all a perfect evening.

Rolls were too salty, soup was very salty- sent it back. Raw oysters were excellent. Steelhead trout was excellent! Tortellini were good. Dessert was a little disappointing.

At the American Grill there is a nice selection of different types of foods. I would suggest that one checks out the menus on line before they go. The restaurant is part of the old original building with much of the original wood work in place. Service from the students is always great. I do have one issue, the dress of the customers. There are no standards set any more. There were two men in there twenties in tee shirts and one was weary a baseball cap. This to a restaurant that is fine dinning! Their was also a family there with everyone dressed for the beach. Others then that I have been going there a number of years and the extra has always been an excellent one.

I went for my Birthday. The front manger brought into to the kitchen and showed me around. Gave my gf and I little treat that was out of this world! It’s great to see young talented young people inspiring to be a chef! While I set there I visioned Anthony Bourdain being in the kitchen.
