We have been to France. This food was absolutely delicious, better than what we have had in France! Tried the Pinot Noir from their 'excellent' menu. It fit the description. Service was superb. This place is a hidden gem in Fairfax. We will be back for sure.

This restaurant makes my mouth water. The food is creative and fresh, so well prepared and presented. An amazing wine selection, although I’m not a connoisseur by any means. It’s also small, relaxed and inviting. The hosts/servers set the tone for that. Amélie is charming, the food is always a joy, fantastic, the diners are always smiling and enjoying it all. As locals, we will be going regularly, thank you!

Don't be put off by the plebian setting; it looks like a cheesy sidewalk café on the edge of St. Denis or some other typical city neighborhood. Not fancy. But the food is authentic, and excellent; and the prices, while not low, are reasonable for San Anselmo et al. Good list of affordable wines, too.

A small cafe with a sidewalk eating space outdoors and a few tables inside. I had an ahi tuna salad Nicoise , which was tasty, though drowned in dressing. My companion had a burger with fries, which was much more appealing. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium, as requested. The service was spotty, although I saw only one person on duty in addition to the cook behind the counter. We had to ask for iced tea several times and didn’t get more than one glass of water. But for a small spot, it had a charm that would make me want to return, perhaps for a coffee and pastry.

Our casual birthday party celebration was lots of fun at Amelie. The staff was nice and the food was excellent. We will definetly go back.

As always, the food was terrific! I was skeptical of the combination of ingredients for their Easter Sunday Salmon Bowl option, but was so blown away by the depth of flavor. YUM!
