Amelia's - Tulsa
We sat for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and were then rushed to place our food order (all courses at once) at the same time as our drink order. Steak was overcooked on the ends and undercooked in the middle. Meatloaf was very dry with a very sweet, thick ketchup like sauce on top. Server took another 15 minutes to return our card after we handed it to her to pay. My husband ended up feeling sick after our meal. Overall very disappointing way to spend our second anniversary.
Amelia’s was excellent as always but I am VERY disappointed with the reservation system (OpenTable) as our reservation time was somehow switched from 6 to 8. This caused us to have to sit at the bar instead of a table. I have an email confirmation stating that we reserved a table for 6 PM but when we arrived we learned that the reservation had somehow been changed. 1 star for opentable, very frustrating.
Went for Restaurant week. I had salmon mousse appetizer, fried chicken main course and banana pudding dessert. My wife had kale salad, shrimp with falafel balls and banana pudding.
Everything was excellent.
Food was delicious and the restaurant is gorgeous!
It’s was a very nice birthday celebration
Kale salad perfect. Wood-fired pizza with caramelized onions, parmigiano and house-cured bacon incredible. I live in the NYC metro area, and don’t anticipate returning to Tulsa anytime soon, but Amelia’s is a reason to come back.
This place is fantastic- the food is fabulous the atmosphere is better😊
I've been trying to get into Amelia's for quite a while now. So I was excited that I finally planned ahead and booked a table for a special occasion (combined birthday celebration for both me & my wife). The overall experience - though good - left us wanting a little more. There was quite a bit of a wait for our table despite the Open Table reservation. Somewhat understandable since seating is pretty limited and the previous party maybe took a little longer than expected. However, there wasn't any apology for the awkward wait in the congested check-in area nor any acknowledgment of our special occasion which I had indicated in the reservation. No matter, we got a decent table by the window with a great outside view. OneOK field was shooting off fireworks so we had probably the best view in the restaurant. Good start ... the cocktails were spot on. I ended up taking the easy way out with the 3-course restaurant week menu while the rest of the family ordered various items from their regular menu. The servers were gracious & polite. However, they seemed a little confused about a few items - mixed up my gazpacho with my wife's and somehow turned my creme brulee into a chocolate cake until I re-emphasized what I had ordered. The food was good & made from fresh, local ingredients just as advertised. However, we all thought that the flavors were a little lacking. It was a very busy night being the first day of restaurant week and the First Friday Art Walk at the same time. Perhaps that added to their confusion and workload. But, for this price point, I would expect a little more. I've had fantastic meals and service in some similarly priced restaurants in Tulsa lately. So Amelia's has a little catching up to do to earn my repeat business - although judging by the traffic they get, they might not need it! Overall a good experience albeit not a "great" one.
We always love Amelia’s. So when we were meeting new (to Tulsa) friends for dinner we of course had to introduce them to your great restaurant!
The food and service are always amazing!
The food was excellent and Nate provided outstanding service!
Beautiful restaurant with a fun atmosphere. Menu is nice and varied, but several items are crazy expensive, and working around those reduces selection to a narrow assortment that was limiting for those who did not want to order fish. Most items were well prepared, but Surf and turf satay was really teriyaki and the beef was nearly raw. Salmon and rainbow trout were fine but unexceptional.
This was our second time eating at Amelia’s , it did not disappoint. Our daughter got the Italian pizza and it was fabulous. Food was excellent
We sat at a bar top by the pizza station and had a great time. This is where all the action is and I would highly recommend it!
Love any chance we get to go to Amelia’s !!
Food and service was excellent. We sat at the bar and watched the cooks prepare the food. Amazing!
Everything was wonderful. Thank you!
Great meal with great service, again!
Food was fantastic, service was even better. Great wine and cocktail list as well
Tasty food, limited menu, somewhat expensive for rather modest-size servings, close seating to other guests means not-so-private dining
Great place to be!
The food and service were excellent! My colleague and I met the owner, Amelia (named after Amelia Earhart) as she made her way around checking in with customers, and had a lovely conversation. This is a restaurant you don’t want to miss.
The tomahawk steak was incredible!
The presentation was enticing and the chop was delish.
Excellent, interesting food; Good service.
My sister-in-law ate at Amelia's for a girls lunch this week. I've eaten dinner here but it was her first time to eat there. It was a rainy day, and the restaurant was not very busy. The atmosphere is very nice, although the tables are pretty close together. We were seated next to a table of three diners, and I could hear all of their conversations. It was also very cold in the restaurant.
Our server was wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. We both ordered from the lunch special menu allowing choice of a starter and entree, or entree and dessert. She ordered crawfish bisque and the fish taco, and I ordered the crawfish bisque and shrimp poboy. The bisque was great, with just a little spice. The shrimp poboy was a little disappointing. The sweet potato bun was good, but it is a lot of bun. I was expecting a lot more flavor from the shrimp. There was very little spice and I would have liked them grilled a little longer to give more crispness or contrast. It also would have been nice for there to be more tartar sauce. I did not taste the fish taco, but it was described as "ok".
Overall it was a disappointing experience because I expected so much more from the food. Also because I chose the restaurant as a treat for my sister-in-law. My previous dinner at Amelia's was good, so I will probably give it one more try.
Great experience eating at the Chef's counter. The food was amazing and awesome service!
Overall best restaurant in Tulsa! We tend to eat there about once or twice per week or two.
Best restaurant in Tulsa! The food was amazing and the staff was the most professional friendly and skilled in town.
Went for the birthday of my daughter. I’ve been several times and love the food and the ambiance, but frankly was disappointed with the service. Our waiter wasn’t very accessible, drinks were usually empty and needed refilling, and just didn’t feel like we received the quality of service commensurate with the prices we were paying.
The best part of the evening's dining experience was the delightful, accommodating service staff. They went over and beyond to make sure we enjoyed everything. We were celebrating an special anniversary event and WOW they delivered quite a fun, exciting time for us. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco! Each course that followed was excellent. My husband fell in love with dessert! Such a sweet evening!! Thank you Amelia's; we will be back (with friends and family)!!
Amelia’s is such a treat! Our server recommended a wonderful wine, and was very attentive and nice. Corn fritters and beet salad are amazing!! We will be back!
It was very nice...
The ambiance outside, the waitress, the hostess were all wonderful and the the food came out. It was delicious! The hummus appetizer with the Naan bread is to die for. The bread alone is amazing. The warm beet salad will keep me coming back!
Quaint, little restaurant. Great food, great service. A delightful experience.
Excellent restaurant in a great area of Tulsa. Highly recommend.
Great Lunch Place
Liz is a rock star server
Food is consistently awesome and interesting.
Wine selection is fantastic.
Amelia’s is a terrific addition to Tulsa dining: hip, bustling without being noisy (music added beat without being loud), inventive eclectic food, great service (everyone if friendly and helpful, and appear to be happy to be working there). Amelia and her husband are wonderful hosts.
Great meal, as usual. Very good service along with consistently great food. Amelia’s is currently our favorite restaurant in Tulsa.
