Very good neighborhood spot for italian byob. All the food we ordered were delicious. Particularly the saffron mussels and the grilled octopus with salsa verde. The outdoor booths were clean and nice. Our server Eli was a pleasure. Definitely recommend this place.
The starters and main course items were absolutely amazing. The staff are so attentive and helpful with great recommendations it’s a place I would highly recommend to anyone to try will definitely be going back.
Awesome Dinner start to finish!
Brussel Sprout appetizer/salad dish was amazing. Chicken Mil Dish was average. Ordered a side of pasta which was overcooked. Overall experience was good and would definitely return. Server was excellent.
We enjoyed a cozy brunch is a booth on a damp cloudy drizzly day. Food was delicious - pasta in particular. For dessert, we shared tiramisu and panna cotta. Usually I don't like panna cotta but this one was so good! Servers were prompt, courteous, and helpful. I will return and recommend it to others.
(You can request booth but it's not definite until you show up. There are also outdoor tables under an awning.)
Neighborhood gem. We’ve dined there a handful of times since opening a few years ago. Food justgets better andbetter!
First time definitely won't be the last!!!!
Everything was great. The food was so delicious😇😇
First time at this restaurant. What a wonderful surprise and new found treasure. Ambrosia is amazing for it's food and added bonus of being a byob. I will definitely go back soon.
Food was amazing and the servers were very attentive. Service was fast
They did a great job warming up indoor space with art and brick and soft fabric walls and ceiling panels.. These acoustic buffers were much needed and seemed to really help, although room had very few diners in it (most prefer outdoor "cabanas"). Both made the room much more aesthetically pleasing. Ambrosia continues to evolve and improve. Food is solid, but not five star quality.
Amazing food. Great service
My husband and I agree- the food was amazing as was the service. We had the opportunity to meet George, the owner, and it was a pleasure. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring friends along.
phenomenal, great service, fantastic food. every friend that I have brought to this restaurant has loved it, you really cant go wrong
Food was delicious! Service was very rushed, even though no other tables/parties being seated after us.
The food was delicious as always and the outdoor dining venue that they’ve created is so pleasant. I hope it continues even after Covid restrictions are lifted.
Amazing food and very good prices. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. A very very nice evening definitely will be returning
Where do I start octopus & calamari was amazing!
Homemade macaroni squid ink spaghettini with calamari & rigatoni with rabe and lamb sausage were amazing. Black bass delicious. Service was amazing!!
Great all around experience. The enclosed outside booths were fantastic
My favorite spot that I never regret revisiting again and again and again. Friendly people, phenomenal food, the best ambiance.
My daughter, who is a pastry chef in LA, came to visit after 2 years. I wanted to brunch in a place I had never been and was off the normal Center City beat and path. Ambrosia fit all the requirements. We had a spacious pod outside, service was prompt, selections were very appetizing, and pricing was reasonable. I will definitely make this place a habit!
My husband and I had a great experience at Ambrosia. Our food was delicious and our waiter took great care of us. We also showed up a little early reservation and we’re still seated right away. Even for a busy Friday night the staff was attentive and took great care of us. We’ll definitely be back!
I've got three words for you, fried gnocchi and our server Miguel. Always love this gem, can't wait to go back!
We came for lunch and did outdoor dining in a very well constructed pod. We both liked the squid pasta and the rest of the food was also excellent. Worth the trip down to the city.
We normally love the food here but the 2 specials we ordered were so rich (tons of butter I suspect) we literally couldn't eat them!
Wonderful food with outstanding pasta made on premises a highlight. Very competent service, but not rushed. Lovely outdoor space comprised of individual structures designed to seat 4 -6 guests, but much more comfortable with 4. Street noise was less of a problem than in many of the restaurants in the heart of center city and allows for much better conversation - a rare treat these days. The food is the draw here and there seemed to be plenty of repeat customers who obviously agree. Prices are fare for the quality of the food and the artful presentation and byob makes it a night to bring your special bottle of wine. One of the best Italian restaurants in the city.
Delicious food and friendly attentive service. I recommend making a reservation, even during the weekdays!
Everything about this place is done perfectly (well, except for one thing which I’ll get to!)...excellent and personable service that’s not intrusive, great menu, and interesting and different dishes from the usual Italian fare around town, and all well executed...except for the ravioli in brown sage butter! It just didn’t appeal to this diner to have the usual soft pillows of ravioli be fried/sautéed to an overdone brown and tough state. Wish they could offer both choices as I understand what they’re going for (like the crispy gnocchi, which is terrific, and much better than the usual gummy pillows that are ubiquitously served). The artichoke toast is fabulous (although the last time it was too briny-vinegary and I realized they’re jarred artichokes not fresh as I’d thought the first time I had them...sadly). And their outdoor accommodations should be used as the template for all the city dining chalets—they’re all glass/Plexiglas so you don’t feel enclosed but simply safe and much better for conversation, and comfort, without compromising the experience of dining outdoors. A true neighborhood gem!
The host was very rude. Our food was okay. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.
Food was excellent. Great set up outside.. private and Covid safe.
This has become our go to place. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional and never disappoints. The crispy gnocchi is a favorite.
Great first visit with wonderful food and cozy vibe. The crispy brussel sprouts were amazing as were the paparedelle and the pasta special with rock shrimp, crab, fava beans and fresh herbs. We will certainly be back and hope to try the pistachio pot de creme next time!!
Service was outstanding. Food was great - prepared fast and hot. BYOB was a nice addition. I will definitely return.
The most delicious food in the city!
Safe outdoor dining too!!!!
It was lovely with friendly and generous servers!
Awesome spot, awesome food
Hidden gem tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. Food is very tasty and fresh. Really enjoyed the outdoor dining ambience here on a 70-degree evening.
Good food, nicely set up outdoor spaces. Recommend for casual get togethers
Consistently delicious and reliably memorable
Highly recommend fried gnocchi was delicious. Outdoor seating was perfect
