Great food on a very rainy night!
Four of us for a business meeting were greeted as we entered and we were seated right away. Our waiter was excellent and attentive. Each of us had a different meal we all thought was top notch and excellent. We had two appetizers among us which were also excellent. I will be stopping by again very soon!
This was disappointing as our experience was not comparable to previous reviews. It has the potential to be a cozy neighborhood restaurant but the acoustics are terrible...it is very noisy making it difficult to have a conversation, particularly on date night. Our meals were very mediocre...the ravioli, which sounded awesome on the menu, was dry and unsatisfying. The grilled octopus was not fresh and had a strong 'fishy' aftertaste.
The food is excellent. The noise level is very loud, hard to have a conversation.
The food was good and fast service. It’s one of the smallest restaurants I’ve been. You will be getting bumped in to all night long.
Wonderful dining experience as always ! Fantastic service ! I had tortellini which is perfection as always !
Wonderful New restaurant. Excellent food and service
Food was great, I brought 2 friends from Sydney, Australia, who enjoyed it. A bit noisy, but we liked the quaint block and each of us loved out meal.
Great dinner, can’t wait to go back.
A true neighborhood gem! Ana Jung food and great service
Not our first time eating here and it won’t be our last. We love their pasta dishes, especially the tagliatelle and pappardelle.
Great that it’s BYOB. Also love the panna cotta for dessert. Yum!
Lovely for lunch; too noisy for dinner.
Great food great service just noisy will return
Great food with a limited menu with excellent choices
Beautifully restaurant and good food,
I’m going again
Foodie heaven. Every dish is prepared and presented meticulously. The staff is very attentive. If anything the service is too fast, perhaps because they are doing so much business that they need to turn the tables over. That's not really meant as a criticism. The food is not cheap, but since it is a BYOB, the bottom line on the bill seems like a bargain. My wife and I also noticed how diverse the customers were in every way, which is a very heathy sign.
This new place could have the best food in Philly. I have been there twice and the food was exceptional on both occasions.
This place is quietly Philadelphia's best new restaurant. The food and service are outstanding, plus it's BYOB which is always an added benefit. Highly recommend.
It was a wonderful meal and awesome ambience.
This is our 4th time and we continue to be very pleased
Food good, service good, loud. Neighborhood gem. Cost nice.
we love your food, staff, and everything about your restaurant, except for the noise level
Beautiful spot with very knowledgeable staff! We had the veal and the pappardelle and both were outstanding!
Ambrosia has become a neighborhood favorite for the folks living near Fitler Square. I love the new outdoor space with painted planters recently installed, to create more curb appeal. It's also quieter outside than inside, so take advantage of it while the weather is good! The frisee salad, salmon and monkfish entrees were excellent; one of the most tender monkfish dishes I have had. I think the grilled artichoke appetizer would be better without the toasts-more artichoke, less bread.
This was the first time my husband and our friends were there and we were very impressed. The food was fantastic and the service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great little place with nice outdoor seating. The food was better than expected and actually one of the best Italian meals I have had in a while. Definitely going to be back.
Very favorable the owner came over and talk to us and very kindly gave us the scallop appetizer on the house and it was totally delicious we had a darling family next to us and it was fun to see them and we would definitely go back
I have really good time.
I love to go again
Superb fresh and quality-sourced food in a small neighborhood corner restaurant. Party of 3 especially enjoyed the Calamari, the Airline chicken, the Monkfish, and Crispy Gnocchi.
Family birthday celebration!
Small gem that is also a byob. First time for this restaurant. Can’t wait to go back. Inside seating is a little loud but service and dood make up for it. Octopus was to die for.
We go here at least 1 x per month. Great local spot and very consistent quality. A neighborhood byob gem.
Great food and service. A bit noisy but it was a busy Friday night. Would recommend for sure.
Wow, maybe my new favorite byob in the city! The food was so fresh, presented beautifully, great service, and all around perfect. The mussels, burrata, and scallop crudo to start was amazing, and the pappadelle with short rib ragu was incredible. What a perfect dinner!!
Food was solid, but portions were small and a bit overpriced. Love the BYO option and the outdoor seating.
What a gem. This is a small neighborhood restaurant with delicious food and good service.
Lovely neighborhood BYO. Crispy gnocchi and gaspacho were outstanding. Homemade ravioli with brown butter was excellent but needed a bit of salt. Will definitely be back!
Food was nothing exceptional , the noise level was deafening inside and we felt that it was too warm to eat outside. The restaurant is unattractive and so though there was nothing horrible about it there are too many better choices for the same cost. No reason to return.
Service was good and the food was excellent! Will he back!
Go for the pasta and delicious cuisine. Atmosphere is nothing fancy and fairly bare-bones. Service was excellent. Proprietor should think twice about hosting Large parties. The space is not equipped for that. The group near us was so noisy & popped champagne that went everywhere we asked to be moved outside despite the heat and humidity. Restaurants need to invest in better acoustical design & remove a few tables. That’s the price they should pay to have an open kitchen, no tablecloth’s or anything else to absorb sound. Prices are high for the noise & ambiance. But the college students will take over this BYO ( like so many others) and the owner will still make a boatload of money.
