    Noisy if near bar. Uncomfortable seats Mediocre food except crab cakes and cheese cake which were fantastic. Expensive for what you get. Food should be great for the prices.

    Had a wonderful evening at AMBRA Beto our waiter, was very attentive. Made sure everything was ok. Food was fantastic. Full of flavor and perfect temperature We had dined at AMBRA before and really enjoyed the music. It was a bit loud and not the same genre. Overall, great evening. Omar thank you for all you do. We will be back!

    We had Ambra cater a gala and it was amazing so we decided to eat at the restaurant but unfortunately we did not have a great experience. We had to oysters and those were great also the nigiri wagyu was tasty but the lobster mac n cheese unfortunately was not tasty the burnt Brussels tasted like oil and the cowboy cut steak was dry.

    It is a great place; very comfortable to eat delicious and enjoy a pleasant talk. It is appreciated that the music is at its exact point and you can listen to the talk with your companion. Highly recommended to celebrate any type of event.

    Food was terrific, Fresh ingredients, great presentation, unique combinations and dishes. Venue too noisy, especially considering the price. We were there Friday night, clientele were gaggles of young women in cocktail dresses pregaming for club action later in the evening. Prices are standard, but for a big city, and McAllen is not. I’d go back midweek and hope for a quieter experience as the food was excellent.

    Great staff very attentive, just one thing they need bigger tables, I went on a date night with my wife and we were say at a Tiny table, i heard other people make they same comment, Obviously money is not a factor when dining at a nice upscale place like this, but i was tempted to buy 2 additional plates and drinks to get a better seating.

    El postre manguisimo es sumamente delicioso!! lo mejor que he probado en mucho tiempo...tienes que probarlo. Los cortes son buenos, aunque creo que pueden mejorar las salsas de acompañamiento, solo hay 5 opciones de sides. El lugar es agradable y la atencion fue realmente muy buena, un par de veces fue personal de la administracion a verificar que todo estuviera correcto en nuestra mesa. Lo unico que no me gusto fue que el WC esta en espacio compartido Este es un restaurante 9 de 10, de los mejores que hay en Mcallen tx.

    I had a wonderful dining experience at your restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting.     Waitress was professional, nice and made us feel comfortable. Chefs would deliver food with great pride. Manager/ owner checked in with us. Pricy, but I would highly recommend for a special occasion such as engagement, anniversary etc. Food was trademark to the restaurant.

    Excellent Anniversary dinner. Very good appetizer although they didn't have the appetizer we wanted and was advertised. Steaks were very good. Mushrooms were great. Dessert wasn't quite what we envisioned (Tres Leches). Coffee could have been more. Wine was very nice. Prices a tad high. Ambiance and service was first rate. Overall, a great place.

    The food and service was awesome. Waiter made great reccomendations based on our preferences and didn't just try to hike up the tab. Drinks were phenomenal and every appetizer we had was delicious. My wife and I had shrimp aguachile,oyster granitos, the amra street corn (cant remember the name on the menu) , and also tried the salmon o er fried rice. I had the chicken with Salsa Verde and my wife ate the seabass. Everything was delicious.

    While the restaurant has an excellent customer service the restaurant food seems too pricey for the quality and quantity of the food served. The amount and variety of the bread with the smoked butter is rather skimpy. The steaks are cooked on point as requested but the price is too high. The seasoning is rather plain. The sides are also rather small and nothing that really would make them memorable. The main reason to go there would be the restaurant location, ambience, and decor, being so close to upper Mcallen. Cannot beat La Pampa from Brownsville in quality of food, from the bread to the meat variety and side dishes. Another good competitor is Salt, also superior in food quality, meats, side dishes, drinks and desserts. But Salt js a rather small restaurant. The bathroom needs to have men and women on different areas…! Overall, 4 star is a good start for a new restaurant.
