I had a wonderful dining experience at your restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my meal. The food was absolutely delicious. Waitress was professional, nice and made us feel comfortable. Chefs would deliver food with great pride. Manager/ owner checked in with us. Pricy, but I would highly recommend for a special occasion such as engagement, anniversary etc. Food was trademark to the restaurant.

Excellent Anniversary dinner. Very good appetizer although they didn't have the appetizer we wanted and was advertised. Steaks were very good. Mushrooms were great. Dessert wasn't quite what we envisioned (Tres Leches). Coffee could have been more. Wine was very nice. Prices a tad high. Ambiance and service was first rate. Overall, a great place.

The food and service was awesome. Waiter made great reccomendations based on our preferences and didn't just try to hike up the tab. Drinks were phenomenal and every appetizer we had was delicious. My wife and I had shrimp aguachile,oyster granitos, the amra street corn (cant remember the name on the menu) , and also tried the salmon o er fried rice. I had the chicken with Salsa Verde and my wife ate the seabass. Everything was delicious.

While the restaurant has an excellent customer service the restaurant food seems too pricey for the quality and quantity of the food served. The amount and variety of the bread with the smoked butter is rather skimpy. The steaks are cooked on point as requested but the price is too high. The seasoning is rather plain. The sides are also rather small and nothing that really would make them memorable. The main reason to go there would be the restaurant location, ambience, and decor, being so close to upper Mcallen. Cannot beat La Pampa from Brownsville in quality of food, from the bread to the meat variety and side dishes. Another good competitor is Salt, also superior in food quality, meats, side dishes, drinks and desserts. But Salt js a rather small restaurant. The bathroom needs to have men and women on different areas…! Overall, 4 star is a good start for a new restaurant.

Was a beautiful experience. First time out with wife and daughters for a birthday. Service was on point, food was excellent, but no place if perfect. Missing an “all chocolate” dessert and Ice Tea. Remember, even Michelin-rated restaurants serve Ice Tea.

The food was amazing. Skip the appetizers….they aren’t worth it. The main course dishes were excellent. The service was outstanding. Only drawback was the seating. Tables were so close together you could hear the conversations of the parties next to us. But overall…..very good

It was a nice dinner. Food was good but not great. They overcooked a bone in steak which they replaced. Duck didn’t have much flavor. The Aguachile was the tastiest item we had. Wine list was refreshing and had some great selections.

It was my second time at Ambra, and it never fails to amaze me how wonderful the staff, environment, and delicious the food is. Beto was our waiter last night and he was a joy to have. Thank you for the lovely experience for my pre birthday.

Made a reservation a couple of days in advance, arrived 10 mins ahead of schedule and we were taken to our table.. in the bar by the door. Its very warm with both doors opening and closing. Had to have our conversation louder then needed because of the bar conversations and music. I asked if we could be move to the dinning room area but were told it would be 45 to 1 hour additional wait. Did not feel we received the value for the cost. But food was great and the waiter was very attentive.. maybe a bit much..

Beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere, wonderful food, and absolutely the best service by Hugo!!! he went out of his way to make our first time experience the best and will definitely be recommending to friends and family The bar service needs help. It took about 20 minutes for somebody to actually acknowledge us once seated at the bar.

My only complaint is about the restrooms, as a female I do not feel comfortable coming out of the restroom and males are waiting around. I did not feel comfortable looking at myself in the mirror to fix my lipstick or dress. I felt extremely uncomfortable.

The atmosphere is exactly what you want for something intimate. If you're looking for delicious food with a intimate experience, you might need to look somewhere else. Although the food sounds and looks amazing, it lacks flavor. The wait staff are super. It's definitely a popular location for a celebratory occasion If you're looking to impress, but that's it. It's definitely a social media flex.

Our server Johansson was very attentive and knowledgeable. The waitstaff in general was very good and professional and courteous. The quality of the steaks has improved. Hopefully the vegetarian menu expands.
