Situated in Ambleside’s old mill yard adjacent to the historic Bridge House, we specialise in serving pasteurised brewery-fresh craft beers directly from our six large copper tanks displayed above the bar. Plus offers a range of hand pulled local cask ales, national and international draught beers – serving up drinks to quench everyone’s thirst.

The extensive bar selection is complemented by quality wood-fired hand-stretched pizzas, gourmet burgers & sharing delicatessen boards made using only the finest freshest locally sourced ingredients.

We’re lucky enough to be positioned close to several popular walking routes, making us the perfect place to fuel up before a hike or to rest up after a hard day trekking in the Lake District fells. Our restaurant and bar area is also dog friendly.

We arrived early for our booking and were accomodated straight away. The pizzas were great and the atmosphere good.

The food as always was delicious! However on this occasion the staff spoilt the experience. We were so rushed despite having booked our table, they were desperate to get you out and more people in. Drinks and food were practically thrown onto the table and we saw staff trying to take people’s plates when they weren’t even finished! Staff were running around and slamming around chairs and tables. This made the atmosphere very frantic and far from relaxing! Never had this experience here before so we are hoping this was a one off!

Absolutely outstanding pizzas, good quality, authentic ingredients and cooked the traditional way in a very hot, wood burning pizza oven . Service very friendly, efficient and helpful. Ordering drinks at the table does however seem to create a bottle neck when busy

Food was really tasty, we didn’t have to wait long for it. The service was great, very friendly. We were there on a Friday evening so it was busy, and a little noisy. But it’s what you would expect. Would definitely come again.

Brilliant food and atmosphere. Had to get attention of waiting staff to clear plates and bring dessert menus and got up to pay in end as no one came to us for us to ask for the bill but overall a thoroughly enjoyed evening.
