Amber India - San Francisco
I thought the food options for meat were very limited given the price. Also would have liked to see more than one kind of rice.
Best India buffet in the City even though the quality of some of the items got downgraded. But you must try. And you can bring your non-Indian friends as well, as the spice level is minimum and they have also Gluten-free options.
This Indian restaurant is just okay. If you have no other options, it may satisfy your craving, if you choose wisely from the menu. It has a great location.
Great as usual, can’t say much else. When in San Francisco we always eat here at least once.
Food is delicious and service very good.
Great food, great service, great ambiance all in the heart of downtown SF. Champagne mimosas included in buffet? What else can you ask for? I’ll see you again soon amber!
Great food. Belinda the server was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Peahwari naan yum!
Always a winner with tasty Indian dishes. Best Somosa ever
Food came out extremely fast and full of flavor. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. There is a lot of stairs, which is not so good for kids.
The food is great but the portion size is too small to really relish anything! I really wish they would reconsider their portion size. It's usually never enough for a family of four who might not be willing to order another because of value for money being paid and quantity offered.
Not happy with food quality in buffet. Otherwise food is excellent
None of the restrooms were working, had a hard time with small kids.. as we had to go out in the cold and request other restaurants to allow us to use their restroom. Very poorly managed by Amber. Zero star for hospitality - Restrooms, handwash and poor communication on this.
Amber has a great dinner and drinks menu. The service is also very good. We were there for NYE and we have a great time. Its good for dates, business meetings as well as family time.
The food was terrible for the price. We have been to this location in the past and the food has always been of the highest quality.
I would recommend this restaurant if they are looking for a high priced restaurant with good ambience. However the food was just okay.
Good food. Portion is on the "small" side of things. But, good service and very flavorful.
Always a favorite for us in San Francisco. The menu is top-notch with some unique fusion Indian dishes. Service is always excellent as well.
The food was not up to the mark. It was cold and uninspiring. Not worth the value. I think the management shd take a closer look at operations. Service was good.
Beautiful dining room and the dishes we had were wonderful. Ambiance would have been perfect except for toddlers and babies either crying or screaming. It wasn’t for the whole time, but often enough to make it disturbing.
I wouldn’t have thought of this lovely place as being ideal for children, but they were there!
No kids menu. Too spicy. Too fast
Overall good but they try to get your meal finished in one hour.
The food was average compared to other Indian restaurants in the South Bay. Not a lot of dishes. The single file line made it difficult to get food.
The food was delicious however it was not hot. It barely made to the table warm. We got tendori sampler so no sauces could make the rice warmer. Over all it was great, a lot of staff, just wish they served the food straight out of the kitchen. Would definitely will go back ❤️
Dal makhani was not good , very expensive breads. Good butter chicken
Great service and food
Booked location for a business meeting, great food, great service, very spacious
Food was amazing, cocktail was superb
Took us forever to get seated so we seated ourselves
Everything we had was amazing! We tried the cauliflower bezule, lobster in coconut cream, kadhai paneer, pesto naan and laccha paratha. The flavors went well together, including the pesto naan.
Tidy up your washrooms Amber management. They are pathetic in SF as well as Santana Row.
We had such a good time thank you so much for your service 🤗😉
We’ve dined here before and has good experiences. This time food was horrible.
Great buffet and conveniently located near the moscone center.
The lunch buffet here, while a wee bit pricy, is always outstanding. The stuff of my foodie dreams.
Very average. Disappointing.
Amber India is our favorite restaurant in San Francisco.
I love everything about Amber India: food is excellent, very good and friendly service, it is not too noisy and it is very easy to get to on public transportation. What else can you ask for? All dishes I tried there are so good, and I love their various naan breads.
This place has the most delicious biryani I have ever tasted. Full stop. Get it. You won't be disappointed!
Meh. The food was ok, cocktail list and ingredients ok, and the service was ok. The prices were too high for food and drinks that were just ok. Spend your money in one of the other, better restaurants in the area.
The food was perfection. The service
