Food is always good, but if you can't handle too much spice, you need to tell them "mild". Even with that, I find the food is sometimes too spicy!
It was a great valentines dinner in the downstairs private area with great good and perfect service!
I will never go to Amber India again for a special occasion. They looked to be staffed well but service was slow. Also, the room was cold, crowded, noisy, and definitely not the experience we were looking for for Valentine’s Day. The food was mediocre too. When our food came, we hardly ate since we were full after waiting so long and picking at our appetizers. And our food got cold quickly. Very disappointed.
Amber is a cut above the average north Indian restaurant. The service, the menu, the creative/traditional flavors. I don't know what they're doing in the kitchen, but everything just tastes better at Amber. The spinach paneer is luscious and rich and delicious and -- spinach. The malai kofta is spicy and warm and tomatoey and wonderful. I ate the leftovers for breakfast.
Food is exceptional; staff pleasant and attentive. Great Indian food on the peninsula
My Tandoori chicken was cooked just right, succulent, yet fabulous taste! We loved each dish so this will be our new favorite restaurant!!
Lovely space. Attentive staff. Nice location off the main road. Wanted to love the food. The raita just wasn’t spiced right. The lamb in my meal didn’t taste fresh. It tasted old. I had high hopes but what I ordered was just not that good.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Good for everyday dining as well as for special occasions. Service is great. Full bar and wines by the glass. Peshawari Chicken Tikka and Paneer Elaichi Pasanda were delicious!
My husband & I enjoy Indian food occasionally and we find this new Amber India delightfully attractive. Ordering takes some skill & it would be nice if the staff was more helpful in explaining portion size etc. . It is often quite empty in recent visits & we hope it’s ok.
Not bad but not awesome. Some dishes like the lentil dishes didn’t do it for me.
