Amazing! This is arguably the best restaurant in Washington DC!
Last meal service before the renovation so they were out of some of our favorite dishes. We go here often and enjoy ourselves every time.
I love Ambar! This was the last day they were open before closing for a renovation to double the size of the space. I can’t wait to go back in April 2020 and check out the new place and the additions to the menu. You won’t go wrong here it is amazing
Ambar was great. I look forward to trying it again when it reopens after renovations.
Bartender was our waitress too. She was fantastic. The food was wonderful and tasted and quick service. Love Ambar!
Went out with friends and we had a fantastic time! Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was solid.
Already planning my next trip!
I love their quick lunch menu. I think it is a great value to experience little bit of everything or more of what you love. Keep it coming. The service is friendly and punctual.
The food here was amazing. The Balkan experience is such a great value -- especially with how great the food and drinks are. I found the waitstaff to be incredibly helpful and they provided great recommendations for what food to try. I will definitely come back again and I've been telling my friends that this is a required restaurant in DC.
We went for restaurant week and thoroughly enjoyed it! The leek croquettes and the meat pie were our top favorites!
The foood was amazing and so were the drinks. The waffles are to die for- crisp and well done. Berry mimosa was my favourite
I've only ever done the balkan experience here but every dish I've ordered has been delicious. The mimosas are perfect. The peach mimosa has lavender in it that you can actually taste.
While I was very excited for this experience looking at the menu, the food was a hit and a miss. Since it was 3 of us dining, we were able to try 80% of the menu items. Of everything we tried, it seemed like something was missing or tasting really ordinary. Nothing on the menu really blew me away. What I also found strange was that the Ambar Experience while limited to small plates (which isn't an issue) had no dessert options.
It felt like an incomplete meal for that reason and overall not value for money.
