Awesome experience dining at Ambar. The food was delicious and the service was excellent (Marko was great!). Definitely recommend to anyone, especially those who have not experienced Balkan food. You won’t be disappointed.

Very great experience overall. Went for the lunch menu and tried a little bit of everything. Favorites are the roasted lamb as well as the cheese pie dish. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to get a taste of the balkans at a very reasonable price.

I recently visited Ambar and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, making it the perfect spot for dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. A special thank you goes to our server, Mia, who was exceptionally professional and welcoming. She truly made our experience even more memorable. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious options. I particularly enjoyed the steak tartare, Balkan kebab, and the Carrot ginger soup—the best I’ve ever had! Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, I highly recommend Ambar to anyone looking for a great dining experience. I look forward to returning again soon!

Not very authentic Balkan food. They add a twist to the dishes that take away from the original flavor. Service was good. Value for the amount of food was not worth it since the portion sizes are tiny and must be shared with the entire table. Overall this is a one and done kind of place.

Management needs to consider more options. For example, there were no non-alcoholic beers offered. Non alcoholic beer is a low calorie alternative to sugary mocktails. Also, heat levels were too high on some sauces without other creative alternatives --most notably on the white fish. The vitamin salad could use a more interesting dressing to give it a more intense, interesting flavor. Loved the crunch, but it was a bit bland. We see this so often, the bread service is not thought out. Few people what dry bread or heavily fat soaked bread. We were offered dry pita with the salad. I know the pita is designed to go with dips, but we wanted bread with our salad. Offering oil or butter automatically would have made the bread presentation more appealing. I loved the salmon with tahini and cooked cucumbers. This will definitely bring us back.

Overall, a great experience. The food was excellent—we especially enjoyed the all-you-can-eat option, which featured a variety of delicious Balkan breakfast dishes. The waffles were very tasty. We visited in July and chose to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. When we stepped inside, it felt noticeably cold, so if you plan to dine indoors, you may want to bring an extra layer just in case. Would definitely recommend for a unique and flavorful breakfast experience with a Balkan twist.
