We made a reservation on the terrace for three for a birthday celebration. Service was average - it wasn't very busy and yet we waited anywhere between 5-10 mins for each drink order. At one point our waiter forgot altogether and had to be reminded. He was nice enough but seemed in no hurry to get to us. Food was yummy, I highly recommend the uštipci and the stuffed lepinja for starters. We didn't love the mains, but that was more because of portion sizes / oiliness rather than them not being nicely cooked. Atmosphere was great, view was incredible - very nice in the evenings when the lights come on. Hopefully you'll get more attentive staff, I'm sure this place can be fantastic!

The food was below average. It’s not Balkan food restaurant, more like international food. Not a good value for money. Fried food was soaked in oil. The service is very slow. The server was nice. I would not recommend.

Reconozco que al principio duré un momento escéptico: al llegar parecía que no había una mesa reservada, la atención del personal era muy amigable pero algo descuidada o informal. Pero me fui relajando porque descubrí que así es el asunto aquí. Se trata de un ambiente sin parafernalia y más bien honesto y terminó gustándome mucho. Todos los platillos que me sirvieron los encontré genuinos, bien presentados y con muy buen sabor. Agradezco y aplaudo esta ventana a la cultura culinaria de Serbia con platillos tradicionales y toques contemporáneos en un lugar sin pretenciones y con una propuesta asequible y frente al río Danubio, emblemático para la ciudad. Lo recomiendo y si me es posible, volveré.

We had the tasting menu which an incredible array of Serbian dishes, it was so much food for 2 persons, could easily have fed 4. The service and staff were excellent however as the restaurant got busier, they were not as attentive, and everything took longer.

Traditional Serbian cuisine with the addition of additional spices and flavors. By doing so, the food distinguishes itself from many of the other excellent establishments that also offer traditional Serbian options in Belgrade. The location combines post-industrial chic with immediate walkability along a part of the river that is gentrifying — although to reach this location a taxi, bike, scooter, or other wheeled vehicle is more convenient than by foot. The interior has plenty of seating distributed in such a manner that different atmospheres are created in the various parts of the large restaurant.

Nice place with a beautiful view. Good food and very good service. Some of the tables could look better thow and the menu could have more variation… Worth for the money. The monastery chiken didn’ t impressed , but the ramb veel did. Calamari were very good and the serbian local wine also.

In general, we had a nice experinece at Ambar but... It seems that the waiters were exhausted - I heard some of them complaining to the guests they are tired or didn't sleep. Our waiter mixed the order completely - brought the food we didn't order, didn't bring the food we order etc. We had to wait for ages to pay. The food and ambience was all worth it but the service needs to be improved and A LOT.

Location is nice, you may have a river view , if choose to stay at the terrace . Food is good, though portions are big and a concept of brunch with many things to try doesn’t fit :)) the service is excellent , friendly and welcoming,

It was a wonderful experience to be guest here. The waiter gave us great and valid recommendations. The food was excellent. The cook was so flexible to immediately serve whatever we wished. We had „all you can eat“ Serbian food which was delicious. The Sarma however were not so spicy as I expected - my granny made better ones as grandmothers always do ;-) But this remark does not diminish the overall impression.

Great food and service. We went on a very quiet day, but my overall impression is that it’s a good restaurant to meet friends for dinner and chat. It’s also a good place for those who can’t stand smoke filled places in Belgrade. The restaurant has very high ceilings and smoke extraction.

Changed meals - quantity and quality are decreased. Since I’ve been there few time before I’m not very pleased with what we got for the price we paid. Also we waited for too long for our order to come. All in all we won’t come again
