This restaurant has an airy elegant ambiance. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and promptly taken to our table. Our server was very charming and engaging. The food is very good but slightly over priced. There were a few missteps worth noting: server took longer than expected to come to our table, forgot to put our appetizers in for the kitchen staff to make, the wrong entrees were initially brought to our table and lastly the server took a long time to clear our table and bring us the check. The server did apologize for the mishaps and indicated that our sparkling water would be on the house. Overall our experience at Armatista was pleasant and enjoyable .
The quality of food and the serving size is GREAT! I really enjoyed eating here with my kids. The atmosphere is pleasant, as well as the customer service.
I will DEFINITELY eat here again!
Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious.
The views are very lovely. The venue is beautiful & the staff was wonderful.
The food was good.
Chef Jose was SO accommodating for food allergies! The food was fresh, healthy, and delicious. All 4 kids were able to try new things and had a great experience! We were also surprised how cost effective the meal was. Thank you, Chef Jose and Amatista Cookhouse!
The food is fresh . the service is wonderful. Sam was so nice . I would recommend eating at Amatista we have many times and it never disappoints.
Great ambiance and great services too. My Family and I loved it.
Pot pie was too salty. Nothing special. Cheddar rolls were the highlight.
We all had a Great Dinner and the drinks were even better…you should definitely go. Best restaurant in the hotel !!!!
Seems our server forgot to put our order in… we waited an hour before being served and saw numerous other tables that arrived after us order and get their food. I had to ask for our food and then it was delivered in stages.
The food was amazing. We tried new dishes on the recommendation of our server and we’re pleasantly surprised. I was hesitant to eat here not being familiar with the cuisine. I’m glad we ate here. I expected the bill to be outrageously expensive for a hotel restaurant but we had 2 cocktails, an appetizer, 2 entrees and shared a dessert for just over $100 with a good tip. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food and service here were great! Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. My husband and I loved the rotisserie chicken with sides. The wings are also delicious. Highly recommend!
I never mind paying for food that is good. But in my opinion the food was average. We were a part of six, with one kids meal. Wings and crab cake app were good and likely the best part of the meal. Rotisserie chicken meals were good. Sauce on the side was so so. My two ribeye dinners though we're poor. Fatty, tough and not cooked to temp requested. For the over all price we paid for the meal, it wasn't anything I would repeat.
As a dinner choice, Amatista is a reasonable choice if you don’t feel like traveling far. Like most of the food at Universal (or any theme park), it is more expensive for what it is than it should be, but the price is comparable to other restaurants in the area. The food was good. For breakfast, I would not advise going there unless you really want to eat a huge breakfast. They really pressure you to eat the buffet, and to me breakfast buffets are rarely worth it. For half the price, you can walk across the parking lot to the Aventura and get breakfast at their restaurant, although it is not table service.
Overall a great dining experience! From the start the main Hostess was really accommodating in getting us seated even though are reservation was about an hour later. The bartender was super quick mixing up our drinks. We sat at our actual table in a flash where our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and his suggestions were on point.
We had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The staff are always friendly and attentive. I recommend making a reservation for this restaurant.
Great atmosphere with mediocre food. Recommend if nothing else is open. They should definitely change the menu or the chef...the Flatbread tasted very rubbery...worst than theme park food.
There was not very good protection from Covid breakfast buffet.
Lots of kids and crying babies
Food just wasn’t amazing. Cocktail was pure booze, too much. Staff did their best but were overwhelmed.
I ended up sending back my dinner, cocktail and one side as they weren’t great.
The food was wonderful, unfortunately we were charged for not only our food but the table next to us. It was corrected, but I still don’t quite understand how that happens. Our meal was $52, but ultimately we having pending charges of over $150 for this error. Other than that we loved the food, cleanliness and ambiance!
Great option for dinning in. Ambiance open, clean and quiet. Would recommend for dinner and drinks when you just want to take a break from the craziness of the parks
On vacation . Will comeback again someday .
The service was great and the the view was nice! Also, the food was better than it looked in the pictures!! Thank you!
Because of COVID, the probably don’t have enough wait staff and/or kitchen crew, so service takes a while. Took two hours, even when we started at 8 pm. Hopefully will improve as things return to normal.
3 of us in the party - 1 fish sandwich the fish was raw, 1 fish sandwich was rubber and extremely watery with a bad odor, and the other was under cooked. They did replace the meals with something else. However, the server had an attitude after having to get the manager to help us with the issues. The server was MIA after the food was delivered to the table.
Limited menu with prices you will need to pawn a kid to pay for. Stay away far away.
It would be a good idea for them to invest in management. Service was terrible. Tables remained unbussed for the ENTIRE DURATION of our visit (2 hours). For $75/person I expect better service than Applebee’s.
A very nice fine dining experience. Courteous and knowledgeable servers and one of the best Angus burgers ever! We are traveling with our granddaughter who is Type 1 diabetic. It would have been very useful to have the nutritional information for her meal. We received no help there. You would have very grateful parents if this information could be provided. This unseen disability is too often ignored.
I had expectations for this place based on reviews, but highly disappointing. the food is bland and flavorless, but they do have an amazing wine list.
We were blessed to have Jimmy as our waiter! He is a gem and the best part of Amatista. From his friendliness to his description of the dishes, he has a positive influence and a love for pleasing his guests.
Breakfast buffet - wide variety, food was hot and good. Fresh squeezed Orange juice was very good. The fruit was fresh and tasty. I did not care for the gravy with the biscuit. I prefer a fluffy, white sausage gravy.
Overall, it was a good, filling breakfast that lasted several hours enabling us to skip lunch.
We split a hamburger and fries as we were not very hungry.
Pros - very good burger, perfect for two people if not too hungry. Food was moderately fast- there were only four tables at the time - 12:30pm on a Wed.
Cons - our waiter was efficient but not too friendly, seemed not too happy to be there
Overall, would eat here as a convenience of being in the hotel. I’m sure their dinner would be very good.
The service at this place is good, they're just incredibly slow on the drinks. Not sure why that in particular but bread came out before our waters. The food was decent, I would say that you don't really get any bang for your buck and to stay away from their interpretation of a Margherita pizza. The waiters, servers and people cleaning the tables were amazing! They were kind, in fact when we ordered the pizza, we told our waiter we didn't like it and he took it off the bill. They just need to step up the menu.
We went here twice. 15 minute delay in getting our first visit from our server to even get water but after that everything was excellent. I’m picky and the food here is superb. Recommend the conch chowder. One visit I had the fish sandwich - fresh and tasty. Next visit I had the salmon which was excellent. You won’t be disappointed.
Our server Chris was amazing. The breastfast buffet could have been fresher. But other than that we were happy.
Was expensive for what we received. Food tasted good, but the prices are out of line for quality of food/ service and environment
Our food was great but the best part was the service. We had an outstanding server who took note of our allergy to nuts and eggs.
Food was excellent and fast
I enjoyed my meal, the seafood paella, my brother wasn’t a big fan of the fish sandwich. Staff was very attentive.
Took 45 min for waiter to take order and was not very personable
