Waiter was prompt and on time. Food was prepared perfectly and delivered hot. Attentive wait staff without being smothering. Very nice place to eat
Everything was fantastic, but the price!
Everything was great - except for the price. $35 breakfast buffet = taking advantage of captive audience.
Great menu with nice grill and salad options.
I made a dinner reservation for my husband’s birthday and was quite disappointed that not one person acknowledged it. 3 hostesses? Nope. Waiter? Nope. Two of us ordered off the prix-fixe menu, and one off the standard menu. All of our food was good, but the waiter never once came to ask if we needed more drinks. When he finally returned it wasn’t to ask if we needed anything else, it was to deliver the check. We ate outside on the patio with a nice view, but the lack of attention would not have me return for another meal here.
Birthday for my brother. They made it extra special.
Ate breakfast twice and dinner once. The first day we had the buffet at twenty five dollars per person. Typical buffet with an omelet station. We sat by the window with a nice view. Service was excellent. The second day we ordered off the menu. The omelet and coffee was about seventeen dollars and included potatoes, toast, and bacon on the side. Again service was excellent although the restaurant was very busy. The last night we had dinner and again sat by the window with a nice view. On both occasions the reception desk was very acomodating when we asked for a window table. Not wanting to spend over thirty dollars for a steak I opted for half a rotisserie chicken. Very tasty but I felt a bit over priced at twenty dollars. My wife and son each had a flatbed which they thought was very good. The bread basket was delicious. The service was excellent.
We stayed at the Universal Aventura Hotel next door to the Loews Sapphire Springs so Amatista was a five minute walk.
Enjoyed the food!
Henry was our server and tried to make our meal fantastic, but our steaks were cooked medium well after being ordered rare, the kitchen was in no hurry, our coffee was never brought out with dessert, the manager DJ never apologized when he came to our table, and every employee except Henry couldn’t be bothered to help or hustle. It’s beautiful, but just another typical theme park restaurant with overpriced food.
Service was great! It’s very nice inside and the food was good.
We went for Magical Dining and unknown to us, MD guests get 50% off bottles of wine. So we had a delicious 3 course meal and a bottle of wine all at a very reasonable price.
Everything was great! The food and the service was great.
The breakfast was wonderful!! One of my favorites. We literally cancelled our reservations for The Kitchen to come to Amatista a second time! DJ was a fantastic manager, we saw him walking around with a coffee pot, even remembered us from yesterday and went out of his way to make sure we were great. Having a manager on the floor talking to guests was a great sight to see.
Delicious food and drinks! The service was great, from the hostess greeter to the manager and our amazing server, Erica. Highly recommend the Crab Cakes, and the Red Velvet Cheesecake. Both are equally stunning and tasty. A must try if staying at Universal Orlando Resort!
Our server, Erica was awesome! She made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. The food was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were fresh. This dining experience was fantastic and we will be returning more often.
This was not my first visit to Amatista Cookhouse, so I was very surprised by the poor experience we had this time. The service was awkward and it was several little things that left a poor taste. We were participating in Magical Dining, so I'm not sure if that is why there was a lack of attention to detail as they assumed we wouldn't tip appropriately.
The food was hit or miss. My boyfriend had the carne asada street tacos and they were completely inedible. The steak was so tough I couldn't even take a bite of it. He did not think the chicken was very flavorful either. We both agree the highlight of the meal was the dessert. The chocolate cake and red velvet cheesecake were both extremely decadent.
A few things in regards to service - my boyfriend ordered a side salad and the server specifically confirmed if the house dressing was ok. The salad arrived completely dry with no dressing. The server saw he had barely touched the tacos and didn't ask if everything was ok (yes we could have said something, but you would think a server would question it as well). I ordered a steak and didn't get a steak knife. We asked for a knife and never got it. We had fries, but weren't offered any condiments. My water glass stayed empty longer than it should have, due to the number of people approaching our table to bring food/take food away. No one offered to fill it or just brought over a pitcher of water to fill it. All of these are very minor things but having one after the other, and the food being sub-par as well, just left for an experience that made us not sure if we will return.
Beautiful Restaurant - modern and new.
The food is fantastic and fresh. High Quality
Nice service. We spent a great time - Thank you so much !!!
It was very pleasant. Food really well prepared and presented. Surprisingly great menu. Service was excellent
Good food. Fast service. Clean restaurant.
Burgers are great, made to order. Service was great. Desserts are good.
Ordered steak to be cooked well done and it was rare. Salmon was not cooked enough. Broccoli was cold and practically raw.
We went for lunch and dinner. Servive was a 3-4 at lunch. Our waiter was not checking on us. I have to ask for a passing by waiter for water refill. However, our dinner experience was great. Service a 5. Food is pricy as expected on this kind of resort but quality is very good. I’m Hispanic so I was afraid of asking for paella due prior disappointments on more American- type cusine. For my surprise, it was actually quite good! All the dishes we tried were excellent with lot of flavor, nice presentation. Interesting Caribbean influence in their dishes. Definitely, will go back.
I have eaten here 3 times before but this time was not good.
There was a table of 3 adults with children right behind us. The children were screaming, running around the restaurant throwing things at each other jumping on chairs and generally behaving like wild animals. No one - parents or staff - did anything about it. We were not the only table upset by this unacceptable behavior!
The food I chose was not good. I had Jerk Pot Pie. The filling was like baby food purée with 3 strips of chicken. No peas or celery as promised but it did have 4 small pieces of carrots and it was incredibly salty. I also sent the first one back as it arrived cold.
We had empanadas for the table, they were huge and also not as advertised. No black beans, corn or vegetables were visible. Just shredded chicken in a thick sauce.
Our waiter was nice but very hard to find. Service overall was slow. One of our party ordered fries, we had to ask 2 different waiters for them. They arrived as they were almost finished eating. We were there with friends that had travelled to see us from the UK. I’m sorry, but we will not be back. Total waste of money.
Beautiful environment. Lost of choices from buffet to menu. High quality food and service. We all left full and happy!
Went here for the first night of our honey moon. Not only did the manager give us a great discount, (being a special occasion) but the food is top tier compared to so many place around. I would definitely recommend this place and I plan on going back.
Overpriced for what it is, but every restaurant around here is overpriced so I guess it's all relative. Overall a nice restaurant I would definitely return to. Nice decor. Nice service. Good food. Friendly and attentive staff. Plus very convenient if you are staying as a guest at Loews Sapphire Falls resort at Universal Orlando.
Overall, it was alright. The food was eh. I got the jerk chicken and waffles and while the chicken was great, the waffle was soggy. They put the syrup on beforehand and it was way too much for my liking. I would have much preferred the syrup in the side so I can put as much as I want. My fiancé got their omelet and he said it was over cooked. I got a side of bacon and it was wayyy undercooked. I sent it back. Their service was great!
Beautiful, airy dining room with unique lighting ; varied menu offers up some Caribbean inspired dishes (the jerk chicken pot pie is wonderful!). Service is prompt, not intrusive.
The service and food was exceptional, this was brunch and can not wait to go back for lunch or dinner. The service and management team was at your care with a big parties of girls for a bachelorette.
Service is great. Portions are big so you get your money’s worth. Breakfast is outstanding. We ordered eggs Benedict off the menu but the buffet also looked great. Rotisserie chicken for dinner was the big hit.
Our server Joey was outstanding, friendly and really helpful and seemed to just always appear when you needed him. Food portions good size and they really know how to serve a dessert. Would recommend if your staying on site and do book with a certain app as it gets super super busy.
Great service, but 40 dollars for a whole chicken that Walmart sells for 5 was a little crazy. The food was ok at best and very overpriced. The rolls were extremely dry and the chicken was bland.
Delicious lunch! Great service!
Love the black bean soup and roasted chicken! Yum!
Such a beautiful backdrop! And the burger I had was delicious.
Why leave the Saphire Bay resort when the best restaurant is located on the lower level of the hotel! Staff was exceptional and when one of our steaks was a little well done Erica and James went out of their way to make sure our group of eight was completely satisfied. Food was very good with something for all ages and the staff phenomenal. We will definitely go back.
Amatista Cookhouse has quickly become our favorite restaurant, so much so that we made a second dining reservation for the same stay. Our evening meal with our server, Vinnie, was exceptional! He assisted my wife with her gluten-free dietary needs and also brought us prosecco, as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. He was very friendly and very accommodating. All of the menu items were exceptional, as were the service and the ambience.
We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Our server, Natasha, was very friendly and engaging and made us all feel right at home. There were so many selections at the buffet, many with a Caribbean riff on traditional favorites. The made-to-order omelets were hot, delicious, and served with a smile.
Amatista cookhouse was a bit of a let down. Based on the menu description the House made empanadas, queso fundido, and meat lovers flat breads sounded enticing and tasty. However, they lacked flavor. Everything tasted like it was frozen and not freshly made/prepared.
Food was ok. Service was professional
