It was an excellent experience. Great food and service. And right in the middle of Sunset strip's grunginess where you don't expect to find such places.
an authentic Italian restaurant. serves great and fresh food. nice ambience, friendly staff.
This restaurant was amazing! A highlight of our trip!
The most authentic Italian I have had in LA. Very friendly owner and staff! Will make this a regular spot.
This place is very authentic. We loved the food, the service, and the ambiance. It was a great experience. We look forward to returning.
You feel that you’re in Italy
If you judged a book by its cover you would miss this little gem.
Host / Owner offered great service and advice on the menu. All the pasta's are made on site.
Just a great limited menu and wine list for all occasions. Well priced.
Great Italian Food.
This one I would recommend to all.
Everything is made fresh in-house, and is the most delicious homemade Italian food you will find in a restaurant. The atmosphere is intimate and comfortable. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed. Sandro’s (the owner) hospitality was warm and inviting and made us feel “at home”. This is everything you want in an Italian restaurant. If we lived in LA, we would be frequent repeat patrons.
Celebrate get together
The food was excellent. We had the salad with goat cheese. Also the Pasta Bolognese, Spaghetti Marinara, Spinach Ravioli, Chocolate flourless cake & Cheesecake. Gratuity of 18% for such a simple order without ANY drinks at all was way way too much.
Made a reservation same day for after an early movie down the street at AMC5. What a great find - wonderful ambience, very tasty food, and excellent service. Enjoyed meeting the owners. Will definitely be back and have already recommended it to friends.
Very good Italian food! We had delicious starters. After that also very pleasant pastas. Super Italian wine. Our 15 years old son received nicely an extra portion berries with his desert. Nice owner, polyglotte.
Nice, VERY good food ,good service and ambiance. The food although good, was severely overpriced. In fairness I did have a pre fixed valentine menu.
Fabulous! Yes, another wonderful dining experience. We love this restaurant. I always feel like I've entered a hidden neighborhood gem in Florence when we frequent Amarone. The food is consistently delicious and the service warm and friendly.
Amazing food everything was wonderful
LOVE everyone at Amarone! The NICEST restaurant in Los Angeles! The food is superb and you can walk through the doors and feel like you are off a cobblestone street in Europe!
Eaten there 4-5 times. All have been good. Service great. Wine good. Parking no problem
Always great food and awesome service. Small local restaurant with great charm.
the restaurant was noisy, hot, stuffy, and a bad service.
We enjoy a nice Chardonnay , the pasta and lamb were perfect
Service way to improve
The restaurant is small but cozy. Staff are attentive and the owner is great. We started with the octopus appetizer, popilto scottato, that was tender, flavorful and beautifully presented. the Insalata di Pere e Gorgonzola was a tasty salad. The noodles in out entrees were made in house and authentic. Portions were the right size. I had the Strozzapreti ai Gamberi- a unique type of noodle that was enjoyed by both of us. Tagliatelle alla Bolognese was the other entree and equally great. The coffees were awesome.
Great food service dessert veal also slightly overcooked. Wine good. Parking fair
Excellent excellent. Food appetizers soup pasta main course veal dessert outstanding service fantastic
We are very fond of Amarone and want to return there more often. Great food, attentive and extremely pleasant service, cozy atmosphere...Our kinda place. Unpretentious and yet superb.
It was my birthday and I wanted comfort food Italian style. The homemade rigatoni with veal ragu, the asparagus salad and the chocolate cake fit the bill perfectly.
Food Was Excellent and everything thing was freshly made from scratched!
Amarone is a very unassuming restaurant. The staff is warm and welcoming and the food is simple but very solid. Every course was fresh and prepared just right-it's not a foodie destination but it is a solid neighborhood restaurant that I think you could count on to satisfy time after time. It was a pleasure to dine there
very good quality food
Pleasant friendly atmosphere and classic Italian cuisine.
The food was amazing. The atmosphere makes you feel at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Our server was sweet, interesting and accommodating.
The polipo (octopus) is to die for, oh-so-tender and so well accompanied by its citrus-y beans and greens. The burrata and prosciutto was also finger-licking good - not your supermarket prosciutto! It's dark and romantic upstairs, perfect to share glasses from their interesting wine list and whatever the pasta of the day is (we had prosciutto and lamb ragu). And, of course, exceptional service as usual from Sandro and his team. I can't wait to be back.
Great food and wonderful service. Celebrated a birthday. Wonderful experience.
Food was quite expensive but was just okay. Nothing really to complain or rave about. Just mediocre. Service was very slow on an evening when the restaurant was not particularly busy. Took an hour from the time we ordered until our food arrived, during which time the waitress constistently attempted to push more wine. Seemed intentional. The quality of food and service was not in line with the price. I doubt we will go back.
Excellent restaurant! Was a really pleasant surprise, food was delicious, attentive and superb flavors
Wonderful food with personable staff in a lovely, intimate space. (The specials are always especially amazing!) I love this place, as does my family.
Awesome people, food and ambience. Small and intimate but not at all closed in. Carpaccio melted, veg in salads and with mains were incredible, great wine at good prices. And the tiramisu!!!!! We will be back.
Great friendly restaurant with fabulous food and service
My husband and I were in town for 3 nights and we ate at Amarone two of the three nights we were there. Super authentic Italian food. Amazing wine list. Would highly recommend . Sandro the owner is very personable and knows his food. We will definitely be back and will recommend to our LA friends.
Great little Gem of a restaurant tucked away along Sunset Blvd. Never disappointed and Sandro is the most charming host/owner,
Well trained staff, great service, great food.
Awesome fresh Italian food. Friendly owner who ensures your meal is just the way you want it.
Very small portion. For pasta I would expect a bit more "generousity". Pasta were good.
