Inspired by its idyllic bayside setting, Amara at Paraiso is the quintessential Miami waterfront restaurant bringing together bold Latin American flavors, coastal ingredients, and South Florida’s diversity of food culture. From environment to cuisine and vibe, experience the dynamic energy, local ingredients, and natural beauty of Biscayne Bay that defines what living in Miami is all about through the lens of James Beard Award-winning chef/restauranteur Michael Schwartz.

We are taking every precaution to ensure a safe dining experience for our guests during these unprecedented times. Our outdoor seating is spacious, with many tables on our covered terrace.

The experience was absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed an incredible birthday here, and the staff were so wonderful that they gave me a birthday card and the dessert and coffee was on the house. The Arroz Verde and Dulce de Leche flan were outstanding. If you want to go to experience awesome food, awesome waterfront views, and beyond awesome staff, this place is it.

I booked weeks in advance for my girlfriend’s birthday and our anniversary, expecting the special occasion package with champagne and personalized touches. None of that was delivered. I asked for a decorated table, she got a generic card with no name. They promised to make her feel special, but didn’t follow through. Even the birthday dessert was just five small items with a sparkler overall, very underwhelming.

We went on a Tuesday night. Had reservations. It was mostly empty. We asked the hostess to seat us outside- there were about 10 open tables. She claimed they were all reserved but never saw one seated throughout our meal. Not sure why they did that but a bit rude and won’t go back.

The ambiance of this restaurant is really nice inside and outside. We have eaten her twice, both outside and found it so peaceful and serene overlooking Biscayne Bay. The food was really good! We loved the yucca puffs and the salads are great! The chicken Milanese was very good as well! The banana trifle was sooooo good! Drinks were yummy too! Our server was fantastic- Very helpful and personable and good energy! We plan on coming back soon with out of town guests!

We know the food here is very good and after seeing all the videos/ posts on Instagram, we were super excited for brunch. Food was good, especially the shrimp cocktail and oysters. However, dessert was disappointing. Upon arrival, we saw all these cakes and treats but when we went to go get some around 4:30 there wasn’t much left. The person attending asked if we wanted anything else and when I asked about the cakes or anything else they had, he said that was it and they weren’t replenishing anything anymore. Also, the menu posted online is inaccurate.

Ambiente and location is great. Very friendly and good service. Prices are a tad high but worth it. Parking, very little in the area, valet is $18.00
