It was a truly spectacular way to finish off a trip to Miami. Great food, great service (Rebecca was superb), and great views (sat outside). Cannot recommend this venue enough!
Excellent view and location. Great for sunsets and a relaxing time.
Fantastic venue, great staff and food- will definitely be coming back soon!
It was too expensive
Shoved us by the kitchen even the restaurant was not full. We requested outside. But were told it may rain and watched as others were seated in my reserved seat. Food was just average. Service was great though.
OUTSTANDING outdoor bayfront ambience; food & bar quality has declined a rung since Amara opened a few years ago.
The full package restaurant experience - bayside seating, inspired cocktails, James Beard caliber food, robust wine menu, and delicious dessert. We left completely satisfied and planning to return.
Food was delicious but service wasn’t great. Our server left us unattended for over 30 mins and then said he couldn’t serve us anymore because the brunch time limit was over.
Waiters were not attentive.
Beautiful place.. great service
I love Amara. But
Our server was rude inattentive and cocky
The food and ambience was excellent
We have been there before and had excellent service
Lovely ambience with excellent service! The food was fabulous!
The food and service was outstanding. In the era of COVID-19 it’s great to see a restaurant that has mastered the rules and still provides a great guest experience.
Great food and service.
The music was a little bit too loud for us but everything else was perfect! We are definitely coming back!
I was treated very badly by our waiter and the manager. So much so that I will never go there again. At the end of our meal I felt threatened by the staff to pay up and leave. Terrible experience!
Nice place with good food and great setting. A bit on the pricey side but worth it
So I would have to say that the food is horrible!!! It was a Birthday and not even the server could acknowledge the Birthday girl. Arroz Chaufa was disgusting!!! Steak empanadas, gross. Pretty much everything we ordered was nasty. And to top it off when they brought the oysters they spilled oysters juice on one of the guests. Never going back and will definitely not recommend anyone to go!
We spent long periods of time waiting to at least make eye contact with the staff to take our order or to ask for additional things. The food is good but bebcareful
We apologize about your experience and service not being up to our standard. We would love to see you again soon and ensure that you are able to experience great service and attention to detail. If and when you do return please reach out directly to mcoletta@amaraatparaiso. so that I can ensure you have a better experience. Once again my sincere apologies, Mariana
Worst experience I’ve had in a restaurant ever.
Mariana (manager) was the most unprofessional and rude server I have ever encountered.
I decided to go even though I read many bad comments about the service in this restaurant, and definitely they were right and I made the worst decision ever.
The server when they put the food on the table they didn’t even ask who was the dish for, they just put it in the middle of the table for ppl to grab it. The AC was leaking and the table and floor were all wet and even though they didn’t even try to accommodate us.
At the end of the night (we were 2 tables of 6 people each) we asked for the check and the server told us that it was not possible to split it because of the tip. I went to ask the manager how that would be possible and she said those instructions were on the menu (most absurd thing ever) and of curse it was not.
When she saw herself with no options, because all the problem was that they didn’t know how to do it (reason why every single staff of the restaurant passed by the registered to help her out plus they took like half and hour to give us the checks) she started arguing with me like child without taking into account that I was a customer.
In summary, if you want to have a good time you definitely shouldn’t go to this restaurant where neither the food nor the service is good.
I never give bad reviews. This is my first genuine negative experience where EVERYTHING was bad. The service, the cocktails and the food-terrible. The only thing positive is the view, and certainly it is not worth the horrible experience or the price point. I’m not sure if it was an off night. This restaurant was recommended by family, so this really took us off guard. It’s a shame, we hadn’t gone out in a while due the pandemic, and we were celebrating. Our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Honestly, our first thought was that this was a prank, and that we were being filmed for a comedy or candid camera show.
Awesome place, staff was excellent, food was perfect, great atmosphere and view. Will definitely come back.
We hope to see you soon! Thank you for your review!
Best Servers EVER
It has been years since I have experienced such polite, attentive, and knowledgable servers. They knew everything on the menu, exactly how it was prepared, and got all orders perfect.
Love the restaurant, food and atmosphere. But me and my husband had a reservation and when we got there we found out that the hostess gave our table away, we had to wait for a new table for another 15-20 min. Not professional
The receptionist told my friend she looked pregnant by saying congrats and then feeling so embarrassed and then said she would give us something nice to make it up and never did.
Friendly and nice staff. Wonderful hostess. Great food and spectacular views.
Warning, at 9:45 u are basically thrown out of the restaurant. To make matters worse if u valet parked your car u can wait 30 minutes because the lady at the valet station had no idea what she was doing. Kinda of ruined a nice evening
We sincerely apologize due to Miami Dade curfew we are forced to close at that time. Luckily starting Monday 9/14/20 curfew will be extended one extra hour to 11pm. Hope to see you return!
The waitress was great. We sat outside until the rain came. But was very nice. The food was good and delicious. Some of the plates temperature where not hot enough. But overall is it was great. Would go back for sure.
Excellent service, beautiful restaurant and view and the food was delicious! Went for our Anniversary and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend!!!
Thank you for your review and for choosing to celebrate such a special day with us! Hope have you back soon!
Food was prepared very well. The flavors were good. Everything was pleasing but nothing was extraordinary.
The design of this restaurant is superb, and its location is perfect. The best compliment that I can provide is not only saying that I would return, but to mention that I have returned numerous times.
We were very desapointed. Just moved to Parayso Bay and we were anxious to celebrate at "the famous Amara". We got there at 8:00 as per our reservation.
We had the menus and asked for drinks.
After more than 45 minutes our server came to our table and said that the kitchen was going to close soon. We asked for appetizer that never came. Finally the main corses were served, the fish was overcooked and the chicken was blend.
And then came the bill including the appetizers that never were served.
Very bad experience.
Enjoyed the most delicious fresh food al fresco. They did a wonderful job of having covid safety measures.
Thank you for your review during these unprecedented times! Our priority is always the safety of our guests and employees.
It was good ambiance, food was good. We had to cancel one of the plates becomes it was taking a lot of time.
For starters we ordered oysters and some drinks. The drinks are on tap (pre-made) and just really watered down... oysters were really tiny. Then we ordered the yuca puffs which were amazing! I thought the octopus portion was rather small and it was pretty charred. The red snapper fillet with a corn salad was great with a side of asparagus with yogurt dressing. Overall, I believe you are paying the price of the location (water views) but the food is not really worth the expensive prices.
Service and food was great. Staff was extremely friendly. Thank you!
First off, our food was undercooked and I was sick the next day!
This place has been hit or miss for us. After dining here several times, we have had mixed results. Our visit last night will likely be our last. After waiting 25 minutes for our table, which we had a reservation for, we were sat at a table between the door to the patio and the server station. It looked as if it was just placed there to accommodate us last minute. There was barely any room to sit. Along with the crappy table location, our server was indifferent and didn't know the menu. My wife ordered the hanger steak, medium rare, which came out beyond rare. I ordered the chicken, which also had the texture of being undercooked. Turns out that after getting sick, my chicken was indeed undercooked. The only reason for giving this place 2 stars is that we have have a couple of good experiences prior, but this last experience, along with a few other mediocre experiences, has convinced us we will not be returning.
Had an amazing birthday here! Wish I would have gone earlier because they closed the bar pretty early due to covid and we wanted another round :)
Thank you for your review Vivian! Unfortunately due to curfew implemented in Miami Dade we are forced to close that early, but thankfully starting Monday 9/14 it will be extended one more hour till 11pm. See you soon so you can enjoy that extra round of drinks!
