We have been many times to Amara and what disappointed us this time especially when we brought a guest was
1. we had to ask for the tables to be cleaned off and
2. during the middle of our dinner one of the workers literally walked through the central dining Room with 2 large black garbage cans. The message here is better training of staff. Also when you order a $27 glass of wine one would expect a more generous pour, beyond 5 oz. Just not good business or good will to build.

Our server seem to be in a hurry to work with us. The food was very average to pour. We ordered the octopus appetizer and the octopus was very mushy and not well prepared. We also had a grilled shrimp appetizer which was good, and our entrée was Cobia wrapped in a banana leaf. It was a tiny piece of cobia and completely overcooked and dry. We both had been there a half a dozen times prior and gotten decent food and service, but we will not go back.

This is the second time in a row that I go to Amara and the service was horrible. Waiter was looking to the side when pouring water in my glass and poured it on me. Food was cold when delivered. They did not have the wine I ordered, manager came over and suggested another bottle and said it cost the same as the one I ordered. Ended up costing $20 more.
Horrible and very overpriced. I will not be returning or sending Corporate guest to this restaurant again.

La atención de la moza y del valet parking fue mala . Tuve que dejar el auto a 5 cuadras porque me dijeron que me arreglé solo por no tener lugar. A secas.

The food was very good but my dining companion and I always felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant. The staff lacked the charm or grace that one would expect from a restaurant of this price-point.

The view is spectacular. The food was delicious (with the exception of the ceviche which we had to return because it was too salty-& we were not charged). Our server was very nice but invisible. We always were looking for our server - no where to be found! We always had to ask for server! That shouldn’t happen in a restaurant of this caliber. To be fair, I don’t want a server breathing down our necks. I do expect them to stay on top of the table, check on refills, make sure orders are delivered to table, etc - Basics in my book. Maybe the restaurant was slammed with too many customers and not enough servers but as a customer, not my concern. It’s a beautiful restaurant. Love the menu and food was great. Will return & hopefully service will be better or won’t be back!

Ordered the lobster, they said it was 1.5 lbs, thought we could share it. The 1.5 lbs was with the shell, more like 0.5 lbs.

Just a single complaint. My husband had CO is and it was a
bit too spicy. I had the steak and found it too spicy also.
Otherwise all was excellent.

In our account was added an unsolicited soda and although we complained the waitress insisted on charging.

I have been to Amara for brunch, lunch and dinner and every time it excels. This is without a doubt one of my favorite culinary venues in Miami- the ambience, the view, the food, the libations, and the service make it a perfect blend.

Great food! Terrible service! They ignore us for a while, until we asked for the manager. They gave us some discounts to make for about our insatisfaction. Still, think twice before going! Greatest food in Miami, most terrible service!

Great place to grab a drink and some appetizers. Our waiter and servers were very nice however it looked like they were very understaffed and the waiter in particular hardly came to talk to us or ask if we needed anything.

We were seated a half hour after our reservation time, we had to seek out the hostess to get our order taken as a waiter never made it to our table, and one of our entrees took so long to come out that we gave up and asked for the check without receiving it.

View are amazing and that matches the food. There were dishes that we had that were really original that you will not find on any other menu. Try the Gluten Free Cheese Puffs and Empandas for a unique and delicious experience. The service did not match the food unfortunately, service was spotty. I’d still go back for those cheese puffs....

The evening started with appetizers yuca cheese puffs, grouper ceviche and the short rib empanada. Ordered a bottle of wine recommended by sommelier was excellent but the scotch-ordered took way too long, had to ask several times for the drink.

We ordered the 32 oz rib eye and the tomahawk-pork chop along with cilantro rice and charred escarole, everything was brought out nicely and cleared but towards the end when ordered coffee decaf and ice tea along with dessert our server disappeared and we had to ask the manager to please find him and our check. When check came they had charged for the ice tea that never came.

That ruined the experience that up to then was meeting expectations at the prices paid one expects the service to be stellar.

Very pretty place. A bit of a wait to get seated and service was very slow but we enjoyed the food. They also had a good selection of excellent wines by the glass. The steak was delicious and seasoned very well.

Wonderful space. Indoors and out. Food is excellent, service is great. Standouts this time. Cheese puffs. Pork tomahawk (however I think it should be carved at the table) but excellent. Whole fish and escarole salad. Dessert try the coconut layer cake. Yummy. Will return to try more of the menu.
