Arrived early for our reservation. Staff greeted us warmly, checked us in early, guided us to the outside bar which was lovely. Once we were seated our service was amazing. Beautiful experience.
Awesome , definitely will be back
Brunch, innovative dishes, great presentation, service and the view
After receiving our appetizers, which were delicious, we waited an HOUR for a chopped salad with chorizo and avocado. Restaurant was not very busy and the waitress though mildly apologetic was thoroughly unconcerned.
The service and food weren’t great today.
this restaurant had delicious homemade food with beautiful ingredients. All was delicious. Had large gap between appetizer and dinner that was quite long temporally. Great wine list. Also had odd seating without candles outside with some tables down the street almost by alley/parking lot with people eating in the dark and reading menus with their phone-really? I would definitely go back but those two things were a surprise.
The food was great. Reasonable wine options are intermixed with rarer and priced options. Oysters were fresh, salty and smooth. The meal was tapas style, we had a slew of these with a couple rock crab claws and were satisfied. The atmosphere was great, we dined outside with the waterfront view. The weak link was the service. Our server had a terrific mustache but he apparently was busy waxing it all night because we rarely saw him.
Prix-fixed lunch. Excellent value
Service was a little slow but very nice server, food was delicious. Valet parking was not found at lunch time and parking is very limited street parking.
I am a regular there have been many times before, this time we ordered that slices steak to be medium but we received it super bloody barely blue and chewy was not impressed at all and we barely ate 2 slices of it and didn't touch the rest.
Great Food, great ambience. But this time service was really slow and the restaurant was have empty. Our server disappeared several times. We ask for a piece of bread with the appetizers and the bread came out after the appetizers. :(
At first waiter was a bit course with us as we had not yet decided our meal but it got better. Ambiance and food is why you go!
Beautiful waterfront setting; beach party music was way too loud; generally very good food but smallish portions and overpriced
Everything was fantastic but service was s little slow
Went to Amara for Sunday Brunch and had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely fresh and delicious. The restaurant setting is spectacular especially for outdoor seating on these lovely sunny yet cooler days of January. Service, as always, on point, professional and friendly. Very recommended!!!
We got there early for our reservation and sat at bar. Xavier the bartender was amazing. We had a blast watching his mixologist talent. We had the seafood platter at the bar while we waited for our table and to be honest could have stayed at the bar all night. The food is amazing. Definitely returning again.
Our third visit. We really enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and had outstanding service from Natalia.
The whole roasted snapper was superb...the BEST whole roasted fish we’ve had. Not only was the texture perfect, but we loved the citrus flavoring. We’ve had fish prepared like this before but it is usually on the bland side as far as seasoning or flavoring. This version was full of flavor.
The entire staff was very courteous and helpful to us. Natalia was very efficient and kind. She has a great smile and attitude towards service and we really enjoyed our evening.
Just love it...!
All great. Only thing to improve the drinks
When we make our reservation at Amara we can’t wait to see and taste our treats to come...Amara did not disappoint..we decided to share all the delights..we started with a fresh salad enough for three..dressing was so bright..we then had pork collar..just little bite since our seafood platter was to come..this platter was sublime..paired with appropriate sauces..we shared..topped it with a coconut layer cake..will be back
Nice staff, yet not super attentive. The yuca puffs were gooey, the grilled shrimp (think they brought prawns instead) were spicier than the level they warned about. Stone crab were $22 each and supposed to be large, but they were incredibly small. The sweet potato was the best part of the meal. The flan was the worst flan I’ve ever had- it was also gooey and turned to mush with no “flan” consistency. We did not try any of the meat dishes or the whole fish which is my favorite at Michael’s Genuine, so I might go back to try that, but overall, the food was not impressive.
I loved it. Thanks so much
My wife and I were visiting from Boston and lined up a dinner reservation at Amara as a night out without our kids on the waterfront. The meal was fantastic. Ed was a kind and genuine server, the sommelier was knowledgable and honest and the view was spectacular on the water. They were successful at converting my wife into a chorizo lover! It was a great night out!
Wonderful, creative menu and food. Great waitstaff. Exquisite views.
Lovely place! Excellent food, excellent decor. I will def come again!
Great brunch, could improve on organization. Loved the ambience, view, and people watching. Food was extremely fresh and tasty, menu diverse in offerings, I had 3 cocktails - 2 were perfect, 1 was ok. Server was friendly, accommodating, concerned, but I think the overall management of the timing of the food, drinks, and cart were way off. Hostess did not even mention that we could wait outside and have a drink in the beautiful outdoor space, so we were all crammed into a very busy and crowded bar area (with 2 children!) The price points were great in light of the trendiness factor. Would definitely recommend for brunch and for locals wanting to impress out-of-town guests.
Went as a birthday date with my mom and had a great time, the food was incredibly tasty and our server was very patient and helpful, plus the view here is outstanding. Will definitely be back!
Place is beautiful and the view is spectacular. The food was very good but only a couple of dishes really stood out to us: the yucas, ribs and short rib, everything else was good but nothing crazy.
Would def come back.
The restaurant did not wow me. On the plus side, The service is great and all staff are super friendly.
Great setting. Great service and lovely food! Will be back
Upon arrival, we were seated promptly outside as requested. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food arrived quickly, yet the taste on all dishes remained exceptional. Overall, a great dining experience that left us wanting to return in the near future.
Outstanding. I highly recommend
My favorite place in Miami!
ALWAYS AMAZING IN EVERY WAY !!!
Loved it! Would definitely go back. Can’t beat the food or the view!
We had a lovely evening - started with drinks on the terrace for watching the sunset and moved to table. Drinks and food were really good and the ambience was excellent.
Would definitely recommend.
The food was very good. The decor and location are very good...The volume of the background music was too high.
The wait to get seated outside can last an hour but totally worth it
Another terrific Michael Schwartz restaurant! Paraiso is also a cool new area with the new condos and renovations happening there.
