Very nice ambiance. The service and prices were great. However, we had hoped the pizza would be less soggy than the actual dough was. But all in all a nice experience. I would order pasta next time.
Difficulty getting seated with ignorant hostess indirectly accusing us of looking to steal a reservation. Server was incredibly slow and forced to tip at least 17% at establishment. Prepare for poor service......servers get paid regardless. Food was below average. Wanna be Italian restaurant. Glorified pizza parlor.
Delish! The sauce, the cheese, the dough were all exactly what I wanted and needed. Chewy, savory yet light and overall delicious.
The food was very bland and the waiter only came to take our order and give us a drink, she did not come back at all during the meal for checkup, she only came back when it was time to pay. I’d get dominos over eating at this place
Space/architecture was cool, good lcoation. Service and food was BAD
Pizza was good.. service was terrible. Why do you force a tip percentage? Why dont you allow the customer to tip according to service?
We went early on a Friday night before a concert. It was not very crowded so even though we were late to our reservation it was not a problem. They were able to answer ingredient questions for us since we had someone with specific food allergies. Everything came out quickly and tasted great.
I love Amalfi and the service is always excellent!
Food was fantastic and the service was outstanding!!
The service always seems to be lackluster whenever I go. Having to track down our server a couple different times when we hadn’t seen him for about 10 minutes. I hate to say it, but the last time I came here, I was actually the victim of fraud perpetrated by a server who added 30 bucks to my bill even after I tipped him well for crappy service. I figured I’d give the place another try (and entirely forgot that the manager had offered a free meal a year ago) to make up for the “indescretion” by the last server. I understand that restaurants can’t always control the actions of their employees, but they can demand a higher level of service. Will D. Food was super late, disgusting, and they told us the pizzas would be free because we waited over an hour for them. But when the bill came only one of the three pizzas was free. Service was terrible. We only got a water refill once in the 2 hours we were there.
Food:
Average pizza considering it is a speciality pizza place. The toppings were unevenly spread and the taste was lacking. Tiramisu is amazing though.
Service:
Very poor. It wasn't crowded and I had the reservation yet it took them to seat me and then another 10 minutes for the server to just bring water. It was very poor in terms of what I expected from such a decently priced place
Great setting - probably even better with a dinner ambiance!
Excellent food and service. Prices are below what you would expect from a restaurant or this class. In the area it is definitely worth trying. Pizza and Calzones are fantastic.
Excellent food except arancini but will be back when in Atlanta. I felt like being in italy
2nd time dining at this restaurant. Lovely interior and love the open kitchen. Only negatives: reservation was at 12p and I had to call them to ask why doors weren’t open, so they didn’t open gates until a bit later than opening. Also, our waiter cut our pizza without gloves. Not a huge deal, but knowing her hands weren’t covered bothered me as it grazed the pizzas.
Pizza is amazing! Perfect flavors, no greasy feeling or smell! Definitely will be returning for more.
It's a good restaurant. I went at 9pm, and they got me in relatively quickly, though they were a little disorganized in getting people seated (and one of the hostess was busy talking with a friend/customer while people were waiting to ask for a table). Waitress was very good, prompt, knew the menu well. The food is good quality - you can tell it's fresh and they put in the effort. I got the baked gnocchi appetizer - it was warm and the gnocchi were very fluffy, but some spots of the cheese were still cold, which was weird. The pizza was good. The only thing, and this might be me, is that everything is very creamy with their housemade ricotta. It's well-made, but it diluted the flavor of everything, so all the food seemed underseasoned. A little more acid or basil would probably have balanced it out. Worth trying, but also a little pricey (gnocchi, pizza and a beer $32).
I am from Chicago and we have a few great Neapolitan pizza places. I was shocked to find this place in Atlanta and loved the story of how the business started. Sure wish I visited Atlanta more so I could eat her more.
We had a big party for lunch on Saturday. We walked in and our table was ready for us. The server was polite and efficient. The food was great. The pizzas are made fresh! I would definitely recommend Amalfi for a fab lunch!
We enjoyed our experience. We should have shared a pizza.
The food and ambiance were great. We got terrible service from someone who clearly did not want to be there. We were planning on more rounds of drinks and desserts, but were presented with a check without asking if we wanted either. We decided since the service had been so lackluster to just go ahead and pay and leave rather than order anything further.
Holy cow, Ya'll. THESE poor folks. Ok, Ok, it was Sunday of DragonCon with 85K in attendance and you KNOW every restaurant is absolutely slammed, right? At some point during the day, Amalfi had some kind of computer/internet/something outage and were well and truly stuck, because they are a card only operation near as I can tell. So comes the appointed time of my reservation (for 8) and this poor kid was trying to tell us that the place was closed and I'm mildly freaked because it is impossible to get a table anywhere near the con on short notice. We went on in, and somehow, someone got the computers up and rolling and we were able to enjoy a very merry dinner. Never once did any of the employees lose their composure or their smiles. I could tell they were stressed to the gills, but nary a one took it out on us. The food was very good and the price was fair and I am SO GOING BACK NEXT YEAR. Well done, I say!
The venue is great - has an old warehouse feel. The pizzas were excellent and I thought they were a good value for the price. We visited during the middle of Dragcon, so the place was very crowded but we still had great service. Would recommend.
Excellent food. Nice place. Great service
A lively space with a great atmosphere. If I wanted a place to chill and drink I could see choosing this place. Food did not impress, don’t intend to eat here again.
Having a reservation apparently didn’t help as they kept us waiting while seating walk ins. Food was overpriced. Staff seemed inconvenienced.
Loved it! Cannoli was great!
Terrible service and smelled like cigar smoke
Amalfi pizza had very little meat. Food was no better than average. Not a place I would recommend or return to.
Had pasta and I was delicious. The meatballs were quite tasty. Will definitely go back to try the pizza.
Food was excellent. The Margherita Pizza is just like they make in Naples. It reminded of my last trip to Italy last year
The food was a little pricey for what you get. $13 for calamari is way to expensive. & The pizza is $13 but it’s huge. Overall, it was a good lunch. You can receive a 20% coupon by checking in on the yelp app
Although the service was really well, the food turn out was not so pleasant. I ordered a margarita pizza stuffed, but instead received the lower value one. The waitress apologized heavily and said the mistaken order was on the house. Overall I’d rate it a 6/10.
I come here every time I visit Atlanta! Best spot!
The food was fabulous, and our server, CeCe, was very knowledgeable!
The service and manager were fabulous! I've been there several times and the food was just average and I was disappointed in the paper napkins. It just seemed like the restaurant was not as nice, overall, than what it has been in the past.
The waitress seemed to be in a hurry, bringing the pizza while I was still working on my appetizer, asking if I wanted another beer while I was just finishing my first and bringing the bill before I even could have decided on taking a dessert or not.
Visited Amalfi with my boyfriend after finding out it was a short walk from our hotel. The pictures looked delicious of the pizza! However, the one downside to our experience was having to wait an hour for two pizzas because the server forgot to put our order in or it got lost? It was not a crowded hour something must of happened. Once the pizzas came, it was super yummy. Plus, they gave us drinks on the house for the wait. Atmosphere was lovely.
Food was fantastic and it was nice to see every staff member hustling to assist the tables, including MGMT!!!
