Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. The 170 seat dining room also has large semicircular booths, custom wrought iron chandeliers along with Juliet balconies overlooking an Italian-inspired entryway. Great wait service/personality, slow bar service. Pizzas quicker to table than we anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. Ambiance 10/10. Reasonable prices. Great date spot. Pizza was a little bland but overall a satisfying experience.

The Pizza Amalfi was my favorite. It smelled slightly of smoke when we walked in, and didn’t have the alluring Italian food smell in the restaurant when we walked in. The smell of a restaurant when you walk in is important for me. Calamari was good, we were satisfied overall.

This is a very inviting space, well decorated. The service was very good, food was great. I had the lobster ravioli which I loved. My guest had a pizza and loved it. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area. .

Visited Amalfi Cucina for the first time this week. The entry way is lovely like entering a restaurant at Disney world (Magical). Nice ambience in the restaurant. The music is a little loud due to the high ceilings. The food was wonderful. I had a pasta dish with spinach and shrimp was to die for and I don’t eat a lot of pasta! Others in my party had pizza and shrimp Gnoochi that they also enjoyed. Service was generally good. We were celebrating my birthday but there was no special dessert of anything which was a little disappointing but overall a nice evening and we will probably go back.

Disaster of an experience--would highly recommend spending your dining dollars elsewhere. Party of 6 there on a Tuesday night, 6:15 reservation. The best part of the evening was our server, Amanda. The problem was truly with the kitchen and Amalfi's inability to manage the seated capacity. Waited over an hour for 3 pizzas and one pasta dish. One of the pizzas delivered cold and rather undercooked--sent back and was told it would take another hour to do a replacement. SERIOUSLY! You are a wood-fired pizza kitchen!! Poor Amanda indicated they were short staffed. If that is the case, DON'T KEEP SEATING PEOPLE!!! Food quality not worth the price.

First time eating at this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere. The food was great and prices were very fair in my opinion. Our reservation was for 6:15. I was at host at 6:16 and we were sat within a few minutes. It was Prom and very busy and I was thankful for the reservation option.

The food was amazing and fresh. I oder the aragota ravioli and it’s was delicious. For drinks I have the Blueberry martini with strawberries and it was super good if you like fruti drinks. Definitely coming back when in Atlanta I really recommend it.

Can’t give a genuine critique. Over the phone, we were promised that any pizza and pasta dish could be made nut/gluten free (besides the gnocchi pesto). In person, it changed to only a penne dish. If you have allergens, look elsewhere. Not a good menu. No processes in place. That said, the ambience is great (besides the sushi chefs plowing through the restaurant)

Had dinner at Amalfi Cucina and it was just okay. The spaghetti and meatballs weren't a hit with my guest and the Bolognese sauce was great but the pappardelle pasta was inconsistent and some clumped together. The antipasto was great. The service was excellent. Not sure if I would go back - wasn't overly impressed.

Ambience inside and outside was gorgeous! Food was okay, the pasta were not al dente as it should be, but the pasta sauce (Marinara sauce) was delicious. Our server, Mabel did not really give us much attention and was not really friendly.

We went after a volleyball tournament. None of our food came out at the same time. Some dishes 15 minutes after another. Gelato was served melted. When the bill came, an expensive meal I hadn’t ordered was on it. The food was tasty, but service left plenty to be desired.
