    It was OK. May in NYC & it was way to warm on the roof & the fans did little to make it cooler. Portions are ridiculously small for the cost.

    We were running late to brunch and they were so accommodating. Our waitress was Kathyrn and she was fantastic and was so welcoming and attentive!

    It looked so beautiful and we were so excited but we got sat over half an hour after our reservation time so we didn’t sit until around 9pm. It then took someone 25 minutes to come to our table to even order drinks and by the time he came he was so incredibly rude, barely gave us the time to order after waiting for so long, and was not kind about our questions. The food came out very fast but they sent out the main dishes before we got any appetizers and it was a mess. Food was pretty good, the service ruined it though.

    It’s inside a glass rooftop so it’s incredibly hot, at least 85 degrees on a 70 degree day. We left only a few minutes after sitting down, and noticed many people doing the same. No air conditioning so I have no clue how they’ll operate in the summer.

    Food, service and ambience all are very appealing. Plus they offer yummy limoncello based cocktail. But it’s a very loud place and it’s not as conducive to conversation. It’s fun for sure but looks more like a bar scene than a restaurant. When we were there, the retractable roof wasn’t working and there was no ac. The fans were ok but it was hot! I liked the market on the ground floor better where you can also have a bite and a drink after a long day at work or sightseeing.

    Overall barely gets two stars. It was hot as hell upstairs and it wasn’t even summer. The food was not bad but nothing special. I think you can get better Italian food at a regular NY deli. And more portions. The waiter was a little spacey. He brought out a main dish before the anti pasta. And the little pizza bites had a smudge of sauce with a dusting of parmesan cheese. Just disappointed since it was a special occasion. Was really looking forward to it. Not looking to try the other Eataly places anymore.
