I like Amada. However the fish was over cooked. The olives are tiny and can’t be picked. The crème brûlée was very tasty but very tiny. The octopus was over cooked and leathery. The shrimp was really good. The scallops was great. Wish they improved their cooking times. And their sourcing of olives. Get big Olives we can actually enjoy.
My food was excellent. The sangria was delicious and potent, we enjoyed it.
An enjoyable evening amoung friends. Restaurant was moderately busy. We were seated rapidly upon arrival, staff and service was friendly and attentive.
Dishes were served at an even pace throughout the evening. Tapas were of reasonable portions.
Dishes were generally authentic, with a few departures.
Amada has never disappointed. Food was delicious as was the Sangria. Just the right proportions for tapas.
Great service, excellent food. Chairs are low for the tables and bar which was okay, but dulled the experience.
Staff was very accommodating. We were a large group and they were able to put us in a large table in a great seating area. Ample room. Drinks were excellent and the bar was lively. Menu was tapas and most were very good. Try the entrecote.
one of my favorite places to eat in the city! best food ever. great drinks and overall just a great time for a date or going with friends.
All in all, just OK, not near as good as the AC location, not even close. Ambience similar to most nicer restaurants in Philly. Won’t go back to this location, the one in AC, however, sure will.
Food was great and waiter was great with recommendations. Will come back!
Please bring the Vinho Verde from Portugal you guys had in stock back….really missing that.
Otherwise, great experience!
Sunday Brunch tapas and drinks were delicious and great value for money.
Gave us the wrong food three times
No avocado in an avocado salad
Mandatory cake cutting and plating fee $30
We brought our own plastic knife but they insisted that the birthday cake has to be taken to the kitchen and cut by the chef there.
They charged $5 for each person for the mandatory cake cutting service.
Worse experience ever.
We were greeted by the very friendly hostess. At first, our waiter seemed to be rushing us but got the message that we needed time to look over the wine list. He was helpful in helping us make selections. Food was fantastic , especially the tapas. The wine list was extensive . We were happy to see that Amada is still as good as ever.
Once again the staff and the food at Amada did not let us down! Always love the extensive selection of Spanish reds and tapas that literally blow your mind. I can't say enough about the staff and how courteous and accommodating they are! Perfect place for a date night or just hang out with your friends and great food
Arrived at 8:10 for an 8:15 reservation. Was directed to wait at the bar until our table was ready. Left at 8:55 when our table still wasn't available. Walked down the street to Buddakan and we were seated immediately (with no reservation).
This was my second time dining with Amada and it was nothing short of amazing. Food and service was incredible both times, the gentleman we were greeted by at the friend door was extremely friendly I can’t remember his name unfortunately but he made our experience that much more enjoyable. Will be coming back, perfect place for an intimate date night or catching up with a friend.
One of the dishes (the duck salad) was too spicy for my spice loving friend to finish. The waiter was terrific!
Disappointing! We have always loved Amada, one of our all time favorites. Food was good but not as good from our previous visits. We were a party of six, the room was crowded but this should not have contributed to the poor service that we had received.
Amada has placed a high standard on itself over the many years she has pleased Philadelphians and visitors to our city. Perhaps, this was just an off night for a restaurant that we truly have loved.
Great restaurant except the table adjacent to us was so loud we had to leave. Had it been a manageable level of noise, we would have stayed and had more to eat and/ or dessert. Instead we left upset.
Visited to celebrate our anniversary.
Enjoyed the food. We would have ordered more food and drink but didn’t see our waiter much from the time we got there to the time we left.
Good food and great brunch deal. Would love to come back for dinner.
Always a pleasure, Amada is a consistent experience. Until recently for some reason I never thought of it as a brunch destination, but the brunch is quite good and something a little different. The crab benedict was great. Well done as always. Try the tasting menu.
Great meal and service!
Delicious food, such great service, great evening!
Went to Amada for my husband’s birthday and they gave us a free dessert with cava - yum! We appreciated that! While the meal was great, it was quite pricey for the size of the tapas. Better to go during happy hour when the prices are more in line. Overall, still a great restaurant.
Amanda Brought back many memories in my time in Madrid.
The food was excellent and the service was even better.I would definitely recommend this restaurant
Food was somewhat good but not authentic. The service was bad, they would take an eternity to bring the food and attend us. We spent 2 hours there when we could have eaten in 40min. The place was so loud and the seating was bad too. The table was so small, we could barely put the plates on it. It was my friend’s birthday celebration and she’s from Spain, we all got so disappointed and I felt bad for bringing her there.
Brunch was excellent! We loved the toasts, the dates, the ham croquettes, garlic shrimp and the lamb! Server was friendly.
Truly excellent food and service. Creative, fresh and well-prepared. A little noisy, far too expensive and ambiance is nothing special. But would return again and again for the food.
Leilani was our server and she was wonderful! The food was excellent - authentic flavors with unique presentations. Will be returning next time in Philly.
Asked for quiet table apart from others- perfect seating !
Food was very good though snapper portion was a bit small. Service was sketchy- waited well into meal for wine to arrive.
Overall a special occasion restaurant we enjoyed
food was delicious and service was great! I can't wait to go again
Wait staff was helpful and pleasant. The skirt steak was perfectly rare and the flavoring was deep and earthy from the cheese. Sugarsnap peas were amazing, recommended by the waiter and definitely a win.
Amada takes brunch to another level. Simple foods done perfectly.
Great food and relaxing atmosphere
We had a fantastic first time here. Our server Leilani was so great! The food was incredible. Will definitely be returning.
Got there for happy hour and enjoyed just about every tapa and drink on the happy hour menu. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town!
Had an excellent experience at Amada, as always. The wine selection pairs very well with the menu items. The tapas are delicious and they provide great portions.
We had such a relaxing and enjoyable night out for my birthday. The tapas and vino special on Sunday’s is a great deal and awesome way to taste the menu, and wines at half price!
Second time eating here. We were a little disappointed that the menu was a brunch one and that not all the tapas was available. I found the rate that the food came out to be a little slow and it made me feel that this wasn’t a very relaxing lunch experience. The tapas that was available was very good. The brunch item French toast wasn’t the best and I don’t know why they were offering it really. Might be better to stick with what you know. However we do like this place and definitely would go again and recommend it for the tapas.
