Our server recommended some dishes, which were perfect
Super cute place with v salty dishes and lackluster service. Would not recommend.
Overpriced for quality, quantity of food and service. That’s pretty much sums it up. Service is disjointed, slow. Many better options in Philly. Underwhelmed by the whole experience. Haven’t been in a while but that’s exactly how I remember it from last visit.
We had a very nice meal at a high top table near the bar. Every dish was prepared very well and was delicious. Only dish that disappointed was the octopus which was chewy. Drinks and service were excellent.
Thanks to Joe and the Amada staff! Great food, great staff and a really good vibe! Perfect! Thank you!
We ended up asking to eat outside in doing so I think we lost the full experience of Amada. The interior is cool and has a good ambience. Outside you are right on a busy street and there was someone standing on the street corner screaming (and apparently she is a common fixture there). The food was very good as was the service. I would eat there again but only inside.
Absolutely delicious food - not large portions but you pay for the flavor !
The best and favorite place to dine in Philadelphia
Delicious food and fantastic service!!
If you have never been here, you need to go. It’s delish.
Love the brunch
Went for my husbands birthday. The food service was fast, but our waitress wasn’t very attentive in checking in or drink refills. Food was amazing though - did the chef tasting. 😍
Good food and good service. They only tow things trouble me, one is AC seems not working, another one is there were two flies around the table.
The food was as good as ever but I was saddened by the disrepair of the restaurant. The bench seat at our table had a VERY LARGE tear in the leathery fabric as did the bench across from us. I am not talking a little wear but a gaping hole at least 10” in length. We were a party of three so I refused to sit at that end and the host didn’t react at all to my objection. If we had been four we would have refused that table. A visit to the ladies room was equally disappointing. The painted plywood partitions were rough and chipped. Defunct sliding bolt closures dangled on the doors. The current closure devices were hook and eye closures that have pulled out and replaced multiple times. The first stall I went in the toiled was clogged. Second one no paper. Third one when I closed the door the off kilter door with hook and eye closure left about a 2 inch gap. There are no paper towels only blowers which have their own problems and not very sanitary.
It’s a shame. This has been a lovely restaurant and we’ve had great meals. But when paying for fine dining I think torn benches and restrooms as I found them to cause me to reconsider.
Having had real tapas in Spain and even at some other great spots here in the states, we were really disappointed in the flavor of food here. Garlic was overpowering in shrimp (we couldn’t even finish the dish) and I’ve made a Spanish omelette at home better than the mushy omelette that was plated here. Dates were delicious and patatas bravas were just ok. A hit in 1 out of 4 items not very impressive. We didn’t order anything more beyond appetizers after such a disappointing start.
The duck confit paella was unbelievable. It should be a menu item.
My husband and I went to Amada for brunch yesterday and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed brunch cocktails and the Combo (duck confit). It was all amazing and super flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back for sure!
The food was the best part of the restaurant, the service not so much. We had reserved a table at 9:15 and did not get our reserved table until 9:45 very unprofessional.
We ate at the bar as the atmosphere was perfect. The staff was very friendly and informative. Great experience!
Everything was great just wasn’t in love with the server or the Octupus dish we got. It was a little rubbery for me. The gin cocktail that was 15 dollars was GIANT!!! Talk about bang for your buck! Will definitely go back soon and get the Crudo (bigeye tuna) again… it was spectacular!
Was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary with my husband, The food was Delicious , the service amazing ( they got us a cake with a candle for the celebration). don’t hesitate about that, it’s Perfect.
Excellent Tappas bar, good food and great sangria. Choose the chefs’ choice for your first time to get some experience. Great place to meet friends, not my everyday choice, but it is not super expensive either.
Everything was great… food, service, ambiance but the mixed drink was badly executed. How can you screw up a Manhattan!
Not as good as it was but still decent.
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Philadelphia. And the one of the best tapas restaurants I've been to. Great happy hour menu, lots of tapas options to choose from. Great selection of Spanish wines, and delicious craft cocktails (including red or white sangria). I pretty much had every tapas on the happy hour menu, plus the shrimp tapas from the main menu. I love a good gin and tonic. Amada has about 3 different kinds. They are all amazing! They use Fever Tree tonics. This makes all the difference in my book.
Come see for yourself. The decor, food, service and overall dining experience at Amada won't disappoint you.
Big thank you to our server, Ray! Fantastic job!!
Great meal every time!
unique dishes, good drinks, lively atmosphere, had a very pleasant server. A bit loud with tables too close.
We ordered every Tapa on the Menu and had an amazing time! The Chefs paced our food so well and the staff were on point! Will come again!
Had brunch on Saturday. Nice day at the restaurant. Shrimp app was delicious. The french toast was nice. The crab benedict didn't really have much crab. The cream puff dessert was dry and not very good.
Service was very slow, seems like they were very understaffed (like many places right now). Also, they got rid of our favorite thing on the menu - the goat cheese ensalada - so we were very disappointed. Everything else tasted as good as always, but still was a bit disappointed.
Seems like the menu is gravitating away from almost all tapas to a mix of fewer tapas and more entrees. They seem to have taken away a number of excellent classic Amada tapas dishes. Still, always good.
Amazing food and lovely serviceeee!!!
Has a fantastic vibe and fantastic menu - choosing our tapas options was very easy as everything sounded delicious. Nothing disappointed! Would definitely be back just to grab a drink at the bar - really cute space. Can't wait to go back!
They’re heavily short staffed. The server had multiple tables and the food took forever
Service was very good. Food was great. Highly recommended.
Food was phenomenal every dish was great
Fantastic experience, will definitely be returning.
Food ALWAYS superb
The food is GOOD! A bit on the pricy side, considering that a lot of what makes the tapas come out of a jar. But these people really know how to combine it all in a nice way, and they give one small tapa on the house. The Pulpo is exceptional. The wine list has good choices. The pork and beans is really filling, so don’t order too many tapas before that… a minor negative note was that we requested seating outdoors, and we were shown a table inside. I asked the hostess whether outdoor was an option, and she was a bit rude about it. The waitress was good though.
Service was on again off again. Some things came timely, others had to be asked for a second or third time. A promised comp for glitches didn’t happen.
