Some philly staples have fallen of their game, but not Amada. Great service along with fantastic dishes.
Our most recent experience was less outstanding than in the past. Portions seemed a tad smaller, we had trouble getting our water refilled, and we were less impressed by some of the same dishes than we had gotten in the past. Suspect that maybe Garces is less involved in day-to-day operations now with all the other issues going on? Would still recommend to others, though. Still an amazing restaurant.
Our wine was selection was the star of our dinner experience. As for the food, I remembered the food being a bit better years ago, i.e. octopus was not as salty and dried, grilled mushrooms had a crunch to it (and not sauteed-like texture), etc.
Everything was great! The food was delicious and the staff was awesome!
Such a great restaurant! It was very loud with a lot of big parties, but that did not put a damper on the experience. The food is amazing and we loved trying as many tapas as possible 😋
Amis is always a hit for me. I’ve been to Spain and the tapas and sangria brings back those Barcelona days. Our waiter was attentive and each course came right on time.
The food was absolutely delicious and our server was excellent. We had a wonderful time! My only complaint would be that it was very dark to the point of almost being difficult to see.
This was a Monday but still no excuse for poor dinners from this usually better option. We all got the chefs selection for dinner and the only meats were duck. Very odd and not too well prepared. I was not happy at all with the dinner this time.
Those lamb chops!!!
Amada is consistently excellent, and its Sunday evening tapas y vinos is an incredibly good value.
First time for brunch. I don’t think egg dishes lend themselves to sharing in the same way tapas lunch or dinner do. We opted to order a la carte rather than the prix fixe 3 course menu. So we each ordered an egg main dish and it was a full 8 minutes before the first and second meal delivery making an awkward delay for two people each having one dish. I know this is not Amadas style, dishes are delivered when ready. But I think the server should be sensitive when they see a twosome order this way, especially for brunch. The ability to bend policy and create a comfortable experience for all guests is the sign of a great restaurant.
Even though we had a reservation, we waited 20 minutes to be seated. The place is lovely and the food is good, but the menu is very confusing and the place is extremely loud. It's not clear that everything is a tapa, which is smaller sized. The wait for food was very long, and we received one dish about 10 minutes before the others.
We love Amada, have eaten there many times and will continue to do so. It’s one of our favorite Philly restaurants!
My wife and I had a table reserved but the table was running alittle bit later so we sat the bar and wound up just staying for dinner at the bar. Our bartender Zane took great care of us and we ended up having some good conversations with out neighbors. All the small plates we had were great and the chocolate on chocolate cream puffs were delicious. Zane served up a great Old Fashion, Beer selection and tequila drinks for the wife. We look forward to our next visit !
Great food, order a wide variety of things. Calamari plan ha were great. Mushrooms plan ha were also fabulous. Great potato Rosti
Too loud. Can’t hold a conversation. Wait staff barely comes around. Tapas too slow to come out. I’m accustomed to just leaving 20 % tip. In restrospect I would have left no more than 10%.
Drinks and food were amazing. What a wonderful dinner.
We’ve been to Amada many times. They never disappoint! The food, drinks, and service are consistently excellent. I can’t seem to pick a favorite dish ... everything we order is delicious.
Went out for birthday dinner. Was very good as always.
Went for dinner, enjoyed the food and service very well done.Edwin was our waiter and coursed the tapas perfectly .
Not as good as I remembered from many years ago when
I visited Philly but still good.
We have been to Amada many times and often sit in the bar. Having never brunched there we decided Sunday was the day. We have always experienced great food, tasty cocktails, and professional service but Sunday was different. Sunday was different because we had Zane as our server/bartender. Zane was AWESOME and made our experience delightful! Slyly charming, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly kind as he steered us to delicious food choices. The Reveulto, smoked salmon, and Torrijas were delicious! Did I mention that he has great hair?
We did brunch and it was delicious. The portions were huge and the sangria was delicious.
Go for the tasting menu! Progression of the meal was thoughtful and every course was delicious. Scallops, mushroom flatbread, and duck were our favorites!
Food was good overall. Everything was kind of salty. Waitress forgot to put in a side dish, when asked if it would be out soon, she said” hon mushrooms take longer then scallops. Unfortunately for her, she only received a standard 20% tip
My husband and I went on a double date here. We had a great time. Every plate we ordered was delicious and the service was outstanding. We would definitely come back.
My wife and I go there once a month and order our usual. Usually service is on point, however this time it was a B-, we felt we were rushed and wait staff forgot things.
Amada never disappoints. Food and knowledgeable staff make it an incredibly wonderful dinning experience.
Disappointing. Went before and was great.
Our first time there and the server did an excellent job of guiding us through the menu. We really enjoyed the whole experience.
Always a great meal. When ordering the small plates, e find it better to order as you go to have the meal spread out over time
Love this place. The food is terrific and something different. We always have a great meal.
Great atmosphere and food. Highly recommend.
They were incredibly nice and made my anniversary a great experience! Food was delicious!
Our favorite restaurant when visiting Philadelphia!
Really nice selection of Spanish tapas great sangria. Recommend
The hostess was terrible, but thankfully our server was great and the food was good.
Great food, service and ambiance! Please don’t change a thing.
A great meal in a great restaurant. One of the best
