Loved everything about Amada! The food, the wine, the cheese, the meat, the octopus (my favorite!!!) the lamb meatballs...everything!

Crazily overpriced. Examples: A bottle of beer $7.00...Six prawns $24.00. I have had Tapas in many places, and Amada prepares its food well, but the pricing is hallucinatory. Somebody is smoking the hemp.

Have eaten here several times when in Philadelphia on business, and it never disappoints. Unpretentious but the food is very high quality. Its a great place to come with a group; you can order lots of tapas and a paella. You all share the tapas while you wait for the paella which takes 35 min or so but is worth the wait (we had the chicken and chorizo one on this visit, and it was delicious!). Their Sangria is great, wines are also very good. My only complaint this time was that the seating at our table for six was two long benches, like a picnic table, three people on each side of the table, but the benches were unbelievably heavy and thus difficult to position/adjust! So it was a bit of a struggle as our group sat down, trying to get the benches positioned in the right spot so that everyone was comfortable. But once we were settled, very good time had by all, nice, attentive service.

Another wonderful experience at Amada! This is probably my fifth time there and it is always excellent. We ordered a selection of small plates to share and everything was delicious. Our cocktails were superb as well. The server was attentive without hovering. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and timed our food perfectly, bringing a few items at a time.
We certainly will be back!!

Sangria was delicious as always... food has been better. The garlic shrimp was extremely lemonly and the tortilla espanola was better forgotten. Unfortunately our waitress failed to mention that the kitchen was closing until we tried to order more food so I don't have much more to review. As this was a date night for us, that was highly disappointing.

We took my parents to Amada on Saturday night. We have been before and raved about it. It took a while to get drinks and even longer to get food. Tapas are OK when they come out of the kitchen continuously, but on Saturday we waited up to 30 minutes in between dishes. It was tough to get refills on drinks, and we didn't have any water at the table. They were very understaffed which affected the service :(

Overall, a great reminder of why we love Amada - creative, delicious food (and sangria!) and hip decor. Amada should consider installing noise treatments, since the ceilings are so high and the room relatively bare of tapestry to absorb the "energy" but that has nothing to do with the food or service which were both great. Our waiter could have been a little more attentive but we were not left wanting.

This was our fourth or fifth time at Amada, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I were looking to go somewhere a little less expensive, in all honesty, but when we saw there was an open reservation at Amada at the time we were looking for, we decided to splurge. You actually can eat at Amada fairly affordably, but we are always suckered in by the chef's tasting! Once again, it was amazing. The food and service were both spectacular. My only comment is that the dining room area tends to be pretty dark, darker than I prefer. But I am happy to bear with that to eat such great food! We look forward to going back.

Well we were expecting the suckling pig, but we're told that I had not ordered it in a timely fashion, even though I included a note when the reservations were made and called 4 days in advance. After speaking with a manager and he realizing it was their mistake we were given an adequate substitute of roasted pork and were not charged for it. All in all it was good, but it could have been great.

We have wanted to try Amada for a while. We decided to try it when we were going to be in Philly on our way to a presentation. We had a selection of tapas, all of which were excellent. The Spanish olive selection was very good, just like in Spain, the pulpo was very good as were the abondigas. We could have kept going, except we had had quite a lot and wanted dessert. I recommend Amada especially if you love tapas.

Amada serves delicious, carefully prepared food with interesting ingredient combinations. We have had the tasting menu with the paired wine twice and not been disappointed. One thing we order every time is a dish of the Spanish olives. They are to die for! During one meal we actually ended up ordering two dishes of olives.
While prices are somewhat high, the food, wine, cocktails and service make it truly a wonderful culinary experience.

Have been to Amada many times, both in Philly and when they had a venue at the Revel in AC. Nothing better than the tasting menu - letting the chef (guided by the principles of Jose Garces) pick our selections. They work around any dietary issues that one may have. Would LOVE to see a wine pairing added to their lunch/brunch menu - like they have at dinner.

The food was outstanding. The garlic shrimp were perfectly cooked, with a great citrus and butter broth that was just as delicious with the crusty bread. We also had the asparagus, ham croquettes and crab stuffed peppers. Each was flavorful and perfect for two. We took two desserts back to our hotel and they were as delicious as the rest of the meal. We will return to Amada every time we are in Philly.

This was my 7th time eating at Amada and it has never failed to impress me. This dinner was to celebrate my wife's birthday. My server was attentive and friendly. The food runners were so polite and friendly as well. Our meal was wonderful and our cocktails were fresh and fun. I want to also extend a thank you to the house acknowledging my wife's birthday with a complimentary desert. This will most certainly not be my last visit to this wonderful restaurant.

The food was delicious--especially the Gambas al Ajillo, Coliflor, Tortilla Espanola (even better than what I had in Spain), and Albondigas. We tried 9 dishes (per the waitress' recommendation of 3 per person) plus 2 desserts. We couldn't finish it all, but desperately wanted to. I was especially delighted by the "Gin & Tonic Bar" which offers specialty gin cocktail mixtures paired with a pour-your-own bottle of craft tonic water. This place was heaven for someone who is both a foodie and a gin & tonic lover. The service was top notch--we were seated right away, the waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, and the arrival of the tapas was prompt and smoothly run with 3 dishes getting to us at a time. Awesome experience, well worth the money. Highly recommended.
