Vegetarians - do not go. My restaurant week meal was a tiny salad followed by French fries (patatas bravas and fried eggplant sticks). No thought into the non meat options despite the fact that when I called, I was told there was lots of variety. Would not go again.
Restaurant week so it was busy and a prix fix menu. Food was good. I get that service may be affected a bit but it was very slow and waitress was barely tolerant of us.
Excellent food. Went for Restaurant Week. Food distribution from servers was uneven but we enjoyed everything
Great food. Great experience, prices were better than expected. This is a place I would revisit again.
Great service, atmosphere and food. Would go back and recommend.
This place is always good- but it's always busy!! The service was pretty slow. I've never been there for brunch before so maybe that's a norm- but I noticed it, as did the rest of my party. The food and the value of restaurant week make up for it though!
Lunch with booty was fantastic!
Great service and fantastic flavors! Loved the overall experience.
I went for lunch on my own during Restaurant Week and had a great experience. The menu offered a variety of tempting options and I appreciated being able to select four dishes; I especially enjoyed the fried eggplant and the scallops a la plancha. Next time I will probably skip the sangria blanca, which was a bit too sweet for me. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. The high-top tables near the bar were a perfect location, being removed from the bustle of the main dining area but still included in the restaurant's cozy feel.
The food was great and so was the service. Some portion sizes were a little bigger than what I would like but overall it was great. We went for restaurant week and it was a prefix menu but the selection items to choose from was really good. They have great selection of cocktails. I was not a fan of the chocolate torte kind of dessert but the other Meringue based one was great. Overall I would try it again.
LOVED! Such an exquisite meal and dining experience.
Amandas food is delicious and the service was great! The only negative is we sat in the back and it was a little cold.
Very good food. Highly recommend
Reservation was at 8:30, we showed up on time and were asked to wait at the bar, which was totally fine. It took about 15 minutes at the bar to finally get a bar menu and then another 15 after that to finally get sat. Otherwise the meal was very very good. The wait time was somewhat annoying at a certain point.
Great, need more words.
A friend and I decided to check out Amada during restaurant week in Philly. I was late due to traffic and feeling a bit hassled by the time I arrived. My friend was already seated. It was a fairly tight space and I thought I was going to have a hard time settling in. The waitress was friendly and gave me a few minutes to get myself together. The restaurant was crowed but the noise level was moderate. The atmosphere was pleasant and even though it was restaurant week we did not feel rushed. The food was very good and presented well for each of the 3 courses. Since it was Restaurant week, we did not see the true prices but for the $35 special it was worth it. At the end of the meal the waitress gave me the bill but had not asked if we wanted anything else. We did want coffee. I wish I had skipped it. The coffee was lukewarm, fair to mediocre in taste and in a small cup (maybe 4 oz) for $4.50 each. I don't mind paying good money for a decent cup of coffee but this did not rise to that status. Overall, it was a good night, and I would return.
From the front door staff to the food, everything was amazing!!!! I throughly enjoyed myself!
I went to restaurant week and shared the small plates with friends. Everything tasted good and was well seasoned. Highly recommend.
This is great food. I normally am so disappointed by going out to eat. This is the kind of place that makes it all worthwhile...
Great place to try different tapas. Pretty good value for restaurant week.
Went for restaurant week, and the deal was amazing! Food was so delicious and the tapas style allowed us to try everything! Fabulous meal all around.
Birthday dinner. Food was great
Excellent service, delicious food!
Restaurant week - great selection of delicious unique and traditional tapas. Garces does a great job. Very busy night but service was still good.
First time dining experience at Amada for restaurant week. We sat at the bar area, the food and cocktails were amazing. Bar service was very slow, we were told that they were down one bartender due to an illness. Overall would highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be dining there again.
EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE! Highly highly recommend this restaurant!!!
I have been waiting to get back to this restaurant for some time now. I wanted to take my husband and restaurant week was the perfect opportunity. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. My husband was very impressed and is looking forward to returning and enjoying more from an unlimited menu.
Delicious food! Tapas is so fun to share an experience. Portions were perfect for restaurant week. Wish I took photos because each plate was also beautiful presented. I was stuffed after my meal.
Candy was great, food was delicious, will come again for sure.
We went for Restaurant Week. The food was great! Everything was very flavorful and very tasty. One of our courses was somewhat delayed but our server made it up to us with a few extras dishes and still got us to the theatre on time! We always enjoy Amada .
Small portion but truly exceptional food.
Food was excellent, place and service good, time to serve the food was a disaster. Party of 12.
It was really good
We always make sure to get to Amada during restaurant week. It never disappoints, especially then.
Food was great...amazing value. The service is wonderful but takes a minute bc it's packed and they need more help. Presentation of everything was amazing. If you make a reservation be prepared to wait for a table for at least 15 to 20 minutes after schedule bc it's packed. Not a quit place...very lively which is great but you need to be prepared to be loud to talk to folks at your table.
Fantastic food - fantastic service.
Edwin our server was fantastic, extensive menu knowledge, recommended tapas and entree. I asked for bleu cheese olives with my drink. He offered to make them himself as they were not on the menu, twice! Edwin went above and beyond. Thank you. The manager Joseph was made aware as well. Joseph also had extensive wine knowledge and recommended a delicious pair with my skirt steak.
I went with a group of friends to try the place out for the first time. I liked it and so did the rest of the group. The food was served fairly quick and the plates were flavorful. They have a good wine list. The place was full but it was still quiet enough to have conversation without straining. I will definitely be back, did find some of the dishes on the pricier side but overall I still think they are a good place to visit.
Amada is probably my favorite restaurant in Philly. From entering to exiting, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and very professional. The food was absolutely spectacular. Upon completing each dish the staff would replace it with the next course within a minute. The food was also ordered to complement the previous dish, and introduce a completely different flavor profile. The sangrias are some of the best I've ever had and I highly suggest trying them. Overall, this is a restaurant you want to go to for your next special occasion. Amazing!
