We decided to dine at Amada knowing that the restaurant would need to close with the new restrictions later in the weeek. Our 'last hoorah' was delicious! Portions were more than enough to leave feeling full. Empanada's, clams, scallops, and meats and cheeses were all tasty. Service was attentive as well. We hope the restaurant survives throughout the pandemic so that we can return soon.
Our server, Candy, was lovely. I mentioned that it was my birthday and she brought out some crema catalana for me.
The food was authentic and so tasty, a big compliment since I am a Spaniard (and a good cook myself).
Waitress and food was great! Happy hour menu is on point.
Amazing Restaurant, we had the octopus, tortilla espanola, chorizo, the flatbread with artichoke. Outstanding definitely will come back.
Amazing food, amazing service!
Food excellent. Outdoor seating. Need to install heaters when the cooler weather takes hold. The tables are very wide making it difficult to talk to those sitting across from you
Food and service were fantastic
Great food at a reasonable price with attentive service
We were celebrating my special birthday (70!) and my son’s. We ordered A LOT - and it was all delicious. The food is so well presented and prepared. We were here last year for my husband’s 70th, and we love Amada. We felt very safe as our table was well spaced and away from foot traffic. This is one of our go to places in Philadelphia for a special meal.
Food and Sangria are excellent!!!
I wasn’t that impressed with the food outside of the lobster and garlic shrimp. Probably wouldn’t go back but if I did that’s what I would order.
Birthday lunch
Fantastic service from management!
Fun restaurant for tapas - some wonderful flavors abs menu items -
Delicious! Especially the mushrooms, artichoke flatbread, and patatas bravas.
My fiance enjoyed it immensely. They didn't have any plates for non-foodies like me. It was nice, but mostly for those with adventurous palettes.
Cute little Spanish restaurant in Olde City. Perfect spot for date night! The seafood paela was amazing! Drinks were great as well! Service was fantastic! Thank you again!
Table distancing appropriate and comfortable with nice dark ambiance. Food excellent from start to finish. Portions on the smaller side but priced accordingly and well worth it. I brought my hulky nephew who wasn’t exactly filled up but next time will have him order two entrees as cost does not prohibit. Service constant but unobtrusive- needed things arrived without even having to ask. I look forward to going back.
Every staff member went above and beyond. Joseph the GM was outstanding and very personable. Thank you thank you thank you for such a wonderful experience.
Overall experience was good/bad. Servers were very good and pleasant. Three items were ordered. First two items came out within 15 minutes. Final item took 45 minutes after ordering to come out. Server informed us that kitchen was backed up and brought a free compensatory dish in the meanwhile as we waited for final item. When the final item came out, it tasted good but it was cool and not hot (despite the 45 minute wait for it to come). Good service, food was delicious. Wait time for food can be improved/decreased tremendously.
Haven't been in a while and it was well worth the trip. Great food and wine.
They never disappoint us. It’s our go to place.
Excellent food and attentive waitstaff. Thank you
Fabulous even during a pandemic
Excellent experience - every dish was a winner - especially loved the french toast for brunch and the great priced brunch cocktails! Staff was super friendly professional and acted safely to make us feel comfortable.
We have eaten at Amada many times and have always had a great experience. This last time our entrees took an unusually long time to reach our table after we finished our tapas. Without any prompting on our part, a manager came over, explained the delay and promised to make things right. We very much appreciate the way Amada handled it. The food was still worth the wait and we won’t hesitate to return to Amada again soon.
Fantastic meal! My father is in a wheelchair and everyone was extremely accommodating. Food was TOP notch. For 4 people we had about 12 dishes. All of them were fantastic. Highlights were the wild mushrooms and octopus. The only thing that was a bit underwhelming was the Iberico de bellota. Great wine selection as well as cocktails before - the Rose Gold was delicious. Service was impeccable. I am thrilled that this restaurant is so good after being open so many years.
Service was incredible, food was great.
Great food and service. Loved being able to sit outside and catch up with an old friend while eating delicious food and drinking some pretty amazing sangria. Looking forward to coming back soon.
They have plenty of safety measures in place which was comforting. Food was excellent per usual.
Amazing food, drinks and service!
We felt very safe and the food was just a amazing as we remembered!
We were so happy to be back at Amada. It’s our favorite spot and have missed it. We felt confident eating inside due to the safety measures in place. We’ll be back !
Lovely view of the US Customs House with outdoor dining. Perfect mound of green salad with fava beans and avocado. The grilled mushrooms were delectable.
Unique Flavorful options
Amazing food! Awesome assortment of tapas, good to share for about two people per tapa. Nice quiet ambience. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here and they sent out a dessert dish with a candle. Great place for a date!
Food was great. Restaurant needs to invest in the heaters for outdoor dining, especially given Covid-19. Besides being cold while dining, I would definitely recommend Amada to a friend.
Definitely will not be back. Horrible service. We had to keep waving someone down for common sense things that we weren’t given. No utensils, coffee refill, salt/pepper for the bland food, is everything ok? How’s your meal? We just had food dropped off and then forgotten about...anytime we asked for things it took FOREVER to receive them or felt like we were inconveniencing them. It was completely empty inside and we did have noon reservations so maybe they were all over the place because they just opened or the outside people were the priority but all I know is we were dying to be done and leave. Such a waste of money.
Debbie was awesome. Great service and ambiance. Great job dealing with the state guidelines as well.
It was our first time at Amada and we loved the food! Everything is served as small plates (tapas) and we tried the crab stuffed peppers, lamb meatballs, spicy garlic shrimp and the octopus. I think our favorite were the peppers, but can't wait to return to try the lamb chops! Ray was our server, he was amazing - attentive, knowledgeable and extremely nice. We truly enjoyed our evening.
Everything was delicious from the cocktails to the service. Can’t wait to come back :)
