Return to week. Very very loud. Food delicious. A bit strange the pacing of the meal but would give them a pass since it is restaurant week.
I've been to Amada many times now, and each time has been an absolutely lovely experience. It's wonderful all around!
It was my wife’s Birthday and decided to go into the city for Restaurant Week. The food was amazing 8 different Tapas and not a bad bite, the facility is run like a well oiled machine by Mr. personally Joseph Quintela the GM. He could not have been more attentive, made everyone feel like a VIP
Interesting flavors, off the beaten path. Well done.
Too cold. Why must American restaurants overdo air conditioning? The waitstaff is moving and usually want it to be colder than is comfortable for the patrons.
Ask for Ray Lewis (not sure about the spelling). Made a not so great experience because of some restaurant week hiccups a great experience overall. After having our rehearsal dinner at Amada we had it as a special place in our hearts and honestly I was about to write it off because of tonight buy Ray saved that. I will be requesting him every time we come in from now on. His hospitality cannot be taken for granted.
Reservation was made for 7:45. We weren’t seated until 8:15 pm. They said they didn’t have a table even though we had a reservation. The reservation specifically asked for high top versus regular seating. I selected high top and got regular seating anyway. They ran out of my menu selections. My friends food all came out before mine so he got his first and second courses before I even got part of my first course. Service took forever. Server charged my card wrong and had to recharge it again. Surprised such a well-known restaurant had so many issues and couldn’t handle restaurant week on a Tuesday.
Amazing as always. I love the gin bar. The food is so consistently good. Service was strong. In my top three favorite restaurants in Philly!
I hadn’t been to Amada in years. The food was delicious, but the service was exceptional. From the endearing bus boy on his first shift, to our knowledgeable waiter, to the gracious and generous general manager, Joseph, the staff at Amada made us feel cared for and special. A feat particularly notable given it was a packed house for restaurant week. I will be back soon.
The tapas served at lunch though limited were absolutely delicious! The presentation was quite appealing and was surpassed only by the tastes and flavors of all the dishes!
The noise level was very high, which made it difficult to have a conversation without shouting... which also added to the noise level.
Came here with family for restaurant week and we LOVED it!!! Even my dad, who tends to be more particular, gave compliments to the chef. Their menu was perfectly designed for everyone to order something different and sample most of their popular menu items. We will be coming back for sure!!
My friend and I went for lunch. It happened to be restaurant week The menu was good and varied so that it wasn’t as limited as soon restaurant week menus. The service was excellent as was the food. Will definitely go back. It was our first time there
Beat service! Food is scrumptious! Will be back again and again.
Food was awesome! Great place for restaurant week with the tasting menu.
Maybe the worst service I've ever had . So bad the restaurant comp both of our dinners before we could even complain. The service was non-existent and spoiled the entire evening. We had to waive the server down for everything. We were seated for twenty minutes before she took our order. I wanted another glass of wine and sat 15 minutes before I was finally able to get her attention. When my dining companion wanted a second beer it took even longer to find her. She never came over to ask if we needed anything else. It took nearly half an hour between the first and second course. No one come over to tell us there might be a delay (we figured it out on our own). When the second course finally showed up it wasn't what I had ordered. I finally left with the rest of my second order and dessert bagged.
The food was good, but you can go to Barcelona or any other tapas restaurant and save yourself a great deal of aggravation.
The server tended to appear that she wasn’t interested in waiting on us. The rest of the evening was great.
The staff at Amada could not have been more accommodating. The manager, Joseph, was most friendly and attentive. And the same is true about our waiter, Finn.
The food was exceptional, as well. We did not leave one drop!!! We loved sharing and getting to taste so many dishes! All in all we had a wonderful experience! 👍👏👍
Food wasn’t spectacular, table was uncomfortable, servers were kind but took ages between courses
Wonderful food, service & experience
Service was disappointing and unlike the usual experience.
I must say the Chef Tasting Menu at Amada is one of the best food selections I have ever had! Very thoughtfully selected, beautifully cooked, perfect temperature and cool presentation. Go with the Wine pairing - delicious wine selections! Really enjoyed our experience! Thank you Amada!
We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Amada. Our waiter, Edwin, was informative and fun, the food was scrumptious and the pacing of the small plates was perfect. Recommend this restaurant highly!
Always a great time at Amada. Can’t go wrong with the tasting menu.
What a great experience! Amada has been recommended to me before but I never got the chance to try it until now. Our server couldn’t have been nicer and the wait staff in general were very attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. If you are on a budget I’d recommend going for their weekend brunch. $27 dollars per person for a TON of high quality food. Definitely planning on returning and recommending to family and friends.
This was our first time at Amada. Our waitress was extremely helpful in guiding g us on the appropriate amount of food to order. Everything was delicious and we definitely can’t wait to come back to try more!
From a group of people who LOVE salt, we found the food too salty. As was said by the best cook among us, "in a restaurant, great taste should not rely on salt, even though we sometimes do that at home." Other than that, their management of the small plates was a bit sloppy, forgot to remove the cheese we asked to be removed. Brought two of something we only ordered one of, and brought another dish we didn't ask for.
On the other side, we had a great evening, and when our birthday guest (who doesn't like sweets) refused dessert, they brought free dessert anyway, very nicely done!
Excellent food. Staff was very helpful with gluten sensitivity and food allergy menu changes.
Exceptionally delicious and creative food. We had s great meal and experience
The waiter was excellent! The wine tasting was incredible.
Awesome experience. Great wait staff and food was delicious.
Terrific tapas. We had a very knowledgable waitress who steered us to wonderful dishes, including the artichoke/truffle bruschetta, the lamb meatballs, garlic shrimp, and mixed green salad. The quality of the food and attention to detail were outstanding.
It was my first trip to Amada in years, and everything still impresses. The atmosphere is casual but elegant, and the service was enthusiastic and attentive without turning intrusive. The food was cooked impeccably, with layered flavor profiles, and provides the opportunity, since this restaurant features small plates, to create a culinary narrative of your own choosing. Eating a rich peppery salad, tangy garlic shrimp, savory lamb meatballs, and creamy ham croquettes in a medley makes for a satisfying light meal at an affordable price. In an age where flourishes and fireworks characterize many top venues, Amada quietly continues serving great food in a comfortable, low key manner.
It was a great experience! Mars was a fantastic server and very knowledgeable and very attentive! The food was great and even the duck salad that I didn’t like was replaced with the steak and it was amazing!
We met good friends and caught up with life... the waiter was very accommodating and didn’t rush us!
Overall an excellent experience. Knowledge wait staff. Food had excellent flavor. My group of 3 ended up ordering 5 dishes and a pitcher of Sangria. Bill for that amount was very reasonable and we were all satisfied afterwards. Only complaint is that the waiter kept bringing out the dishes to the wrong table! Other than that, excellent experience overall.
I have been a guest at Amada several times, and always have great experiences. This particular visit, however, was a hot mess. I invited a couple friends, and we were seated at the VERY back of the restaurant in a room with 3 other tables/parties. Our waiter was not present - literally and metaphorically. When he did show up to take our order/check in, he half-listened and seemed agitated, which led to a few tapas plates that we ordered never making it to our table. Our drinks arrived mid-way through the meal, and I had to request that he refill everyone's water glasses each time he stopped. The food here is exceptional - and I hope this bad service experience was a fluke.
Delivery of food was extremely slow.
Too expensive for what we got and didn’t seem very clean.
always a pleasure to visit AMADA for brunch. brunch menu is excellent and is a lot of food but perfect for sharing with large groups. will definitely return again
Excellent food and service
