Brunch was jus Okay. We normally never had a bad meal at Amada and decided to try brunch there. Food came out cold, not much flavor, and had to hunt down waiter for refill on coffee or anything.
Always one of my favorite places to dine at.
We had an excellent experience! Joseph took our coats, the bartender was attentive while we waited for our table (we arrived early), the waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu.
The food was Phenomenal. We shared 4 tapas and was more than enough for two people. Strip steak, empanadas, crab and a cheese plate, all fantastic. Couldn't have been better, highly recommend!
I made a reservation 3 days prior. I received a phone call the day of my visit to confirm I was still going. I said yes and confirmed a party of 3 for 7 pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:55 pm and was met with a look of confusion. I saw 4 empty tables in the main dining room and was told by the hostess to wait until a table was ready and we could go to the bar. I could sense by the hostess and others she spoke with that somewhere along the way, a mistake was made. My party and I waited another 10 minutes in hopes we would be seated in the main dining room. Unfortunately, we were placed in bar top style seating with another pair of individuals who had been drinking. The table constantly wobbled and a cold draft came in from the window. While we were sitting down, 2 more parties were seated in the main dining room. the food and service was not an issue and we were given 2 free courses, but that does not solve this issue remotely. Very poor communication between the manager and hostess. There was not one moment where someone could just explain to me what happened. Its apparent that the reservation I had confirmed was not confirmed. I wont be returning to this restaurant after this poor seating experience.
Great dining experience! Delicious and great service!
Excellent food, great service, not cheap but tapas a flexible type of dinner. We had a great meal, highly recommend!
We requested a quiet more private seat and were taken to the back room - it was wonderful!
Great dinner with fantastic service!!! Me and my wife celebrated our anniversary and I would go there again!
Superb, as usual!
We made a reservation last minute at Amada on a rainy day and it was wonderful! Our server Deb was very knowledgeable and answered every question that we had about the menu. The chorizo and albondigas were amazing, and I definitely recommend their olive oil ice cream to finish the night off. The server pointed us to the right direction and gave us great descriptions of what we were interested in. I'll definitely come back, and I plan to bring an empty stomach.
I am already planning when I am going back. Went for $5 Sunday tapas and they were out of this world. Also ordered the berenjena con miel (eggplant with honey) and it reminded me of the ones I had sitting at a little family owned restaurant on a tiny, almost hidden beach in southern Spain. Brought back some tastes I definitely missed from Spain after living there for a while. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
Amada is one of my favorite restaurants. We had the tasting menu and it was spectacular. Every time I have it we leave the dinner so satisfied, and yes, full. Every tapas was delicious. Our favorites are the bacon wrapped dates and the scallops. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a must try. Plus the service was top notch!
Had a 730 reservation for our anniversary and were were seated at 8, which was fine. Ordered the chef selection, and were served charcuterie, cheese, olives, and an appetizer tapa right away. We remarked on how it all came out at once and asked to slow things down. We then waited over an hour for the next course. Our server was attentive and very good, but at that point our appetite and dinner was a lost cause. Very disappointing as the food we did receive was delicious, but we basically sat in waiting for two hours and were resolved to laugh at our anniversary "dinner." The service manager was accomadating in comping our bottle of wine but at the end of the day we have $200 in take-out that will likely be left in our Airbnb refrigerator. Very disappointing after having high hopes for a special night.
Standard tapas, nicely prepared but not special. Service was fine. Ate outside and not inside because particularly noisy inside. Fun vibe, very popular. Fun neighborhood for being out and about.
Amazing food and service. Every morsel was terrific. Wait staff is friendly and professional. Will be back.
Fabulous experience- brought out of town guests - they raves about it
Three years ago we had the tasting menu and it was terrific. We went for my birthday last week and were so disappointed. This time we ordered a salad which was very good, octopus and Paella. The octopus and paella both had the same hammy, smokey flavor. It was so intense in the paella that we stopped eating it. The paella was also very oily. We did take it home and tried eating it the next night but just tossed the rest in the trash. The ice cream sundae was good but not as good as Franklin Fountain. The waitstaff were great.
I don’t think we will go back anytime soon.
first time going to Amada, will be going back again, highly recommend
Brunch special was DELISH and $5 drinks were a plus! Would return!
Service and food were excellent. We celebrated an anniversary here and were very pleased.
Brunch was a nice value and waiter was very helpful.
Salty but good.
I made a reservation for 4, but one person had to back out last minute. The seated the three of us at a table for two that was way too cramped for three people. I will not be bringing clients here again.
We were not all that pleased with where we were originally seated in the back room all the way in a dark corner. I asked the hostess if we could move to the main dining room, and she did so swiftly. The food was delicious and the Sunday $5 tapas menu is quite a deal. We noted on our reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary, and our waitress brought us a complimentary dessert. So sweet! Also, I found out that the restaurant is now owned by PJ's of NOLA and I am from Louisiana, so that was quite a pleasant surprise. Thank you for the great dinner!
I cannot highly recommend Amada enough. The food was divine- such unique combinations of flavors that were out of this world. Since most of the plates are tapas, you get the chance to try a multitude of different dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to, I want to go back right now!
I had really high hopes for the food but unfortunately it was a let down. All the dishes were just ok. The biggest disappointment was the wagyu beef which was completely well done and it was comparable to flank steak.
Nick was an awesome waiter with great food recommendations!
Got the chef selection which I’ve had before and was just better every prior. I spent over $300 for 4 people to eat and I left hungry
The restaurant week portions were very small so I didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. I basically paid $35 for finger foods. The food tasted great but it was so small and not filling in any way
The service was great and the food tasted great, but both my boyfriend and I felt a bit sick after dinner.
Amada!!! Everything was on point!! So impressed with the food, service, ambience and drinks. Will definitely be back!!
Great food. Great service.
Restaurant week is probably the best thing that’s ever happened because it allowed my girlfriend and I to experience an incredible tasting menu form Amada at a fair price. The food was absolutely incredible. The vegetarian options were as delicious as the carnivorous.
Most importantly: Truffled Lavender Honey. It blew my mind. 10/10 would recommend.
Great meal, very attentive service
The food was absolutely excellent! The chorizo a la planxa was heavenly!! It’s the best chorizo I’ve ever had. Finn was a wonderful waiter, unfortunately, the kitchen was slow preparing our 2nd course. However, my sons and I were enjoying our first course, as well as the fantastic sangria. Finn was kind enough to bring us free drinks for our wait. We will definitely be going back again!
Interesting tapas. A few things overly salted but interesting plates for restaurant week.
Great meal. very attentive server. a little bit too noisy but the food was wonderful with lots of options
everything was great, especially our server... only snafu was that one dish was forgotten but as soon as I told the server, he corrected it.
We tried the half roast pig. The best dinner we had in Philly.
The tapas and sangria was very good. Some of the dishes were very small and there were some misses but over all would be a good spot to grab a drink and light snack with friends.
