The food was incredible. Unfortunately the power went out during our meal but that didnt stop me from licking my plate clean
Food is always great. Service good. Felt rushed though. I would slow this down next time by ordering a couple plates at a time
My favorites restaurant.
We were so excited to experience this 1st visit to enjoy Sorry to say our disappointment in the timing of our food. We waited so long to receive our Tapas. We arrived 6:30 by 8:00 pm we were still waiting for our last 2 small plates! Finally our lamb meatballs arrived. The scallops we ordered were 2 scallops cut in half on 2 skewers for $16.00Frustrated we didn’t wait any longer for our Empanadas. After eating 4 Tapas we asked for our check. Leaving still hungry & wondering if the open kitchen was staffed properly?? The ambiance of this restaurant was very lovely. Very noisy hardly could hear the wonderful music. Questioning our decision on returning.
Foods still wonderful. Service is good. Wear and tear is showing on the place. Ladies bathroom was in horrible shape (clean but very beat up). I love it here, but invest some money in a facelift.
Celebrated my birthday, brunch style. Food was amazing along with service🤤 best restaurant
Late evening snack- We had a lovely time following an evening out where we did not have time to eat dinner beforehand. Our waiter, Julian, was great. We picked out multiple tapas dishes, which were highly enjoyable. The food was great and our waiter gave us background info on each item when we ordered it and when it came. Great night out.
We had such an amazing time, our table was ready at the time we arrived, we were celebrating my husband birthday & they surprise us with champagne & a dessert for him with a candle, our server was just amazing, everyone was very attentive & the food was delicious, it was spaced just perfect to give us time to open space for more. The atmosphere is vibrant yet welcoming it is very noise so to have a conversation is hard.
Consistently great food here
Has always been a favorite of ours! We will always come back!
Excellent diverse creative menu. Ordered individual items since I think the tasting menu is way too much food. Very noisy. Not conducive to business discussions especially with new hire.
My favorite restaurant on the East Coast and I always come here when I am in Philly.
We had an incredible meal starting with free champagne to celebrate a special birthday followed by excellent food. Each dish was favorable, unique, portioned very well and thoroughly enjoyed by us. Service was great. All of this followed by a free dessert for the birthday. Loved our varied choices and we will definitely go back.
Great service and food.
Amada is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Philadelphia, but we were disappointed with the new (at least it was new to us) lunch menu. Specifically, on past lunchtime visits the full tapas menu has been available. The sandwiches on the lunch menu are good, but we wouldn't come back for that limited lunch menu and will likely head elsewhere in the future.
We have been to Amada 4 or 5 times and have always been pleased with our experience. This time was no different! Usually we go for the chef's tasting menu, but this time we picked our own assortment of small plates. Everything was delicious, some highlights were the scallops, the bacon wrapped dates, and the brussel sprouts. Dessert and drinks were excellent as well. Our service was decent, not spectacular. But it was a busy night when we went. We certainly are eager to go back.
Did the tasting menu and not only was it amazing we received so much food! can’t wait to go back!
Comparing this to other gourmet tapas restaurants around the city (I.e., Barcelona wine bar), I would vote this on the lower end in regard to quality, portion size, price, and variation.
Unfriendly service. Not a good menu. We had 5 items and none were very good.
Visited with out of town friends. Great lunch served by a great staff.
I do not like to say that the food at Amada is not the one that used to be. It was salty. All of it. Too much vinegar, in fact, way too much in the salad. I will not be back for a while.
Amazing meal. Food and drinks were beyond delicious!
The wait staff was great from beginning to end!! We were there until most people were gone and yet there was not urge to get us out.
Attentive and friendly waitstaff, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, loved the tastings. Will definitely go back. Only bummer was how close tables were but we enjoyed the dining experience.
We had a great dinner & evening at Amada. One member of our group has a garlic allergy & even with us ordering the tasting menu the staff did an excellent job being sure to provide alternative selections related to this. Thanks so much!
Amada is, in a word, excellent! We've been going there for several years now and always enjoy it. The food, the service, and the ambiance are always top-notch. We particularly love Sunday night tapas meals, where there are many offerings for $5 per plate, so we can get a lot of variety without spending a lot.
Our server was very outgoing and knowlegable. The food as many dishes as we ordered each one was spot on.Love Amada.
We had a great dinner at Amada several months ago and were looking for a last-minute place for a Sunday brunch. Honestly, Amada was not our first choice, because of the menu selection. Ultimately, I'm glad we went because the food was fabulous and I will definitely go again. I had the Serrano ham, which I was looking forward to since I've had it before. In addition, I had Torrijas (tapas style fried french toast with apples and a sherry caramel sauce). The french toast was so good that I ordered a second serving!
The brunch was excellent. Crab Benedict a must! Bench seating along the wall needs replaced. Too low and felt like I was sliding on the bench onto the floor
Have been going to Amada for years and it's still excellent food and service.
Every aspect of my dining experience was magnificent.
Way overpriced for what you get
We had a reservation, we were on time, but had to wait. Once seated after 35 minutes, we were escorted to the back room and offered a complimentary charcuterie plate for our troubles. This was gracious. The room was too noisy however. We were moved to another table but the noise was a huge deterrent. The food was excellent and the value was pretty good. But they need some more sounds absorbers in the back room.
Great restaurant. Food and ambience were wonderful!
We always have a great dining experience at Amada. Food, service and ambiance are most enjoyable.
Everything we had at the restaurant was tremendously good, from the manchego cheese, chorizo, and chicken tapas to the wagyu steak and lamb chops. It was a great time for our anniversary.
My wife I favorite restaurant in the city. Went to celebrate our anniversary. Great overall flavor on all the dishes we had. Tapas style allows for trying a number of dishes . A very nice selection of Spanish wine by glass and bottle.
Long wait for service. Poor greeting. Disappointed. Didn’t live up to its reputation.
Everything was delicious!
