The servers were great & knowledgeable, but definitely pushed the highest priced options, almost to an uncomfortable degree. Two people in our party of four have significant food restrictions, which is why we did not opt for the chef’s menu. The waiter(s) did not seem to listen to our reasoning & continued to push the chefs option. Also, one of the dishes we ordered (rice with mushrooms & peas) never arrived, which was quite disappointing.
Superb creative cuisine, great professional service, best view of the ocean in AC!
The only thing better than Amada is another Jose Garces restaurant Tinto..BUT no view!
Best food in AC!
Never got a table. Said reservation was never made
Wonderful food and atmosphere
We were celebrating our son’s 21st birthday. He wanted to go to Amada which is our favorite restaurant. The manager, Michael Garguilo made sure we got a great table by the window which is their cage booths. Mike is the best manager the restaurant ever had. He was very accommodating and helpful. Our server was Miro who made sure our son had a great night and fantastic experience for his birthday. He was the best waiter we ever had at any restaurant. This restaurant and staff is far the best in Atlantic City. Every part of the meal from the beginning champagne toast to the ham croquette apps to the filet mignon to the great desert and service made this an incredible night for our family. This is always a must do restaurant. We are going back for our anniversary next month. Asking for Miro again.
Good food great service. Always fun sharing tapas plates. Shrimp and short rib flat bread were both good. If you like chocolate try the pastels de chocolate
Very disappointed. We had to leave because the live music was so LOUD! It was impossible to have a conversation or even communicate with the waiter unless you screamed. Way too loud.
Amazing food, server was knowledgeable of the menu and funny but always seemed to be in a rush.
Tasting menu great
Desert portion only fair though
We had a lovely dinner to celebrate two friends birthdays.
Miro is the best waiter at Amada.
Accommodating for gluten free
Delicious tapas and cocktails make this a really great option at the Ocean resort. Initially I had not wanted to try it because it is right next to the slots, but inside it feels far from the casino with ocean front tables, and Spanish music. The service was excellent. The tapas we really loved were garlic shrimp, shortrib flatbread, ham croquettes, and white bean soup. Highly recommend.
Outstanding all the way! The Easter Brunch was the best we have had in AC.
Great views, food and service! Wonderful experience!
My family and I had a great experience at Amada. The ambiance, food, drinks and service were all 5 stars. The restaurant is located in the Ocean Casino. Although we were staying at another casino, we decided to visit the Ocean Casino so we could dine at Amada and we are glad we did so. They accommodated us with a beautiful round booth with views of the water. We had 2 waiters, Frank and David, and they both provided great service and were very attentive to our table. My parents, my son and myself enjoyed each and every tapas dish we ordered. Everything was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My drink “Broken Embraces” was delicious. If you like tequila based drinks, I recommend you try it! Thanks Amada! We will definitely be back and look forward to visiting your Philly location as well.
Fantastic octopus always amazing
Great food, first off they give you a balsamic tuna fish complimentary tapas which was anazing. We tried a bunch of Tapas and they were all delicious and decent size. Love getting tapas because you get to try so many different dishes instead of just one APP. We also had the lobster paella which was also very tasty with Black ink rice yum! Would highly recommend going on weekend they also have live band which is a plus and not overly crowded. Great atmosphere.
great food everything come write out, would highly recommend this location much better than Philly
Service lacked. Granted it was a slow Sunday evening but my server was very unattentive and unfamiliar with the menu. Lack of luster to say the least. My first time visiting and will be my last .
Amada is a favorite dining destination for us. The service is consistently charming, the menu is amazing and the food is always a score- no matter what you order.
Food was very good. We ordered 5 things tapas style. First item arrived very quickly. Second item arrived 5 mins later. Then we waited almost an hour for the third item. Fourth and fifth items came ten mins after that. Restaurant was busy, but not when we arrived at 6:00.
Pre-beerfest. Food was amazing!
I hardly write reviews, but I do think Ocean resort casino has a ton of potential and the restaurants only solidify it's status among the AC casinos. Between memorial day and labor day, as well as sporadic weekends, I'm a mainstay in AC (condo on the beach towards Ventnor). I was very excited when Ocean and Hardrock opened to rejuvenate AC. Let me first say that this review is solely about Amada - ambiance and restaurant set up is great. Very cool spot. Service for the most part was solid, although when we sat down, our table was quite wobbly. The food was sub-par at best. For a Jose Garces restaurant, it was a major let down. The ham croquettes tasted like they came out of a box in the microwave. The clams were ok, but very small and less than satisfying. My expectations for a Garces restaurant are always high, so it's safe to say I won't be returning this one at Ocean.
Incredible food great service
Service was great food was amazing!
Felt a bit rushed and plates/drinks were taken before we were done. Have been here many times and feel it’s loosing its original magic sad to say. Hopefully it was just an off night.
My wife and I were here once before when Revel was still in business, and We were very happy to see that Amada reopened when this casino reopened as Ocean Resort Casino. We were totally happy with this excellent dining experience both times. The food is delicious and varied, they offer many options and
the service was spot on and friendly. This is one of our favorite places to eat, and We will be returning more often now that this Casino has reopened. Highly recommended.
So much fun! Great food & Great service & Great vibe!!
This was our 2nd time dining here and the experience was just as good as the first time.
Because we ordered the lobster paella (and it can take about 45 minutes to prepare) Edgar, our server, spaced out the tapas plates so that we were neither hungry or rushed when dinner arrived. The food was all prepared very well and the seafood in the paella was very fresh.
We will be dining here again next time we stay at the resort.
Our waiter Frank was amazing and completely explained the menu and made some excellent suggestions. The food was very good and we will return,
Great experience even though the hostess gave us a crappy booth all the way in the back near the bathrooms when the entire restaurant was empty. Next time I am saying something. Everything else was fantastic and I will always love this place. On the way to our car after dinner, we were stopped by security because my 13 year old daughter was walking across the casino floor with me, not stopped, just walking!!!! The idiot security people told me they do not allow minors to walk across the casino floor!!! In New Jersey it is the law that they are allowed as long as they do not stop and are accompanied by an adult. We walked into Amada across the casino floor as that is the only way to get in. This really poses me off. Still love Amada.
Yummy bacon wrapped dates and pork Pernil. Soup was divine too. Not too impressed with crab stuffed peppers so I would skip that and order extra dates!!!!
Amazing bartender! (Worked 03/07)He made a fabulous angel’s envy rye old fashion!
My 1st time at Amada's and was pleasantly surprised food was delicious and plentiful for restaurant week, service excellent, ambiance very pleasant, would definitely visit again and recommend it to others as a must try
We were very eager to eat at Amada again. It has reopened along with the Ocean Resort Casino, and it lived up to all our expectations. A lovely "trip" to South America or Spain, with interesting and delicious food. The servers brought us a number of extra dishes, all "on the house," when we were there for dinner during Restaurant Week. If you're at all adventurous, give it a try!
Fabulous and with an ocean view! Great food, service and ambiance. Even an unexpected surprise chef sent out a complementary tapas
Food was amazing
Everything was delicious! I could go here every week!!
