Best family restaurant in Arlington.

Ate outside. Way too many tables crammed together! So close we had to stand up to allow the table next to us to sit down. Not good.
Overall good service otherwise!

The pizza is delicious

For what is was it was ok but menu was very limited...a glorified pizza shop.

Great place for a group lunch - lots of options, very good food, and excellent service.

This is just Faccia Luna under a new name. The menu needs a refresh in a big way! The service was good but the food was below average. This restaurant has so much opportunity in this area.

Salads are fresh with good variety of ingredients.
Homemade pastas are cooked well with delicious well seasoned sauces. The pizza choices are very good & we always order enough pizza to have leftovers. It is delish hot or cold. Excellent choices of cocktails, wines & beers.
Servers are considerate & on target with timing of dishes.

We enjoyed dining outside in the great weather.
Our server Lee was attentive & on target with delivery of our selections from wine to salads, pizza & pasta! The pizza was perfectly cooked with a good balance of ingredients. Nothing was left of the vegetable lasagna and the jambalaya. Both were well seasoned & excellent.

Visiting from out of State and decided to try for lunch because of the Eggplant Parmigiana. Had it with a salad and they didn't disappoint! Would love to come back on my next visit to Arlington to try the pizza, which smelled and looked wonderful... like East Coast pizza should.

We went on a Monday evening. The place was dead. I had a screaming headache. I expected the worst.

Quite the contrary. The waitress was top notch. Brought water to the table right away. Knew the menu. Had an engaging personality.

The food was remarkable. So good, that my wife refused to share her entre - a first in 29 years of marriage. I had no room to be critical as I did the same thing. I ordered a small pizza with Italian sausage. The pizza was great. It was clear that the ingredients were dripping freshness, knowingly prepared and perfectly presented. My wife's salad was crisp, fresh and a perfectly proportioned. The next day she was still talking about it.

We have been trying pizza places every weekend since moving to the area. We have yet to find our 'go to' place for Friday night pizza yet. My wife didn't want to get too fancy for Mothers day because of the crowds, rain and the fact that shes 8 months pregnant and was really craving pizza. We decided Alto Fumo to have a quiet early dinner. Not only was this the tastiest pizza we've had in Arlington but the wait staff were so kind and patient with our loud hungry toddler who came close to making a scene a few times. I cant wait to eat here again!

Fine. Barely. The pizza and salads were fine but very simple. If they put effort into the service, they could probably do really well. Kind of a pity.

Food was delicious! Definitely family friendly. The place is small so i recommend a reservation. And don't expect a quiet intimate dinner. It was pretty noisy. But overall, would recommend it.

Best pizza in the area! Reasonable prices. Outdoor dining.

Nice looking place with casual atmosphere. Chick parm was good, but spaghetti and spinach ravioli had little taste. Pizza is on the thicker side if that is how you like yours. Friendly staff, did not charge for wife’s ravioli that she did not like.

Not up to the quality of the old Faccia Luna. Very small appetizer portions.

We had a fun evening with a great server, Norman. He was attentive and accommodating to our every need.
The special appetizer he suggested was delicious. We also enjoyed arugula and beet salads and a house salad.
Both pizzas, one Hawaiian and the other custom made were excellent with enough to take some home to enjoy a second day.
Love Alto Fumo for its choices and quality. Excellent beer and cocktail selection as well as a small but quite good wine list at great prices.

The food was typical American-Italian. They have a nice happy hour and the drinks are rather good. The place was full when we were there and it was quite noisy so if you're looking for a quiet dinner you might want to avoid Alto Fumo.

We really enjoyed the food and the ability to park in the lot behind made the entire experience very easy!

This is one of our favorite casual place offering excellent choices in salads, sandwiches, pasta and pizza. Many nice choices or can create your own. Good selection of beverages all at reasonable prices. Our group enjoyed the house salads and the beet and arugula salads. The veggie lasagna was a special and it was well prepared with a good amount of veggies. The pizza is great here with good crust and a nice choice of toppings. Our server was excellent, very timely and attentive as needed. He allowed us to enjoy our complete meal without rushing apps and entrees to the table. Thank you.

Amazing pasta and salads. The pasta was definitely fresh and one of the best I’ve had in the DMV area. Will be going back many more times.

It says a lot that of all the restaurants in Arlington I chose this one to dine at for my birthday. There’s something very cozy and comforting about Alto Fumo. I was happy to see the food was just as it was when they were Faccia Luna. Great food and friendly service.

Alto Fumo was Faccia Luna for about 20 years before it closed last year. We were concerned, but Alto Fumo is very much like its predecessor: a great neighborhood Italian restaurant with terrific pasta, pizza, salads, subs, craft beers and drinks.

Food was delicious! They kindly let us modify our reservation to a larger number of people. Restaurant was very busy and we had a to wait a very short bit for our reserved table. Seemed reasonable. The owner kept us apprised of how long we'd have to wait and offered a beer to us. Server was timely. Had to wait a bit for the food, but many tables sat down at once. Food was worth the wait. We would go again.

On one of the busiest weekends (MCM) runners filled into all the places to eat pasta. Alto Fumo was no exception. Yes, it was busy, pasta was good but Hospitality was on point. I’m assuming it was the owner/general manager who was so kind to us apologizing for wait....really no wait at all. Thanks for a great evening!!

Alto was absolutely slammed because of the marine corp marathon , however the owner was present throughout the restaurant, talking to people and making sure they were taken care of. Our server was excellent as was the food, the toasted ravioli's are a must and the pepperoni pizza had real pepperoni, Price was very good especially for this area and when we return to visit Arlington we will make Alto one of our stops along the way ....One last thing...Make a reservation as they fill up quick and it's a small restaurant, we had a 5:30 reservation and they took us right away

Everything was phenomenal! We made a reservation via Open Table and walked right in to our table. Drinks and food were all perfect! Service was great! The restaurant got busy as the evening pressed, definitely a popular place. We will absolutely be back whenever we go to DC again!

Atmosphere was so comfortable and enjoyable! Pizza was good enough, but this place is a great spot to enjoy a meal! Staff was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this place to friends.

I love the pizza at Alto Fumo, formerly Faccia Luna. I really don't understand why they changed the name? If in an effort to "rebrand" nothing has changed except the name and a few additional food items. While I love their pizza, it's one of my favorites in the area, the restaurant is quite disappointing. The restrooms are gross and the dining room feels dirty. Luckily last night it was nice enough to eat outside. Great location great pizza but for me it's an eat and run kind of place.

Good pizza, although we went there for brunch and they no longer have a brunch menu. Good food though!
