Everything was pretty good there was a little wait for the food too come but it was good will return.

Have gone there three times. They nail it every time. Great food. Very friendly and fast service. Great views. Wide variety on the menu. Love the place.

I have always been fascinated by the Quarry. This restaurant has a great view of the Quarry.

Alto brings a touch of class to the south suburbs. The decor is stunning as is the view onerlooking the Thornton quarry. The smoked burrata appetizer with pancetta, pistachios, tomato jam, balsamic sweetly drop peppers delighted the taste buds. The baby gem wedge salad was beautifully presented and tasty. Both wet aged and dry aged prime steaks are available. My wife’s wet aged petite filet was perfectly prepared and delicious as was my dry aged Kansas City steak. For non steak lovers a nice selection of pasta, seafood, and chicken/chops are available. The peanut butter tart was a delight . The pistachio crème brûlée, which was comped for our Anniversary was a symphony of flavor!! All in all a perfect spot to celebrate our 53rd anniversary.

The food and people are great. Had the salmon which was good, the two other guests had the lobster tail and the Kansas City steak was great. The view of the city is incredible. Will be back again and would highly recommend Alto.

Visited on a Friday night early. 5:30 reservations. Great views and Service was second to none. Was nice to go early when not as busy as noise level was very acceptable. Food all came out fairly quickly and was prepared as ordered. We had a filet and Porkchop and both were delicious. Had the whipped potatoes and they were perfect. My only issue was as I don't drink soda that Ice Tea was not an option. Even with that my water glass stayed full all night and I will defiantly dine here again.

The restaurant is beautiful with a great view of the city and surrounding area. Dinner was definitely on par with the decor. I highly recommend the crab cakes! That was a standout. The sauce and frisee lettuce compliment the crab cakes without taking away from the flavorful crab. Tuna tartare was also very good. The crisps that come with it were perfect. They gave a wonderful crunch to go with the tuna. As for dinner, the porkchop was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was also very good. Personally, the artichokes were not needed. Rather, I would have preferred more of the asparagus. Now to the least favorite dish. The shrimp fra diavolo pasta with the spaghetti alla chitarra. One, it seemed to be lacking bread crumbs, not a big deal, but may have helped? Two, the shrimp was way overcooked, and three to noodles were inedible. They tasted like uncooked dough. I was looking for an al dente chitarra. But the noodles seemed fresh, which means it should be soft and melt. This was chewy and undone. Also, the sauce just fell off the noodle. I was sad because the sauce was good, and unfortunately, I couldn't taste it on the noodles. Now dessert. The gelato was ok, but that peanut butter and chocolate tart was the second best part of the dinner! Started on a high note and ended on a high note. Service was good. Bathrooms were clean. The hostess greated promptly and was helpful. I spoke with the manager Jeff about how wonderful this was, and he was so nice and seemed to really care. One of the chefs (I didn't catch his name) even spoke with us about the dry aged meat in the cooler on our way out. We will be back for the wine, crab cakes, and dessert!!!

The ambience, the food, and our server were excellent. Our only complaint was the very long time between courses and even paying. The wait for requested drinks and food items and even the check was exceedingly long - diminishing an otherwise very favorable experience. We are hoping that in time, this issue will be resolved. We are grateful to have a 5-star restaurant in the south suburbs and definitely want it to be successful!

The lamb chops and pork chops was very good! The whipped potatoes was too “soupy” and I did not like the spinach! The bread was very tasty. The food at WindCreek is in need of improvement period!
