   Altius never disappoints. This has been our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh for years and we are always so excited to go. The food is simply fantastic and the service is excellent.

   Had a fantastic date at Altius. Great service and selection. Food was 10/10. I would’ve liked the lights to be a bit dimmer just to make the experience a bit more intimate but that’s a very small thing and I would definitely return. Beautiful view of the city. Thanks Altius!

   The music, the lights and the decoration were excellent for the restaurant. The view of downtown Pittsburgh is amazing. The staff at the bar and the restaurant were very nice and knowledgeable.

    After being a server in a 5 star restaurant, I can be trusted to say that the waitstaff at Altius were some of the most well-trained I’ve seen in several years. They were courteous, accessible, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was amazing; such a depth of flavor. All items were fresh and made with care. We were impressed with the special touches; tuna tartare, pesto and herbed butter appetizer, baked-fresh focaccia, biscotto served with the coffee and a dessert cookie to go. The minimalistic and chic decor along with a spectacular view completed a unique and satisfying dining experience.

    Best Food with the Best View in da Burgh Wonderful way to celebrate our daughters 21st. The food is amazing and creative. Our server was wonderful and made our daughters birthday very special. Definitely a special occasion kind of place and totally worth it !!

    After trying a couple of local spots for a Friday night dinner and with no success, we somehow managed a reservation! Altius is one of our favorite Pittsburgh restaurants. Between the service and the quality of food and the amount of thought that goes into the plating, it was incredible. We also snugged the best seat in the house for last minute restaurants.

    We have been to Altius many times. This was the first visit we sat on the bottom floor instead of the top – still great views and good service. Our waiter was new but did a great job, very attentive.

    This dinner was a dual birthday celebration with a friend. We were treated well from the reception desk through the entire dinner and including valet service. Adam was our waiter and was friendly and helpful in making menu choices. He took the time to learn our names and used them. Over all a lovely experience for a special occasion.

    Our dinners were fantastic and our server Jeffrey was phenomenal. After the complementary popcorn, we started with the evening's special meatball appetizer. We were then surprised with the mushroom bisque shooter. For entrees, we both ordered the specials - grouper and bone-in ribeye. Both were spectacular. For dessert, we had the creme brulee and then were again surprised by the brownie bites to go. While we didn't have a table right at a window, our view was still nice.

    Our dinner experience was superb! We rode the incline up to the restaurant. The view on the way up and at the restaurant was spectacular! Our server, Chris, along with the other staff provided excellent service and made us feel welcome. The food and drinks were delicious! A great Pittsburgh dining experience for a couple of ladies from out of state.

    This was our first visit to Altius since it reopened. As always, the food was excellent. The cauliflower with black truffles soup was so good that we could have made a meal of it. Our server was perfect, well-versed in the menu, and brought out courses at a pace that didn't feel rushed. We had a lovely evening.
