Altitude Restaurant & Lounge
Food was pretty flavorless. Mediocre at best. They should find a new cook.
We had terrible service and the food wasn’t good either. People were complaining and actually going to the bar themselves for drinks. We been here before but won’t be back. $117 for a meal that took 2 hours, wasn’t good and we had to practically beg for our check to get out of there.
I ordered the seafood medley. The shrimp was super dry and I’m pretty sure I was supposed to get a baguette with it... Not too big a deal since the waitress brought bread to the table. We also ordered the bacon wrapped dates as an appetizer. We didn’t get them until well after we had received our main course. When they did arrive, the bacon was burnt and not very edible. It was disappointing.
The kitchen was playing rap music that was louder than the music in the dining area. We were a couple of tables away from the kitchen entrance, but I still shouldn’t be hearing conflicting music. It was not a very pleasant atmosphere for a dinner date.
The waitress seemed new, or at least I hope she was. It’d be the only way to explain her odd behavior. She kept having to go back and forth to the kitchen to see if certain things were still available. This was after we placed our original order. She also couldn’t recommend anything to me except what was the “most popular” items that were ordered that particular day. Even then she didn’t really have any idea. For the price we were overall disappointed.
We were SO looking forward to getting away for a night out away from our child for our anniversary at a nice romantic restaurant. We got there, settled in and had a great server - Marty. He was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not relaxing. Light too bright, lacking decor, and kids screaming and running around. We spent over $100 to eat in a place that’s the same atmosphere as my house with a screaming kiddo. I won’t be returning due to this for a romantic night out - doesn’t matter how good the food or service was.
We arrived to an unattended hostess station with a sign that said please wait to be seated. After waiting for about 5 minutes the waitress said to sit anywhere. So we chose a table. We sat for 20 minutes waiting for menus. Upon their arrival we ordered 2 drinks and an appetizer. Those took another 25 minutes to show up.
My wife and I discussed and we decided to pay and leave. There apparently was only one waitress working on a Saturday night but the restaurant wasn’t very busy with only 5 tables.
The food tasted good and our drinks were pretty standard. But the service was horrible.
I'm very sad to write this because the ambiance and facility are so welcoming and we were excited for a bit of an experience. Well, sadly that is what we got. But it was not positive. Our total dinner took well over 2 hours and was hit with many flaws. They were ridiculously understaffed and the poor waiter fella had no idea how to handle it all. The 2 meals we came in for were not available and were not told until we went to order 45 minutes after we arrived. The bottle of wine we requested from the list was not found, then 30 min later he came with a suggested bottle instead, it was actually the bottle we wanted and had requested..... The food finally came out about an hour later (there were only 3 other tables sat in the whole restaurant). The scallops, rockfish and Curry were ordered were all overdone, WAAAYYYY over salted and dry as could be. We did not finish our meals. We enjoyed our wine and made the best of it as we don't know the whole story and we hope this may have been isolated. Sadly we will not be making the journey back out to test our theory.
Not a great night for these guys for many reasons. The place was almost completely empty of guest, no reason to be so unprepared on a Fathers Day dinner to serve a family of 4. I sent my food back, my daughter disliked hers as well, way overpriced & service extremely subpar. Left hungry, disappointed, and went home & ate my wife's delicious leftovers from the previous night to satisfy my hanger.
Loved the bartender/server (Moose) he was warm, fun and caring. Food A+, loved the music but would love even more Beatles!
Over cooked and bland steak. Had to refuse to pay for it. So disappointed.
Altitude Restaurant and Lounge is in a lovely setting at the Resort at the Mountain. Food is excellent, and the service is good. They have an extensive wine list. This is an upscale restaurant - yet casual attire is okay. The lobby outside the restaurant has a fireplace, and it's a nice place to relax with a cup of coffee.
Not like it anymore. Bad services food is awful
Have great potentials if the chef is on site. Soup came out cold but was quickly fixed. Had rockfish and it was a not great. Scallops was delicious. Service was superb.
I really enjoyed the ambiance, the wait staff was wonderful. The only real downer about this place was the food. The lamb I got was quite possible one of the worst meals I have ever had. It was a dry cooked tough meat, on top of dry couscous. It was so horrible I wanted to order another meal - but I already paid $30 just for the entree. Would recommend this place - just order anything other than the lamb!!!
Went there for a birthday celebration. They had a pianist playing . Took awhile to get our drinks but waitress was apologetic. Food was just ok lamb chops lacked flavor and very tiny. Steak was good. Very limited menu. Didn’t acknowledge birthday.
The Restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated, but it was empty. We just assumed it’s because it was a Monday evening. After being seated we ordered a glass of wine and a cheese tray while we looked over the menu. We received our drinks and ordered Caesar salad and for our entree the pork chops. The waitress asked if we were ok with “medium rare “? We told her we would like it done and added an order of the brussel sprouts. The restaurant was empty except another couple came in while we were ordering. Our Caesar salad came and was clearly covered with rust? So we picked through it and eat the good pieces but before we could finish our entree came. The pork chop needed a knife, the greens were so over cooked they were brown and the beets could break a tooth! We could not eat it. I asked about the cheese tray and she apologized that they usually have 2 chiefs and they only had 1 (and only 2 tables?) when we asked for our check to get out of there she told us our brussel sprouts were ready and asked if we wanted it to go? This was by far one of the worst meals ever! It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful resort and they seem to have a lot of very nice employees.
Only 1 person working and served as host, bartender, waiter. Long waits and poor service
The hostess was friendly and made us welcome. The wait staff was very timely and friendly they were very good. The bartender was awesome! The star of the show would have to be the chef and kitchen staff. The filet was great and we had breakfast the next morning as well. The quality of food and service was superb.
Upscale prices with average food. They do use seasonal and local ingredients but “grass fed beef” was grain finished. Only one vegetarian option and no vegan entrees. Decent local beee selection. No bread or bites served before main entree like most upscale restaurants. View was of hotel pool.
Food was mediocre my wife’s chicken Caesar salad had raw chicken. They warmed it up in the microwave for her and then still had it at full price on the check. The server was nice but food was terrible. Over heard couple at the bar had even worse dining experience. Stay away except for cocktails they were pretty good.
