Altipiano Vineyard and Winery

I’m a wine reviewer I would not recommend this vineyard. The wine maker makes only red wines that are of Fair quality and associated with very expensive price points. They sell only buy the bottle - No wine tasting is available here.

Incredible family owned winery with the friendliest staff and guest. Beautiful and peaceful place to spend your afternoon.

Love this winery. The owners were so nice and attentive. Their wines tasted great. And their little food trays were nice and the food was very fresh. I will definitely be coming back to this winery.

I enjoyed the drive out to the Vineyard. The Winery was beautiful. It was actually the winemakers home. So lush with plants and water fountains - peaceful. The Petite Syrah was wonderful. I highly recommend a visit.

We love Altipiano! The wine is phenomenal, the views are stunning, and the owners of this family-owned and operated business make you feel like part of the family. A true gem of the Highland Valley!

Beautiful experience and excellent wine, just missed having food! However, they were nice enough to throw something together for us since we were actually there for lunch and wine! Very nice people and gorgeous setting!!!

If your looking for a place to go to have a amazing bottle of wine this is the spot. Breath taking views. Soft music playing in the background what more can you ask for. Although there was not food available there was a charcuterie box option. The hostesses were so welcoming you felt like you’ve know them for years. Definitely would recommend to everyone to try this winery.

Everything was great. They even provided brand new blanket because the weather was cold and windy. They explained all the different wine selection. The atmosphere was so welcoming from the time we arrive to the time we left. We will be back. Thank you for providing such great service.

Altipiano Vineyard and Winery is a beautiful place, peaceful and just a great place to see and visit. The wine is outstanding and worth the beautiful drive. The meat and cheese box was perfect with the wine. I was also able to bring up food as well which was nice. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Service was great, COVID safe, clean and they even provided blankets when it got cold. Perfect place, highly recommend!

Food was reviewed based on not having any available. It’s a place to bring your own food, but they did provide a charcuterie box!

Altipiano is a lovely place to spend a gorgeous and relaxing afternoon! The wine and the hospitality are awesome. Love to visit and spend time here with the wine and the atmosphere. The owners are genuine and warm hosts.

Altipiano Vineyard and Winery is my new favorite Winery in San Diego! I am new to the area and was looking for a spot I could visit often. It's in a great location, beautiful scenary and views, lovely ambiance and great wine. This is the best winery in the area and the owners are hospitable and friendly. I am telling all my friends:)

They don't serve food that's why it was given a poor rating under food. They allow you to bring your own, which is nice.

They don't serve food, but it was the only way to complete my review. We love this little gem in the Highland Valley (Escondido hills). We love the wine, the view and the people. You should go! You won't be disappointed. I believe their wine is even better than most in Temecula and such a short drive if you live in San Diego.

Beautiful private patio setting with multiple tables or fire pits in front of the winetasting room. You can bring your own food and enjoy the wine and sometimes live music.

The wine is delicious and affordable. The view is gorgeous but what I loved the most was the hospitality we received by the owners. I love supporting women owned businesses. You must ask the owner how she got started. Great story!

Amazing little winery. The owners/staff are exceptional. Tonesha (owner’s daughter) was so personable and fun to talk with. We had the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Sangiovese—both amazing. We took our own charcuterie board and enjoyed their fine wines.

We will definitely go back soon.

We had our dog and I did not like that they would not allow him on the main patio where the view and the breeze was. The service was slow. The wine was good and the people that own the winery were very nice.

What a jewel of a place to find - this was just delightful. The view is breathtaking and the Pinto Grigio that we tried was so good we bought bottles to bring back and enjoy at home. Due to COVID they do not serve food but you can take your own picnic basket and have a blast. We'll be going back real soon ...

Altipiano did not disappoint!! They did not serve food because of Covid, but they let us bring our own charcuterie platters. The wines that we tried were pretty good. The owners daughter was a great hostess, she shared the history of how her parents started the winery. And the view was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! We will be back !
