We have been coming to Altesi (formerly Savore) for many years. It is absolutely our “go to” restaurant. Always a wonderful experience. Delicious food, lovely staff and reasonably priced. Highly recommend!
It was a super nice and delicious lunch - everything perfect.
really great outdoor set up and staff. did great with our large group.
The food, value and service were great. The indoor seating was spaced out and quiet. They followed all the Covid protocols such as temperature check, contact info and hand sanitizing. The restaurant felt clean.
Fantastic Italian food; great menu; wonderful choices and excellent service. Love the location in between Soho and The Village.
The ambiance was really nice and they were playing old Italian music which was nice. The food was just okay though. Nothing impressive, not worthy of going back for.
excellent food. nice and attentive people working there. obviously quiet in side due to pandemic. but very nice. bravo to them.
Visited for Valentine's day. Place was honestly phenomenal. Food was great, Wine was very good. Will definitely be back.
This restaurant during covid night was packed to capacity- 100%. We thought it was only allowed to 25%.
I had requested two high chairs on my reservation- when I got to the restaurant they said they only have one high chair in the restaurant. I should have been informed of this.
We asked for water- didn’t get served until we asked for it a third time - which was almost to the end of dinner. My daughter asked for bread. Again- we had to ask three times and it came after we already had finished our entree. Food was mediocre. Terrible experience overall.
Consistently great food and good service/ outdoor space is well done. A neighborhood favorite.
Disappointing. Didn't completely change the table clothes (which makes no sense in COVID times). Very loud music (and odd 1980/90s choices given the Italian nature of the restaurant). Food just par.
I loved my meal. The focaccia bread is a must have!
Amazing service, cozy and great food, a really good option for Italian food in Soho!
Great guality, fresh food!
Very helpful service and low noise level indoor. Yummy pasta and will definitely go back!
Really bad service despite the restaurant was empty
Consistantly good service and excellent food. It's as authentic as it gets!
Terrific, as always. Excellent appetizers, delicious pasta dishes and yummy tiramisu, along with a nice Barolo wine. Top notch service. Don't miss it!!
Love This Place....Food is amazing
Staff is friendly
Great location!
Sat outside. Delicious food. Sliced artichoke and parmesan delicious as was the mushroom ravioli. Super tiramisu. Go and enjoy!
we keep going back. Food, service is all excellent
You will not be disappointed
Perhaps cut backs lost
Them a chef? Got the special lobster bisque soup which had lobster shell pieces in it was not smoothly puréed and over salty. Told
The waiter I had lobster shell in my soup the pieces on the side of my bowl visible and he just said lobster bisque and took it away. Ordered pizza that came slightly undercooked dough light brown and falls apart
bc I could tell it wasn’t very clean to serve reusable menus that are visibly dirty with sticky food spots during a pandemic and not offering hand sanitizer is a bit scary probably won’t return heard it was one of
The best places in the city but it’s not today
Altesi Downtown is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Manhattan. We have been coming here for years way back to when it was callee Savore. The service is always exceptional and friendly. The food is fabulous and I have to comment on what an outstanding job the entire staff has done during these very trying times. Just a stupendous job! Highly recommend!!
Good drinks & food. Very fine service
recommended for a nice leisurely lunch or dinner
will go back
Realizing like most NYC restaurants they are struggling. It has been one of my favorites for nearly 20 years. Had 3 bloody Mary’s there were 3 diners. They were horrible and left unfinished. The Altesi antipasto was pieces of lobster and asparagus stems. I’ll let them get up and running before I bail on them
We've never been disappointed here. We weren't this time either...
We had a lovely meal. Dinner with my parents while visiting from away. We searched best Italian food in soho and this is what we found. Pasta was fantastic. Service was top notch with bread and drinks on the table in less than 5 mins. Staff was so sweet! We got tiramisu to share for desert and it’s the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, a man came to check how our dinner was and had a nice chat with us, turns out he is the owner. Excellent service, amazing food!
Freshly baked focaccia with the white bean spread is delicious! We also enjoyed the fresh artichoke salad with parmigiano and avocado. And of course, the fresh pasta with chanterelle mushrooms is my absolute favorite! Make sure you leave space for tiramisu - it’s the best in NYC!!! The staff is lovely and the ambiance is nice, too!
This is our favorite Italian eclectic restaurant downtown/Soho area. It is unpretentious- excellent dishes- love the Judeo-Roman- style artichoke dish starter; the endive pear and Gorgonzola salad; Branzino; and mushroom pasta.
Heimi our server was charming and attentive. The background music was lovely and for the atmosphere.
We will always return!
This was the perfect location for a friend's birthday party. They handled the large number of guests seamlessly and the food was absolutely delicious!
I was celebrating my birthday and had a great time. The food was delicious and the ambience was unbelievable. Great playlist and clientele (between 25-35). Highly recommend for a date night
food was amazing and the service was excellent. will definitely o back
Avoid not very good
Nice. Fancy pizzeria.
I take my granddaughter who is just 2 there for dinner often. She loves their pasta and I love everything on the menu. Staff couldn’t be nicer!❤️
Got together with friends for dinner. Ordered from the Restaurant Week Menu which had a good variety of choices. Everything was delicious and well portioned. We'll be going back for sure.
It’s just that the dishes were served so lately. But the flavors were OK
We enjoyed a wonderful menu as part of Restaurant Week. The food was delicious.
Lovely service , delicious food .
TERRIBLE service; terrible ambience; terrible noise level
