Altes Jagdhaus Joachim Stern is the former hunting lodge of the family of Graevemeyer and was built in 1852 by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves. No longer the home to hunting parties in smoking jackets, the house is now the perfect fit for a quaint kitchen and restaurant. Altes Jagdhaus Joachim Stern serves vibrant, brilliant plates based on classic German recipes and cooking techniques. All vegetables come from a local farmers market, but they aren't limited just to the more traditional ingredients. Their team of chefs waste nothing and craft delicious dishes from calf's head and veal cheeks, tongue and kidney.

    Each dish is a creation of the chef with a unique flavor. The service is a bit slow precisely because each dish is prepared individually.

    Wonderful Old hunting lodge run by a great family. Menu was quite good, food was fantastic and the staff could not have been nicet

    I reserved through open table for 7 people night of the meal. We didn't find out until we arrived and the taxi had left that they don't honor Open Table. The owner/manager was upset with us for booking through open table. The restaurant was empty and we were very disappointed. it was no where near town and was difficult to get a return taxi. The manager didn't offer another recommendation or even to call us a taxi. It may be a good restaurant, but certainly I will never return.

    Bedienung sehr unaufmerksam. Alle Gänge kamen mit sehr langen Abständen. Gläser kleben am Tisch! Katze läuft durch den Gastraum/Küche offen! Sehr gute Weinauswahl zu moderaten Preisen.

    Der Aussenbereich sieht nicht sehr einladen aus. Nachbarhäuser sollten repariert, renoviert oder abgerissen weden.
